Chapter Thirty Five

“Where is she?” Brad demanded.

His sister Sadie stood in the foyer with a glass of white wine between her fingers. I would need one of those.

“In your old room changing the baby,” Sadie replied.

Brad’s face went pale. He barely believed there was a baby. When he heard the little guy cry upstairs blood drained even in his hands.

“Well…”

“Well is right. How could you do this to me?” Sadie blasted.

“To you?” Brad frowned.

“You know I can stand Sydney now she calls me Aunty Sadie.”

“Relax, I’m not sure the baby’s mine,” Brad said.

“Of course the baby’s yours. Scared of hurting my sister’s feelings? You should be more worried about how your son will feel when he realizes his father denied him.” Sydney spoke as she descended the stairs with the baby in her arms.

Just the sight of him paralyzed me. His little hand shot out from the blanket. Brad admitted he slept with Sydney so they could make a baby.

“Sydney, nice to have you back. Don’t take it personally, I just need a DNA test.”
