Chapter 109: The Father

Luna flushed instantly as she figured out how Kairo heard my father complaining. Her eyes flickered and she smacked her forehead in shame, while my father's forehead creased with disbelief.

Atticus gasped, he looked in my direction as if he understood why his grandmother overreacted. He plastered a grin on his lips, which made me realise he was about to tease Kairo again.

“How did you hear them? Kairo, you're lying. Every room we have here in the pack house is soundproof, which means you can't listen to their conversation. You're making stories again.” Atticus playfully rebutted.

Kairo groaned and coldly turned his attention to his twin brother before he waved the book in his hand. I could hardly breathe, concluding they were ready to fight again.
