Helios remained silent for a moment, making me heave a deep sigh.

“Helios, you must understand me. You can’t just get what you want or make things happen the way you want. By looking at her, Chloe is a sweet girl. Please, don’t drag me—”

“You’re already part of my life, Zoe. And Chloe has nothing to do between us.”

“Your father is against my closeness to you—he may not tell it directly, but I can feel it.”

“I am getting your father’s approval too.”
