Lucy

I shuddered as the deep voice echoed through my mind.

“Raise your number again, and I will rip out your throat.”

Whoever it was, they were violent. I heard a hiss of pain and gasps around the room. Soon after, I was dragged off the stage and down the hall again. The floor turned into carpet beneath my feet. Unlike before, they said nothing. I heard a door open. Then, I was tossed onto something soft like a bed.

The door closed behind me. I shuddered as the quiet fell around me. It didn’t take long before the door opened again. I flinched as two sets of footsteps entered. Then, the door closed behind them.

“She’s… very skinny.”

I curled tighter. I heard one set of footsteps got closer. Then, a large warm hand fell on my head. I flinched away. A soft voice hushed me.

“Easy,” a man said softly. “I’m going to take your blindfold off, okay?”

My jaw trembled, but I jerked my head. It was better than I could have hoped for.

His hands went to the knot at the back of my head and started to tug at it. I listened for the other person to get closer, but the other person didn’t move. Then, the blindfold slid from my face. I blinked, trying to adjust to the dimness of the room. I looked up and froze. The man standing over me was handsome and tall. I had never seen anyone like him. There was something about him that made me want to do whatever he wanted me to. My heart raced as I looked up into burning red eyes. They weren’t angry, but they were completely unnatural.

“You’re scaring her,” a stern, cold voice said from near the door.

“I think she was more scared to be blindfolded in a room with two strangers,” he said and looked back at me. “I’m Matt by the way. Can I take the gag off?”

I glanced over at the other man who was half-hidden in shadow. His eyes were glowing red as well. Who were they? What were they? I nodded shakily.

“Why didn’t you just do that first?” The other ask.

“Because it’s nice to ask,” Matt said simply. He untied the gag and pulled it out of my mouth. He smiled leaning down and getting close. His eyes darted over my face.

Then, he pressed his lips to mine in a short, soft kiss. I gasped and pulled back. He hushed me again, cupping my face. My face burned. No one had ever kissed me before. I wasn’t sure if the nervous feeling in my stomach was good or bad.

“Easy,” he said and licked his lips. “I’m going to untie you now, okay?”

I nodded, staring at him, unsure of what else to do or say. He was… being gentle with me, but one of them had to be violent. I didn’t know who it was. Neither of them sounded like that voice I’d heard.

“You’re worse than usual,” the other man said, drawing closer. I stiffened, watching every move he made as Matt untied me.

“And you’re being more rude than usual. Aren’t you going to introduce yourself?”

The ropes came free from my wrists. I rubbed my wrists and tried not to flinch away as Matt pulled me against his side, pressing his nose against my neck and breathing deeply.

“You smell so good…” he groaned and placed a hand on my thigh. “What’s your name?”

I shuddered as his breath tickled across my neck. His hand twined in the short hair at the nape of my neck.

“Why isn’t your hair longer?” He said, twirling a curl around his finger. “I prefer long hair…”

I leaned away from him, trying to get free, but the other man sat on the other side and cupped my face. His grip was firm, but not painful as he lifted my hand to look into his eyes. They were cold and still filled with that unnatural glow. His face was the exact same as Matt’s.

“Your name, little thing,” he said.

I stiffened at the nickname. I didn’t like it, but I couldn’t say anything.

“Be nice,” Matt hummed against my neck. His hand slipped higher up my thigh. “Might be nice if you told her your name first.”

“Tony,” he said and leaned closer, grazing his lips against mine. “Your name.”

“L-Lucy.”

He snorted. “It’s a terrible name.”

“Tony, be nice,” Matt said, dragging his teeth across my neck. His hand slid up toward my hip and around my waist. I tried to lean away from Tony, but Tony followed my movement. He pressed his lips to mine, firmly. I tried to pull away. My heart was racing.

Maybe I wouldn’t die, but I would never be the same again.

I closed my eyes and let Tony do whatever he wanted. He prodded my lips with his tongue. I opened my mouth letting him lick into my mouth as Matt tugged the thin dress I’d been put in higher until he could slip his hand beneath it. I jumped at the feel of Tony’s hand on my other thigh. He sucked my tongue into his mouth. My stomach fluttered with nerves.

I had never imagined anyone would ever kiss me.

Tears welled in my eyes. This wasn’t what I had ever imagined, but I didn’t have a choice. There were two of them. They were bigger than me. Even if I could get out of this room, those other men were probably nearby.

“Stop,” Tony said sternly, drawing back.

I sucked in a breath, panting as I realized that I hadn’t been breathing.

Matt’s lips left my neck. His hand remained on my thigh. His finger stroked the inside of my thigh lightly.

“Nice of you to say after you’ve gotten so much,” Matt said.

“I know you,” Tony said and pulled back. He released my face, but his hand didn’t move from my thigh.

I dropped my gaze to my legs. Tony’s hand rested on top of the skirt of the dress. Matt had hiked the other side up so high most of my other leg was bare. His hand was dangerously close to the top of my thighs. I pressed my thighs together hoping he would move his hand.

He didn’t.

“Given half the chance, you would have her here,” Tony said. “No.”

