Bella’s POV

"Jesse, you still don’t wanna tell me where we’re going?" I asked again, as one of his men was dragging my suitcase behind me as we walked toward the car.

He didn’t even flinch. "Nope."

I narrowed my eyes on him. "Seriously?"

"You’ll know when we get there," he said, opening the car door for me with that frustratingly smug smile of his. "Trust me, baby."

I sighed dramatically but slid into the seat anyway. "You’re lucky I like surprises."

"We both know you love surprises when I’m the one giving them," he said smoothly, kissing the back of my hand as he got in beside me.

We drove straight to the private airstrip—because of course Jesse had a private jet. Sometimes I forget how ridiculously rich he was.

“Let’s goooo, baby!” he said, full of boyish excitement as he led me up the steps.I’d never seen him act this way, but I was happy.

"Jesseeeee!" I whined, laughing, as he pulled me onto the plane like a child going to Disneyland.

Inside, everything looked like a luxury hotel

Jesse immediately kissed me. I was taken by Surprise. He then leaned down to pull off my clothes. Straightening up he unbuttoned my blouse and unhooked my bra, lifting it up to free my breasts. The fingers of his other hand went down to my pussy. He inserted three fingers inside me. I let out a soft moan. His mouth was harsh and demanding, hurting my round nipples a little as he bit and sucked them. I knew if I told him it was hurting, he would stop, but I didn’t want him to stop. I loved the semi-painful feeling. His dick was now even more huge as it came back into my hand seeking the pleasure that only a woman's hand can give. As my fingers gripped it, stroked it and squeezed it I felt him grunt in pleasure. As he was sucking on my breasts, I took his head in my hands and drew him back towards my lips. As he glanced up at me I asked him, "Would it be alright if I sucked your dick?"His smile was so sweet as he told me, "Fuck, Bella, Yes." I just blushed back at him and told him,

The moonlight bathed everything in a soft silver hue. I had just slipped on one of the silky robes provided by the resort when I decided to go check out the rest of the property—curious about the place Jesse had brought me to. He was still lounging on the bed, half-covered by the sheets, looking too tempting for his own good.“I’ll be right back,” I told him.“Hurry, or I’ll come dragging you back myself,” he teased with a lazy smirk.I grinned and stepped out.Moments later, while Jesse leaned back, stretching his arms behind his head, a soft knock came at the door.“Come in,” he said absentmindedly. The door creaked open, and a young, strikingly beautiful staff member stepped inside, her hips swaying with a tray of freshly folded towels. Her name tag read Elsa.“Sir,” she said, her voice low and sultry. “I’ve brought extra towels for your evening comfort.”“Just leave them by the door,” Jesse replied without looking at her.But Elsa didn’t move toward the door. Instead, she set the

The Next MorningSunlight never quite touched this place, but the ambient glow of the starlit sky filtered in gently through the expansive windows. It was a strange kind of beauty—otherworldly, like we’d fallen into a dream that didn’t want to end.I stretched under the silky sheets, feeling the warmth of Jesse beside me before I even opened my eyes.“Good morning, Mrs. Roberts,” his voice was a smooth rumble against my neck, lips brushing my skin.“Mmm,” I mumbled, still drowsy. “Stop calling me that. I’m not officially your wife.”“You will be,” he whispered confidently. “Soon.”I turned to face him, eyes still half-closed, “You’re too smug in the mornings.”“And you’re too cute when you’re sleepy,” he teased, leaning down to kiss my nose. Then he got out of bed.“Get dressed,” he said, throwing a robe gently at me. “Something simple. You don’t need to look too fancy… you’re about to get wet.”My brows rose instantly. “Jesse.”He grinned, wicked and playful. “Relax, it’s not what yo

Our lips met—fierce, deep, and trembling with everything we couldn’t say in words. Jesse pulled me closer, like he wanted to merge our souls together. His hands cradled my face as he kissed me again and again, like he needed to be sure I was really his now. I wasn’t even sure when I ended up in his lap, my arms wrapped tightly around his neck, but I didn’t care. The world outside faded. There was only us.He rested his forehead against mine, our breaths mingling, eyes locked.“You have no idea how long I’ve waited to hear you say yes,” he whispered, brushing a kiss across my cheek, then my jaw. “I don’t think I’ve ever wanted anything this much in my life.”I smiled, my voice still shaky. “You already have me, Jesse. You have me now, baby.”He kissed me softly again, this time slower, deeper—full of promises and quiet devotion. Then he stood up with me still in his arms and spun me around, laughing as I clung to him.“Careful!” I gasped through a giggle.“I can’t help it,” he grinned.

