Daisy POV
"That's a joke," He added, and they all roared in laughter because, currently, I was looking like I had just seen a ghost.
"Her expression is priceless," someone said.
"I can pay a million dollars just to see that expression," Another said.
"As a requirement for the celebration of the carnival, she is the best pupil from the whitewater pack and she will be given the privilege to study in KJ college," He said. "Come forward and collect your student's badge and other property."
"Privilege? Tsk," I scoffed as everybody around gasped. The president was visibly boiling in anger. Even the driver was looking in surprise. He must be surprised to see how bold I am.
"I will die anyway in this school, why don't I quicken things up now?" I added.
"Then you will," The werewolf president said, as powers were emanating around him in anger. The energy was reaching where I am. Why am I able to sense his power, is the band weakening or something. (Special ability: Sensory Ability possessed by my bloodline).
"Any last word?" He asked, anger visible.
"My last word is scrap this rubbish you call scholarship up," I said.
"You will be dead in a second," He added, as his claws elongated as I braced myself for death.
"Bring your hand down, president," A cold voice suddenly said as he walked up to hold the president's hand and bring it down. Everything died down, including the reinforced energy. I looked carefully at him, and he was just about my age, and I hate to admit, he is very handsome, which left me lost for a moment. But how could he manage to control the president with that tone?
"She is just naive," He added. "Leave her; let me teach her a lesson she will never forget."
"I will leave her to you, Drake. I trust you enough to deal with her," He replied.
"Collect everything that belongs to her and bring her to me," He ordered someone.
"Yes, sir," she replied as she carried out the instructions immediately.
"Let's go back to the merriment. We will leave the decision to Drake to make," The werewolf president said.
The maid walked over to me and dragged me roughly out of the environment. But then once we were out of the environment, she eased her hold on me. What does that mean?
"I understood what you're thinking," The middle-aged woman said. "But I won't be naive enough to pity you there." "Now, just wait here. We haven't received orders on what to do with you..."
I looked at her hand and saw the band. Does that mean that only slaves are maids here?
"Hello?"
"Yes, sir."
"Okay, sir."
That's what I heard as she suddenly received a call and ended it.
"We are to take you to the place where you'll be staying near the college... that's the order I received," She continued.
"Then what about the punishment he has for me?" I thought aloud, as I wasn't understanding him.
"When Sir Drake said that he has a punishment for someone, regardless of who you are to him, he still has it... He may be busy currently," She continued. "Follow me."
"Is that supposed to scare me? I thought in my mind and scoffed, moving with her.
"The thing that almost made you lose your life," She said.
"Like I care. Like I wasn't still going to lose it," I replied as we got into the expensive car. This will be the second expensive car I've entered for the first time in my life. Have I even entered a car before? The answer is no.
This car looks even more expensive.
The car moved through the breeze as we headed to the final stop, and I was lost in my thoughts, thinking about how short my life will be here. "We're here," Those words snapped me out of my thoughts as the car came to a halt.
Fast Forward
I landed on the bed as I reminisced about what happened today. Like seriously, he just literally stopped the president with a rude word: "Bring down your hand, president." I mocked in his voice and laughed to my heart's content... I don't know what punishment he has for me, but this is surely what I'll use to mock him if we ever get close, I thought smiling.
But seriously speaking, and look at that – he brought his hand down and his bloodthirsty desire for me died down immediately; even all the killer energy went on leave. This is serious – not to mention that there is no one who can defeat the president; he is the strongest Alpha ever existing, who has been ruling for 50 years since he was a youth with most of his pack members taking important positions in office. But then a young boy who is just growing into a youth cooled him down. There is something more to this.
This place I'm living in is not bad but comfortable – it's a self-contained apartment with a kitchen and bathroom inside. Unlike my house back in the wasteland, it can't compare to this even if it seems better with happiness.
I need to sleep early because school begins tomorrow – being Monday. How I wish I had faced my death already because now I don't know when death will come for me. Tomorrow is obviously the beginning of my nightmare...