Matt sighed and lowered his head onto my shoulder. “Fine. It’s not that I don’t agree… but we should get a move on.”

“Lucy,” Tony said. “We’re going to take you home with us. It will take some time to get used to living with our pack, but you will be safe.”

I frowned, looking up at him. I swallowed. I needed to ask. I had to ask, even though I was scared and unsure.

“P-Pack?”

He frowned and looked at me. The glowing red of his eyes vanished revealing deep brown eyes. He leaned closer and stuck his nose against my neck, breathing deeply. He pulled back and looked even more confused.

“You’re… different.”

“D-Different?”

“She’s not human,” Matt said.

My heart raced. What did that mean? Of course, I was human.

“Hm,” Tony said. “Half, then.”

He shook his head and looked at me. “What do you know about werewolves, Lucy?”

My eyes widened. I grew stiff as my stomach started to knot. What was he bringing up myths for? Werewolves weren’t real.

His lips twitched. He stood and dropped the cloth he’d had draped over his body. He shrunk quickly. Hair sprouted all over his body. Then, he turned into a wolf with glowing red eyes.

I jumped back, pushing away from him and Matt as a scream escaped me. Matt wrapped his hand around my arm.

“Easy, Lucy. We won’t hurt you.” Matt smiled. “We could never hurt you… You’re our mate.”

I shook my head. Unable to understand.

“You were meant to be ours.” I gasped as I realized that voice I heard before was Tony.

“You can understand him?” Matt asked.

“I told you. She’s half,” Tony scoffed and shifted back into his human form, drawing the cloth back over his body. “We are alpha twins. Because of that, we share a mate. You.”

“M-Me?”

“She speaks,” Tony said, lifting an eyebrow at me. “You will not be returning to the human world. If there is anything of importance where you were taken from, we can have it retrieved, but you will be with us for the rest of your life.”

I blinked at him. I understood what he was saying. I nodded and said nothing. I knew just from how they acted that I was just going to be their shared sex slave.

I could only hope it would be a better life than living with the people who sold me.

LucyThey got me off the bed and ushered me out of the room. I wasn’t paying much attention to anything else they were doing, but I listened to the way they talked to the people at the counter. Matt seemed really nice. Tony seemed really cold.“Have our car brought around immediately. We won’t be staying here.”“Oh, but typically, that price is only for–”Tony growled at the man behind the counter. “We do not share. The price was set, and no stipulations were discussed prior to purchase. We are leaving. Give me her things.” Matt turned to me. “Is there anything you want to keep from… wherever you’re from? I couldn’t think of anything, so I shook my head. It wasn’t as if I owned a lot of things anyway.“There was nothing with her. She hadn’t been here long, no more than a few minutes before she was put on auction.”Tony turned and led the way to the front doors. Other people in nice clothes milled around and watched as we passed. I thought maybe one of them would help me, but none

Matt“How long are we staying here?” I asked. It wasn’t like Tony to want to stay in the human world long. Let alone at this house, and I missed the scent of the forest around the pack estate.“A month,” he said as we waited for Lucy to come out of the bathroom. “She needs to eat more.”I nodded. “Fair. Do you think she’ll relax a bit?”“She’s not going to have much choice.”I scoffed. “Do you have to be like that?”Lucy came out, silent and looking at us as if we would lunge across the room and tackle her. “Dinner,” Tony said, gesturing to the tray on the cart. “Get back in bed.”She ducked her head. Her eyes were wide with fear, and she scurried across the room. She climbed back onto the bed. Before she could reach for the tray, Tony had uncovered it and set it over her lap. “The doctor says you’re underweight,” Tony said. “You’re going to be eating three meals a day at least from now on.”She looked down at the tray. “What… is this?”“Steak and potatoes,” Matt said. “And spinach

LucyIt had been a week since I woke up in the bed between Matt and Tony. Every day they fed me, sat with me, and even though I didn’t say much, neither of them seemed to be upset about it. One of them was always with me when I went to sleep, it was usually Matt, but sometimes Tony would be there too, dressed in a suit and curled up on my other side. I couldn’t help but think that maybe they didn’t mean any harm. That they might even care about me. “What are you thinking about?” Matt asked, lounging beside me, twining his fingers in my curls the way he usually did.“Why… do you look at my hair like that?”He smiled. “I told you I prefer long hair. I’m waiting for it to grow.”I couldn’t help but laugh at the way he pouted at me. His eyes lit up, and he shifted closer, tugging me to lay beside him. “That’s the first time you’ve laughed,” Matt murmured softly, brushing his lips against my forehead. “All the jokes I’ve told? Do you just not think I’m funny?”I swallowed, not sure how

