Reconciliations

Once Arabella turned her back on the both of them, Klaus watched her disappear from their sight, before he closed his eyes and sighed with relief. As his father turned to look at him, Klaus feigned a cough and cleared his throat right after.

He was lucky his father had not tried to initiate a conversation, there was no telling the gravity of danger Arabella would have been in.

“Son…”

“Alright, father. Let’s go up to my office.” The “where you would stay until I am ready to usher you out myself to avoid what just happened.” was inaudible, but Klaus knew that his father had heard it.

He started to walk ahead of his father and he ushered him into his home office. Klaus made sure to lock the door behind his father. He did not trust the man one bit.

His father flashed him a coy smile as he settled into the seat in front of him. He leaned into the chair and crossed his right leg over his left, he stroked his bearded chin slowly, and his eyes followed Klaus wherever he went.
