AS THE moon rose in the sky, casting its ethereal glow through my open window, I could feel my anticipation building. Tonight was the night Denver would finally guide me through the transformative process into a wolf. It was an important moment to me, and my heart raced with a mixture of excitement and nervousness.

I remembered the last time I shifted, it wasn't a good one. I had transformed with the help of my father. That night, he was pissed off that I couldn't shift on my own, not even my eyes could turn without anyone forcing it out on me. So, he had to lock me under the full moon.
