LIAM

I removed the leather gloves and wiped my hands clean with a handkerchief. The guards found the man and took him back to his cell. When I was done cleaning my hands, I turned to the two of them.

"And do you know how he had found out I was going to be there?" I asked, still cleaning my hands although there was nothing on them. I was trying to keep my anger in check.

"You think we have a spy?" Kris asked.

"Why don't you tell us, Varis?" I asked, looking at him. He immediately bowed his head.

"I'm sorry, Liam." He apologized. Kris looked at him with his jaw dropped.

"You're a spy?" Kris asked.

"He's not, you bastard. Varis doesn't have the guts to betray family." I said.

We were like family. That was sure.

"He wanted to apologize. So, you told him where I was going." I said, a sort of eery calm coming over me. "Why was he in my territory to begin with? I sent him away."
