Chapter 4

Later in the day, Samantha was shown around her workplace. The kitchen, the store room and everything. She was also give the chef's uniform.

She was only allowed to work thrice a week. Those days are; Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Such a little day for such a huge amount of money.

Samantha was very pleased. She promised to go thank Mrs Claudia later in the day for recommending her.

"You're back, Hannah. Would you like a bowl of pasta?" Back at the apartment, Bonnie raised her head from her phone.

Sam flashed her a smile. She dropped her bag and hurriedly went to seat beside Bonnie. She held her hand.

Bonnie rolled her eyes, "Should I take this action of yours as a yes that you got the job?" She asked.

Samantha nodded a yes, smiling so much.

"I got the job, Bonnie. I got the job. Finally I won't have to lock myself indoors and worry from dusk till dawn...it's such little days for such a huge amount of money. The pay is so huge. I can pay for our apartment and we will never go hungry again".

"Maybe you would have gotten a more high pay if you had dressed so beautifully. Loom at your dress, they are so old fashioned and this old glass covered those pretty eyes of yours" Bonnie sighed, standing up to go get her a glass of water.

Hearing her words, Samantha decided to speak up. She doesn't want to be ridiculed by Bonnie all the time, "No, it's not that. It's just that I don't want to attract much attention since I am new to the job. I am exceptionally accepted to work in the President's mansion now. Maybe there are some people unhappy with me"

Bonnie raised her head and nodded in agreement, "You are right. It's natural that others see you as an obstacle since you are beautiful and outstanding. By the way, how do you feel on your first day at work with our President? Have you seen him yet?"

Sam sipped in her water first before answering Bonnie, "I have seen him. He looks more handsome in real live than in TV...but I do not dare to look at him in the eyes. His little boy is very adorable as well"

"I understand your fear but he is also human too. It's not as if he will bite you. Since you haven't make any mistake, he can't hurt you" Bonnie said, opening the cupboard to get some pasta to cook but unfortunately there was no food at home.

"Hmm not again..." Samantha snorted.

Bonnie laughed, "I got my salary today. Go get changed and let's go get some grocery"

Samantha lowered her head. She always feels she is a burden to Bonnie since she has always fed her, clothe her and even buy her toiletries. For a year, Bonnie was her everything. Sam doesn't know what and where she would be without Bonnie in her life.

"What's wrong?" Bonnie asked.

"I'm sorry. I promise to hand over my first salary to you. I promise" Sam stated innocently.

Her naiveness made Bonnie to burst into a heavy laughter. For a moment, Sam felt stupid but that is always Bonnie. She makes fun of every single thing.

"Who says you should give me your salary?" Bonnie raised her brows.

"No one. I just decided it" Sam replied.

"As per what?" Bonnie questioned further.

"For everything you have done for me. You always feed me, clothe me... you've done everything for me. I promise you, I will always be there for you as well. If fate put me in where I wish to be, I will never forget you, I promise. I will be your friend, you sister, your family forever" Samantha stated. Her words got to Bonnie real time. Bonnie couldn't help but get emotional. She pulled Sam into a hug and whispered quietly, "You don't have to give me your salary, Sam. You need money yourself. Let me buy this month grocery. You can buy next month grocery. We will keep sharing it like that "

"Hmm. You are the best friend ever" Sam smiled.

"I don't need to get changed. I am okay like this" she added.

"Alright, let's get going."

Bonnie was dressed in a denim short that revealed her thigh and a crop top. Sam was speechless. She will feel so uncomfortable revealing so much skin. But since Bonnie was comfortable in what she was wearing, she was cool with that.

They got to the grocery store and started buying everything they would be needing for the house. They bought a lot of things that filled two big carts. They proceeded to pay and everything was packed into four big bags.

Just as they stepped out, Sam heard a familiar voice call her. When she turned it was Ashley, she was with Stefan.

"Ohh I mistook you for someone else but it was really you" Ashley mocked. Seeing how old fashioned Sam was dressed, she got happy. Definitely, life has been very hard for Sam. It was exactly what she wanted.

"When did you come back, Sam? Father, mother and I miss you so much" Ashley continued to glue her body to Stefan.

Miss me very much??

Ashley was mocking her and she knows it. In the past six years, none of the George's has taken the initiative to call her. They must be very happy she wasn't part of the family anymore. In fact they wanted her to die but they are not God.

"Thank you very much, but I do not need your concern?"

"Bonnie, let's leave here" She said immediately.

Bonnie rolled her eyes at the shameless couple, Ashley and Stefan before leaving with Sam.

"Sam!" Stefan called. He withdrew his hand from Ashley and grabbed Sam's wrist.

The moment Sam was held was Stefan, her whole trembled and she almost dropped the bags in her hand.

"What is it, Stefan?" Suppressing the emotions in her heart she asked the man she loved to the moon.