"Yes, tomorrow is the beginning of your nightmare..." I heard a cold voice and was shocked as I quickly checked around.
"You don't need to look for me; because I'm not near," He said. "And thanks for the compliment – so much I get for saving your ugly face." Now that sounds offensive.
"You have a voice tracker on me?" I said. "Don't you?"
"Maybe."
"Anyway, like one of my slaves said: 'I have a punishment for you' because you dared to talk back at the president." He replied. "And you will be getting an update tomorrow."
"Show some manners; they're your servants..."
"It should be only me you're telling this; and this should be the last time because you're all nothing but slaves," He replied with his voice as cold and piercing as ever.
"Now, I don't want to hear you talk until I ask you to; unless I'll do the killing myself." He said that in the coldest and ruthless voice ever...
"I told the president that I'll deal with you myself; just prepare yourself – your punishment is forthcoming tomorrow." "Check your dress for the gadget; destroy it now – I'm done talking to you."
He finally concluded and I did just that.
I rolled over onto my bed as I reminisced about what happened today... There is so much for me to handle tomorrow – I haven't even begun school yet but already have a punishment to face…
The next day, I arrived at the school. As I entered through the gate, the gateman shot me a perplexed look."Pay attention, old man. Someone wants to enter." I declared moving forward.I surveyed the school grounds, which were the largest and most beautiful I had ever seen. The buildings were of various designs and vibrant colors. According to the letter I received, I was supposed to meet someone here today, but I had no idea where to find her.Hesitating, I called out to someone passing by. "Hello! Please, I need to meet Mrs. Spiff in the admissions office.""Where are your manners, slave?" was her reply. "Thank your stars. I'm in a hurry today; otherwise, I would have hosted your funeral." She hurried away before I could respond. It seems everyone already knows about my identity, well what did I expect? Determined, I looked for the designated building, catching sight of it from a distance. It stood proudly, painted in royal blue and pure white, with "Admissions Building" inscribed i

(Yes, she was right about that, if you were wondering about that, but how she knew was still a mystery to me.) "Don't be surprised how I know… The president said so himself after your engagement with him. How he was able to know, I don't know myself," she added."I am even wondering why she was so quiet today when she could talked back to the president yesterday," someone said."What did you expect? She almost lost her life to it yesterday…" Speaking of that…"Enough of this!" Mrs. Andrew yelled. "I will be forced to report you all to the higher-ups if you continue this. Remember, this is your future we are nurturing," she added finally. Sarah chuckled. "Okay, you win… continue the lecture and you, get out of here." I started walking o

I wouldn't be surprised if he knew our forefathers’ names. I am just 75 years old and have been ruling this land for 50 years. "What's your purpose for showing up after all these years, Roger?" I asked."You must have read history about me to know my name… oh, I even heard that Spencer is still alive," he said, looking at me."I don't like repeating myself. What do you want?" I pressed."Show some manners, kid. Don't your elders teach you not to interrupt when someone older is speaking?" he asked and I scoffed."Simple…" He suddenly said, "What I want is simple… I simply want you to unbrand the Whitewater pack as slaves." His words ignited my anger."That can never happen—not
Daisy's POVTwo Days LaterAs I approached the school gates today, I felt a wave of anxiety wash over me. My heart raced like a runaway train, each beat echoing my trepidation. Trust me, I would have preferred to stay at home. An idea suddenly flickered in my mind, staying home might be the best way to avoid being killed, but then again, I wouldn’t graduate. "So it’s a choice between graduating dead or not graduating alive," I mused to myself. There were no two ways about it.Today, I dressed like a boy, wearing baggy clothes and a cap pulled low over my eyes, anything to avoid attention. As I walked to the front of the lecture hall, I hesitated. The thought of stepping inside made me queasy. Just then, a lecturer approached where I stood."Come in," he beckoned, noticing my hesitation. I stood frozen, but his smile was reassuring.
