Who Are You?

Maverick's POV

Most times I tend to forget about Brynlee's condition. The disappointment held each time by those eyes that once loved me, was truly heartbreaking.

Each fucking time, I felt like my heart was torn into pieces. That was the exact feeling I was having when I saw her looking at me while reluctantly following me to the castle.

I wondered when everything would be normal again. Although I wanted to feel her love once more, I was ready to wait for her.

I drove the car silently till we got to the castle. The maids were excited and my little family was waiting for her outside, eagerly. I got down from the car and let her out.

"Oh, I missed you!" Ellen exclaimed, tears brimming in her eyes.

"Brynlee..." My mother whispered, obviously excited yet heartbroken.

I sighed seeing that Brynlee was most likely confused. I walked toward her and took her hands and I pointed to them." These are my family. She is my mother and she is my sister, Ellen. She is also your best friend."