I got tired of the game at some point and flopped onto the couch with a sigh, the bright lights of the screen flashing lazily against my face.“Ugh, Daniel, I gotta go,” I mumbled. He chuckled over the phone. “Alright, Bella. But admit it—we make a good team.”I smiled faintly. “Yeah, we do. Thanks for playing with me.”He hung up, clearly pleased with how far we’d climbed in the rankings. But as the silence of the penthouse closed in, I realized how hollow it felt without Jesse.Minutes passed. Maybe an hour. I stared out the floor-to-ceiling windows, watching the city blur beneath a veil of twilight. Then—Click. The door opened, and Jesse stepped in, his silhouette cutting against the fading sun.“Baby,” he said, his voice low and warm, “Did I take too long?”I didn’t answer. I ran to him and wrapped my arms around his neck, burying my face into the crook of his neck. I had missed him more than I realized in those few hours.“Yes, you did,” I whispered. “What’s happening, Jesse? Wh

The moment I saw the news explode across every gossip site, I knew the bomb had landed perfectly. Joan’s name was trending for all the wrong reasons—affairs, scandalous photos, and sordid voice notes with a certain married socialite. It was delicious. But something was missing.I wanted her to know. I wanted her to hear it from me. Let her know I’m responsible for her downfall. So I grabbed my phone, took a deep breath, and dialed her number. She picked up almost instantly.Joan: (panicked) “Hello?! Who is this?!”Me: (sweetly) “Why so anxious, Joan? Afraid someone might’ve dug up all the skeletons in your closet?”There was a pause. Then, her voice turned sharp.Joan: “Bella? You’re the one that released those articles about me!”I let out a low chuckle. “Oh, Joan. You should really work on your password security. ‘QueenJoan123’? Really?”Joan: “You hacked me?! Reluctantly, they nodded.Ten minutes passed. Then twenty.Nothing.Dallas returned, and the look on his face said it all.“Sir,” he whispered in my ear, “someone’s tampered with the software. They disabled key files. It wasn’t an internal glitch.”My jaw clenched. “Who?”“We’re still checking logs, but… it looks intentional.”I looked back at the table. The representatives were gathering their briefcases and standing up.“Gentlemen, please,” I said, desperate now. “Give me until tomorrow. I promise I’ll have this fixed.”One of them raised a brow. “You expect us to delay international schedules because your system is unprepared?”“Unprepared? No,” I shook my head. “Sabotaged.”Their expressions shifted slightly—but not with sympathy. Disappointment. Annoyance.“Mr. Julius,” the lead representative said, “this was your opportunity to show us your technology. And unfortunately… this has been a complete waste of our time.”They filed out one after the other, their silence louder than an

The investors leaned forward slightly, intrigued. I smiled inwardly, knowing they were now hooked.I zoomed in on the global map. “Here, we can see live data streams from multiple international sources, processing billions of transactions per second. This is real-time data aggregation from diverse sectors—finance, health, retail, government. It doesn’t just sit in one database. It integrates seamlessly into various networks worldwide.”I glanced at their faces—curiosity was beginning to replace skepticism. The woman in the navy-blue suit, who had been the most critical so far, raised an eyebrow. “Live data? So this system adapts dynamically?”“Exactly,” I said, clicking through to another screen. “But it’s not just about gathering data. It’s about interpreting it. This is an AI-powered engine that learns from every interaction. The more it works, the smarter it gets. Predictive algorithms adjust in real-time to forecast market trends, consumer behavior, even weather patterns.”I could

