Methis Delis POV

As the doctor finished speaking, I couldn't help but almost laugh at the absurdity of the situation. I had expected my role as the Female Lead to be anything but conventional, but I never imagined playing the part of a surrogate mother. It was a strange predicament, one that left me puzzled and curious about the lycan king's motives.

Sensing my gaze upon him, Jamal's voice cut through the air, stern and commanding. "Methis, there's no need to overthink things. Focus on what you need to do and carry out your role as we've agreed."

I bit my lip, suppressing the questions that threatened to spill from my tongue.

After the checkup, Jamal disappeared once again, leaving me alone with Beta, his trusted companion. Beta, a towering figure with a demeanor that commanded respect, led me through the halls of the palace. Silence enveloped us for a moment before Beta broke it with a nod of apology.

Methis Delis POVBeta hesitated for a moment before speaking. "I know that you are human, and we are wolf people. But I cannot help but feel drawn to you. You have a kind heart and a gentle spirit, and I find myself wanting to protect you."I was taken aback by his words. I had not expected this kind of confession from him, even worse I wasn't particularly sure what he was talking about. "Beta, I...I don't know what to say."He looked at me with earnest eyes. "Don't misunderstand." He said, chuckling slightly, "It's nothing like that, I just wanted to keep things open with you." I smiled softly at him. "Thank you for being honest with me, Beta."Beta nodded, understanding. "I respect that. But know that if you ever need anything, I am here for you.""Thank you, Beta," I said sincerely. We sat in silence once again, watching the young wolves play. I couldn't help but feel a sense of warmth and comfort in Beta's presence. He was still a loyal and trustworthy friend and in the current s

Methis Delis POVWhen the pups finally left us alone, it was almost too dark. Jamal had gone to sleep next to me and the feelings of anxiety I had feared would come when I first got here were finally back, nagging at me like a headache that just refused to go away.It was suffocating to say the least. I lay on the bed, my heart pounding against my chest like a trapped bird desperately seeking escape. The soft moonlight filtering through the curtains cast a silver glow upon the room, throwing light the nagging question that lingered within me. Beside me, lay Jamal, shirtless, sleeping almost quietly, his chest heaving up and down.I felt like I was sleeping next to a tiger, and that any moment, even the tiniest, slightest, wrong move could wake him up and make him tear me apart. So naturally, of course, I decided to tap him.Reaching out, my hand shaking so violently you would have thought I was waking up an ACTUAL tiger, even though he is an Alpha Wolf, so there might not be too much

Methis Delis POVAs the night wore on, the silence between us thickened, punctuated only by the soft whispers of the wind outside and Jamal, who had almost immediately gone back to sleep, his snoring still loud enough to distract me. It was in this stillness that I realized the true weight of my choices. I could give in to the darkness, allowing it to consume me, or I could rise above my circumstances and create my own path.Naturally, as the foolish, naive girl I was, I decided to go for the later. I had been pushed around enough by my stepmom, I wasn't going to let this Alpha do it too, scary as he was. With a newfound determination, I squared my shoulders and met the Jamal's gaze head-on. "I may resemble her, but I am not her. I am me. And I will not allow myself to be defined by past shadows or the expectations of others."He remained silent for a moment, gazing into my eyes, a look of amusement on his face while I stared back, trying not to show any weakness by breaking eye conta

Jamal Kunis POV My hands began to explore Methis's body, conveying my desire and silently urging her to prepare herself. I could sense hesitation in her eyes, a desire to refuse, but before she could voice her thoughts, I silenced her with another passionate kiss. In that moment, I wasn't concerned about her feelings or thoughts. All I wanted was to consume her, to lose myself in the intensity of our connection. Our bodies joined together again, with me holding her against my body as tight as possible, feeling every nook and cranny of her warm, softness. Soon enough, and rather quickly too, what started gently soon became a furious storm of desire and need, mostly on my part of course, almost losing control entirely. Even then, the intensity between us was undeniable. As we moved together, I couldn't help but notice a strange attraction emanating from Methis, something I hadn't felt in the fifteen years since I lost my mate.It was like a strong, earthly scent, that threatened to swal