He chuckled. “I’ll run you a bath. We’re going out tonight. It’s about time you got to enjoy being an adult, don’t you think?”I frowned. “I’m… only eighteen.”“Adult enough.”Tony went to the bathroom. Lucy I screamed and stumbled back away from them at the sound of their growls and the sight of them. I couldn’t believe it. My adoptive father went running away screaming before either of them could bite him. They turned back with their glowing red eyes. Their fangs glistened dangerously. I screamed again. I shut my eyes as they came closer, expecting them to bite me. One of them pushed his nose against me. I shuddered and opened my eyes as I heard the car we had come in return. I scrambled towards the car. I flung the door open and crawled inside. The two of them jumped inside just after me and someone closed the door. I pressed myself against the other door, staring at them and panting in terror. The two white wolves with glowing eyes looked between each other and me the whole way home without saying a word. LucyThe month passed so quickly. It seemed like I had sex with them every day, but then, they had everything they’d bought me packed up. “Where are we going?” I asked as Matt led me to the car. Tony was already inside, finishing a call. He helped me inside and pulled me into his lap to kiss me. “Not fair,” Matt said, climbing in after me. “I know you kissed her all this morning while I’ve been busy,” Tony said, twirling one of my curls on his finger. My hair had grown a bit over this month. “Hasn’t he?”I ducked my head and nodded. Tony’s chest rumbled as he pulled me close. “I can’t smell you all over her, so shut up.”Matt huffed. “Are you really going to kiss her the whole way there?”“Yeah,” he said and shoved a laptop into Matt’s arms. “And you’re going to be a decent brother and assistant and read emails.”Matt grumbled, but he didn’t sound angry. Tony kissed me deeply. He always kissed me so different from the way Matt did. It was like he wanted to taste every part of my

We promise to take good care of you, though.”I didn’t count the number of doors we passed until we reached the end of the hallway, and he threw open the door. “And this is my room,” Matt said. They invited him, so why would they be upset that he was here?“I’ve known Lucy since we were kids,” David said, his eyes narrowed. “And who are you to her?”He growled again. “Don’t pretend that you didn’t hear me. You’re a guest, so that’s the only reason I’m letting you off lightly. Touch her again, and I’ll kill you.”My eyes widened, and I pushed at Matt’s hand, but he was so much stronger than me. I snuggled deeper into the warmth of David's embrace, the rhythmic rise and fall of his chest a soothing lullaby. He slipped his hand across my lower back. LucyI sat on the cold stone, watching her, but she didn’t move another muscle. I didn’t know how long it had been, but it didn’t matter. The spectral glow around her was starting to dim, and my mind was just too stressed to do too much thinking. The light of the ritual, the spell I’d used, the blood on my hands all flashed through my mind, and part of me wondered if it was all just a dream. I looked down at the stained and ruined gown. The armor was as pristine as ever, but most of the embroidered roses were torn or stained. This dress would never be white again, let alone whole. I flicked a piece of the long, gossamer fabric and shook my head. I really liked this dress.“Lucy!”I turned my head toward the sound of David’s voice, wrung out and relieved to hear him. He was rushing through the air towards me. He dropped down a few feet from me, looking so worried I could cry.I smiled at him as he dropped to his knees beside me and threw his arms around me,

"You underestimate me.” “No, Lucy,” her voice dropped, and a cruel smile twisted her lips. "You underestimate me.” The chanting grew louder around me. I lunged for the necklace, my fingers grazing its cold surface before Selene snatched it away, a triumphant gleam in her eyes. But that touch, fleeting as it was, ignited something. I felt her pushing at my mind. I felt her shoving me back until I could see the forest from before, and we were fighting in a ci

He was always the stronger of the two of us. I thought it was just because he was the older of the two of us, but this was different. I thought for sure he was going to bite off my head. Then, a flash of golden light arced through the air, and a spear lanced past my shoulder, catching Tony square in the chest. I turned back to see Ginevra hovering in the air. Her golden dress glowed as she passed me with a glowing winge spreading from her back. His eyelids fluttered, eyelids so pale they were almost luminous in the dim torchlight. He struggled to get up, leaning on his Spear and on Michelle. The light pulsing through the Spear rippled over his skin. He let out a soft sigh and stumbled a little. “Peter?”“I... It’s gone.”“What?” Michelle gasped as his hair started to change, losing the gray color and growing dark. His face turned younger until I was sure that he was all of twenty-something. He grew a bit taller, too, bigger until his shirt strained against his chest and his buttons popped. He flushed. “Well… that’s not…” He cleared his throat as Michelle smiled up at him. “So this is what you looked like in your youth?”He scoffed. “I’m much younger than you think.”He grunted, pressing a hand to his side. “Wish the Spear would heal the wound, though.”I winced. “Sorry… it’s a

PeterMy feet pounded a frantic rhythm against the uneven earth, branches whipping at my face, thorns tearing at my clothes. How long had I been running? How much further did I have to go? I didn’t know, and it didn’t matter so long as I got there. My lungs burned, legs screaming in protest, but still I ran. The trail of blood behind me and the patchwork of wounds across my body, chunks of missing and regrowing flesh, weren’t my concern right now. The creature—the wolf was after me, and unlike before, it didn’t seem willing to back off or slow down. It was going to kill me, and what happened after that was anyone’s guess. Behind me, the guttural snarl of the wolf echoed through the trees. Too close to be comfortable. Too close to make sense. This was too much like that dream, but worse. So much worse. Michelle kept up relatively well. We twisted and turned, navigating the treacherous path by torchlight and the spectral murmurs of White Moon's fallen. But the passage seemed to twist back on itself.