A few hours later, after changing into a sleek burgundy dress and soft curls falling over my shoulder, I met Julius at the door. He wore a tailored navy shirt and black slacks. Clean. Refined. A shadow of the man he used to be—but steadier somehow. We stepped into the private car and drove quietly through the city until we reached the restaurant:Menita. One of the most luxurious dining spaces in Dexy City.Floor-to-ceiling windows.Crystal fixtures.Soft violin playing in the background. We mostly talked about business—plans for his reentry into the corporate world, the companies I was offering him, market trends, and leadership transitions. It helped keep things neutral. Professional. We both needed that buffer, even if the tension kept rising under the surface like heat beneath glass. But then, as dessert was cleared and the waiter stepped away, Julius leaned forward and gently took my hand across the table.“Bella…” he said softly, “can you not try?”I froze. He didn’t blink. Bella’s POV“I should, um… go back to my room,” I said, clearing my throat as I turned away, hoping to put some space between us.I had already given him too much—this penthouse, the second chance, a place in my world again. But as I moved, his hand reached out and gently caught my waist.“Bella.”His voice was soft, but it stopped me cold.I froze.“Tell me the truth,” he said, his grip light but grounding. “Why are you being so kind to me?”I turned halfway, not daring to face him fully. His voice dropped lower, just above a whisper. “Really, Bella… why?”I shivered. From the warmth of his breath near my skin…From the question I hadn’t let myself answer out loud.“It’s because…” I faltered.“…because of your grandfather. He… he was kind to me. He believed me when no one else did.”Julius didn’t move. But I could feel the way he was looking at me—like he already knew I was only telling half the truth.“Is it really because of him, Bella?”My breath caught in my throat. Before I coul

The doctor arrived moments later, bowing swiftly. “My lady, let me examine him.”I nodded and stepped aside. He moved efficiently, checking Julius’s pupils, pulse, oxygen levels, and scanning his vitals with a sleek diagnostic wand.Minutes later, he turned to me, serious but calm.“Thankfully, you brought him here on time,” the doctor said. “Any more exposure to those drugs and he would’ve lost his sanity permanently.”I gasped softly. My hand flew to my mouth. “Can he be saved now?”The doctor gave a slow nod. “Yes. But it’ll take time. He’s been heavily sedated for months. The chemicals used in mental suppression aren’t just physically harmful—they alter the brain. He’ll need therapy. Detox. And support.”I swallowed hard. “Support?”The doctor’s tone didn’t waver. “After taking that level of mental dampeners, it creates a dependency. It functions like an addiction. Withdrawal will be hard. He may experience confusion, aggression, even moments of paranoia. But it is reversible.”I

“I’ll be traveling to Dexy City soon,” I told him. “You’ll remain here. Second in command. Make sure everything continues running as we’ve arranged.”Kael nodded once. “As you wish.”“But before I go,” I added, looking him in the eye, “I want you to do something for me.”He straightened slightly.“I want you to get Julius out of the mental prison.”A flicker of surprise crossed his face, but he didn’t question it.“Understood. Discreet or forceful?”“Discreet,” I replied. “Do not alert Jesse. Do not spill blood unless absolutely necessary. I don’t want a war—I want a transfer.”“He’s held in Denver facility,” Kael said, already thinking it through. “Fully funded by Jesse. High-level surveillance. I’ll need one of our shadow units.”“You can take two,” I said. “And if anyone asks? It’s a relocation for evaluation. Then bring him to me.”Kael nodded. “And if Julius resists?”I paused.“Tell him it’s from me,” I said. “And he owes it to his grandfather to take the second chance.”Kael bo

