123~ Skylar Returns Home

DENVER'S P.O.V

I forced myself not to sleep, and even when I eventually did, I couldn't sleep for long. My eyes have been opened since the previous night, trying to watch over both Skylar and the child.

He's been asleep, and that's all thanks to the nurses. I was already wondering how I was going to go with making a baby sleep. Right now, all I could hope for is that he doesn't wake up to cause a noise.

That was another part I was certain I couldn't do. Making a baby stop crying? That was more like making the Devil stop being evil.

When morning fully came, I stood by the window, staring down at the street. The sound of Skylar's groan drew my attention, causing me to look in her direction.

“Hey, you're awake.” I said, leaving the window to her side. “Good morning.”

She was still trying to get over with the sleep in her eyes. "You stayed. You didn't leave."

"I'll never leave your side, not now. Not ever."
