It had been hours since I’d stopped running. But I hadn’t stopped walking yet. And I wouldn’t. I didn’t care how long it took to get back to the wolves. Because every step I took, the power got stronger, and I was growing more and more afraid of what I might do if I didn’t get some help.
I could barely feel my skin. I should have been sweating. Should have been growing more and more tired. But, instead of being burned by the sun, it seemed like I… absorbed it. And it just gave me more.