Jesse’s POVI came back within the hour.It wasn’t supposed to be anything major—just a quick meeting to finalize the security detail before our transfer to Dexy City. I had made sure everything was locked down before leaving. Bella was supposed to be safe. Untouchable. But the second I stepped into that hospital room, something felt wrong. The air was off. Still.Too still. My eyes narrowed as I stepped closer to the bed. She was lying too flat. Too stiff. The shape of her body didn’t match—too short, too small. My pulse spiked.I crossed the room in three strides and yanked the blanket back. Not Bella.A nurse. Young. Terrified. Her eyes shot open. She scrambled to sit up. “Sir—please—”I didn’t wait.“Who the hell are you?” I snapped.“P-please, I don’t know where she is,” she cried, trembling. “She made me do it. She said if I didn’t pretend to be her, she’d hurt me. She took my scrubs, my ID—she was gone before anyone noticed—please, you have to believe me!”My heart slammed agai

Kael nodded sharply. “You’ll have it within the hour.”Declan looked at me as if seeing a different woman than the one who arrived earlier—no longer lost, or grieving, but commanding.Kael led me through the inner gates of the stronghold. It was another world within the estate—a command center hidden beneath beauty. Stone stairwells, reinforced steel doors, old retinal scanners from decades ago now flickering back to life with my presence. He opened a heavy metal door to a large room—part war room, part memory.Walls covered in maps.A central table glowing with a 3D hologram of the region.Weapons racks. Surveillance monitors. Files. This was my father’s mind—preserved.I walked inside slowly, touching the edge of the table. My reflection shimmered across the digital surface. My hand trembled as I laid the seal in the center. It fit perfectly in the seal reader embedded in the console. The system lit up.A soft voice echoed through the room: “Alaric’s heir… access granted.”I closed

They looked at me harshly. Suspicious. Cold. The moment the electric gate slid open, a cold hush fell over the entire compound.Beyond the metal doors stood nearly two dozen men, dressed in black military-grade uniforms—eyes sharp, movements precise. Their presence was commanding. Dangerous. These were not ordinary guards. These were my father’s shadows—men of silence and steel. And they were now staring at me like I was an illusion.Declan stepped forward with firm authority and pride in his voice.“She is Bella,” he declared. “She has returned.”The words hung in the air like thunder. The men didn’t move. They didn’t blink.Instead, a few exchanged glances. One narrowed his eyes. Another clenched his jaw. Then a tall, battle-worn man from the front line stepped out—gray in his beard, eyes like stone. “Declan… is this some kind of test?” he asked, his voice low and skeptical. “The heir died. We buried the legacy long ago. This woman can’t be who you say she is.”Declan stood his grou

Declan followed close behind, brows drawn low. He still didn’t fully believe it—but his eyes told me he wanted to.“Give me a shovel,” I said. “And get me a few more men to assist.”He looked startled. “Miss, you shouldn’t be doing hard labor in your condition.”“I’m not asking,” I said softly. “Just point them to me.”Declan hesitated. Then nodded.Within minutes, two more men joined us. They looked younger—possibly new recruits—but the moment Declan barked an order, they obeyed without question.I pointed at the exact spot beneath the tree. “There. Dig there.”The first shovel hit the dirt with a thud. Then the next.I watched silently as they worked. Every slice of earth peeled back more of the past. And then—after twenty long minutes—the metal edge of the shovel hit something solid.A small, rectangular box.Old. Rusted at the corners. But still intact. One of the men looked to Declan.Declan stepped forward, knelt beside the hole, and lifted the box carefully. He wiped the dirt f

She didn’t argue. She lay where I’d been moments ago.“Cover up with the white blanket. Don’t move. Don’t breathe loud.”I pulled the hood of her scrub top over my head, snatched her ID from the lanyard clipped at her waist, and shoved it into the pocket. My hands trembled only for a second before I steadied them.In less than two minutes, I was out the door. The nurse’s shoes were half a size too tight, but I pushed through the discomfort. I walked with purpose, head down just enough to avoid eye contact but upright enough to appear natural.Security nodded as I passed the first checkpoint.A brief flick of the fake ID, a half-smile, and a polite “Going down to diagnostics.”They didn’t question it.Because people don’t look twice at nurses.Especially not the quiet, invisible ones.I made it to the lower-level exit just as the shift was changing—chaos, movement, chatter.I slipped through the side door, stepped into the loading bay. I had done it. Bella’s POVGetting to the estate
