Zoe’s POV

“Zoe…!”

I heard my mother’s voice as she called my name.

“I’ll be there in a minute, mom!” I yelled back as I put on my shirt.

I decided to take a shower after I came back from work. And also see mom, who’s ready for work. But until now, she’s still not leaving. I wonder why.

I climbed downstairs and frowned when I saw her holding my phone.

“This keeps on ringing, and it shows Helios. However, I didn’t dare to answer it. I don’t want you to get upset because you look UPSET,” she said and gave stressed the word: upset.

I pressed my lips and reached for my phone. Mothers really know best.

“What happened again, Zoe?” she asked. Guess she smelled misunderstanding again.

I shook my head and smiled. “Nothing, mom. Don’t worry about me. It’s just that I am not really comfortable staying at his house,” I replied; much to say, I lied.
