Business Visits

Klaus Lavon never took the side of his right eye off Arabella, not for a second. While his second pair of orbs settled on the road ahead of them, he made sure he paid attention to her every expression, down to the twinkle of excitement in her eyes.

He loved to see her like that; free, happy, and at ease.

It was all he had ever wanted for her, it was all he would continue to want for her. It also pleased him that he was the reason for her smile. Klaus Lavon swore he would spill blood to keep the smile on her face, and it did not matter whose blood it was.

After the usual forty-five minutes drive to his warehouse, Klaus stopped the car in the parking lot and opened the doors.

Arabella’s eyes widened as she drank in the sight of the building that spread out to several acres of land. The warehouse was shaped like a Pentagon, with doors at every end.

The doors were guarded by a minimum of two heavily armed guards, who looked just like the guards at home. The ground around the warehouse
