140~ Diego's Sudden Growth

SKYLAR'S P.O.V

I was so deep asleep that I couldn't tell what was happening around my environment. And for the first time in a few days, I was able to sleep without having those weird dreams or nightmares. Just then, the same voice that kept sounding since the previous night echoed in my ears.

"There's something wrong with your child," the voice whispered urgently.

Startled, I sat up in bed, my heart pounding in my chest. I glanced over at the crib where Diego laid, sleeping soundly. Panic surged through my veins as I scrambled out of bed, my movements were frantic as I rushed to check on him.

I let out a heavy sigh when I saw there was nothing wrong with him. He was fast asleep, just the same way I had left him. Frustration welled up inside me, mixing with the remnants of sleepiness that was still in my eyes. I ran a hand through my tousled hair, desperately searching for any signs of distress in my child.
