Chapter Forty

AVERY

After returning to my room, I was surprised by the arrival of two guards, who brought in a fridge, with a maid trailing behind them with a bag in her hand.

"What's all this?" I asked, confusion etched on my face as the guards deposited the fridge at a corner before they turned to me.

"It's from the Alpha. We will take our leave now." They said and walked out before I could say another word.

"I really don't understand?" I told the maid who just smiled and walked to the fridge where she began stocking it up.

"The Alpha asked that we bring this to you considering your late-night visit to the kitchen because you were hungry. He says you should make use of this next time."

"Oh – "I trailed off, not knowing what to say. Alpha Drew - he is so attentive and caring, and I don't seem to understand why. Is this his nature or... I don't even know. He is just the best. From saving me at the woods to accepting me at the pack with a lot of care being advanced towards me.
