THE PAIN in Michelle’s heart was excruciating. Her outburst was unexpected, humiliating, but she could no longer take it all back.

Amidst of walking, and crying under the rain, a warm hand held her hand, squeezing her palm. Her lips quivered as she came to a halt, turned around only to see Ethan once again. It became even more painful, seeing the soft expression on his face.

“I told you to go,” Michelle said coldly.

Ethan shook his head, and that made her even more miserable. Her entire being ached so much. She gasped when he pulled her closer, engulfing her in an unexpected hug. He wrapped his arm around her so tight, as if he was afraid to let her go.