I sat in Jamal's bedroom, my mind filled with a whirlwind of emotions. I couldn't believe the situation I had found myself in, still trying to process the events from the previous night. But in the face of Jamal's piercing gaze, I couldn't let my vulnerability show. I had to maintain my poise."Another boyfriend? I...I don't remember saying anything about that," I stammered, my voice wavering uncertainly.Jamal's eyes narrowed, his face etched with a mixture of confusion and anger. "Are you trying to teach me how to do things, Methis?"The sheer intensity of his question sent shivers down my spine. I quickly realized how delicate the situation had become. I never anticipated things would escalate to this level. Fear fluttered in my chest as his words hung heavy in the air."N-no, Jamal," I whispered, my eyes downcast. "I never wanted to teach you anythin

Methis POVHe had just disappeared. Turned cold and left me here, alone. I wanted to ask where he was, where he had gone, butDespite the tension between us, I had found solace in the friendship of the wolf children in the palace. I would secretly bring them the best pastries from the palace, forming a bond with these supernatural beings. Through them, I discovered a whole new world filled with werewolves, dragons, and witches. The young wolves eagerly shared their knowledge with me, revealing that there were different types of witches - white, black, and red. White witches were allies of the wolf clan, while black witches were responsible for the death of my parents fifteen years ago. It was a painful reminder of the darkness that lurked within the supernatural realm.“Are you afraid of us?” one of the wolf children had asked her curiously, as they sat around a fire in the woods.I had shaken my head, smiling warmly at them. “No,” she had said. “Why would I be?”“Because we are differ

Jamal Kunis POVI felt a surge of anger and frustration as I walked up to the door of the witch's house and knocked. Don't get me wrong, I had nothing against her in particular. She was the only one who had any solution to this problem.I just hated coming here, hated asking for help from anyone. And especially, hated coming here because it reminded me of how powerless I was. But I had no choice. I was desperate to break the curse that had plagued me since that incident. The door opened and the witch greeted me with a smile. She was a petite woman with blonde hair and blue eyes, dressed in a white robe. She looked harmless, but I knew better. She had power, power that could help me or harm me.“Hello, Jamal." She smiled calmly, a scent of herbs and leaves surrounding her, "Long time no see."I shrugged, "What can I say? I have been very busy.""Come in, come in.” She said, stepping aside to let me enter.I followed her into the living room, where a fire was crackling in the fireplace.

MethisPOVI couldn't help thinking about Jamal, even when he was gone. I had never met him in person, before I signed the contract, which made my initial impression of him even more pronounced He was handsome, I had to admit, with bronze skin, piercing eyes, and a strong jaw. But he also looked cold and ruthless, like someone who would stop at nothing to get what he wanted. And what he wanted was me, or rather, my womb. And yet I couldn't help but feel intrigued by him. I was drawn to him, very strongly. I wondered if he had a mate, or if he ever loved anyone. Did he have any friends or family? Did he have any hobbies, or interests? Did he ever smile, or laugh? Did he ever feel anything at all?I shook my head, trying to banish these thoughts from my mind. It didn’t matter who he was, or what he felt. He was the Alpha, and I was his surrogate. That was all there was to it.I heard a knock on the door, and looked up to see Beta enter. He smiled at me as he walked in, holding a bouquet

Jamal POVI could not believe I was about to do this now. I was about to wrestle this large snake. I could feel my hands sweat as I made my way to the edge of the island. I stopped just beyond the water and took a deep look into the water. From here, I could see its massive outline looming deep beneath the blue, casting a dark shadow in the sea. If that thing truly did swallow the key, then it must have digested already. Either way, today was the day I made my biggest hunting kill. The only problem is unlike other animals I have hunted, this one seemed to have some sense of reasoning. So maybe I could use that against him. I usually did not like to strike first in a fight so maybe I could make this snake strike first. I’d egg him on.“HEY!” I shouted from the edge of the island. “I am ready! Let’s go! Let’s fight!”The beast circled around the water, creating little waves that emerged on the top of the ocean and splashed on the island. I was beginning to question the sanity behind thi

Xander POVI had been chatty at work for some time now. I talked often, perhaps more often than I realized because I was getting more compliments like "What made you start talking so often?" or subtler ones such as "You look to be in a good mood recently." One time, a young lady working with us asked me what had happened during the time I had first begun working here till this moment. They all thought I had received good news that carried me for a long time but in reality, I was the saddest I had ever been in my entire life. I had not realized I talked more often until all the compliments came pouring in. But somehow it all made sense.I was talking more often so I distracted myself from the pain I was feeling. My subconscious mind was trying desperately to find a new connection to forget the broken one o had with Methis. In the past few weeks, I had experienced pain that hit harder than hammer, pain that cut deeper than sword. It was more than a heartbreak. A heartbreak was not the k
