[Third person POV]

“What are you two talking about?” Jordan asks. Though he only heard fragments of the conversation he still felt like the two were up to no good.

“Oh…nothing, love, just another fight between Dean and Jason,” she said, but Jordan’s face didn’t change he didn’t react with anger like he usually does when he hears about the two boys fighting.

“Jason, I told you not to provoke Dean anymore,” he scolded, “he is going to be your king and you should learn to respect him.”

Penelope was fuming red with this statement; she hated how Jordan seem to not be willing to even consider Jason as a candidate for the throne.

“You tell me that every time father,” Jason says with a low tone, “it is always Dean’s throne, right?”

“I think I told your mother a long time ago, that the heir was already fixed with Dean,” Jordan says, “it is never about playing favorites like your mother seem to play favoring you over the son she promised a dying woman to protect.”

She drops her head and starts crying, “I am sorry I thought you were lonely, so I came to keep you company.” Avisa burst out laughing at her explanation, “oh… giving poor Dean a sexy night, he has been a virgin for 25 years Anne, you think he will pleasure you well?” Avisa continues to laugh until she feels Dean’s angry body on top of her. “What do you mean? Have you let someone inside you?” Dean asked with a growl, Avisa

[Ophelia POV] We travelled back to the Stoker mansion after we were sure everyone was rescued. Avisa seemed to have found some sense of comfort in this new environment, something I appreciated, she was not really the one to get comfortable around new people like that. “Are you okay?” Avisa asks again, I smile at her, “I am fine Visa, stop worrying.” “Okay, you will talk about it when you are ready,” she says, seem the same ways I can sense when she is lying, she can sense when I am lying as well. I couldn’t be around Arnoux anymore because I was starting to feel the mate bond between us, but he didn’t care really. He was just acting like all is okay, socializing with everyone, ‘he is not obligated to like you because of the stupid bond Lia, stop bugging.’ I scold myself. “So, you will sleep here for the night okay,” Dean starts discussing our stays tonight, for some reason Avisa is more focused than me. Avisa and Dean moved away to get toiletries for us to use tonight. “Are yo

[Third person POV] For Carrie Walker, who was the best she-wolf in the world, it was quite annoying having people burst into her bedroom like that. But what made her angrier was how they disrespected her alpha and how he was letting them. “Who the hell are you? Do you disrespect the alpha and Luna of the Crescent pack that much,” she shouts angrily. At that a green haired girl walks to her, “I am so sorry for the disrespect, Avisa can be a bit impulsive.” She couldn’t help but feel fulfilled, at least one of the barbarians that barged in knew their place, she folded her arms smugly. “Hmph… well tell that filthy woman to kneel,” she says smugly, the green haired girl with was so shocked her equally green eyes almost popped out. “Pardon?” “I say tell that filthy girl to kneel,” Carrie commanded pointing at the Avisa girl who had yet to let go of her alpha. “I am afraid I cannot.” The response made her angry, she just apologized because she knew her place now, she is refusing or

Due to writer's block, Siren's blood will be on break for the whole of April 2023, it will come back next week better. I have been going through some lack of creativity in the story, given it my first fantasy story and I need a lot of work to tackle the genre in my own way. I have a clear vision on how I want to steer the story, I just don't know how to execute the ideas yet, I will be learning more about the genre and the mythical creatures I plan to introduce in the future. Thank you for the support thus far, in the meantime you can check out My scam marriage, my other story if romance is your thing. 🦋🦋🦋🦋

[Avisa POV] It has been a good night, well it would have been great if I got to cut that fool’s throat, how dare he humiliate my Lia. “Can you stop buzzing?” Big Dean grumbles, “some of us have to sleep.” “You can go sleep in the other room if you want,” I say sarcastically, well I had a chance to choose between sleeping in the guest room with Lia or sharing a room with Dean and guess what I chose. “This is my room, why should I be the one that move?” “Well because you are the one who doesn’t like my sleeping habits,” I say, annoying Dean until he let me have this big bed of his, that was my plan, but it has been failing. He was supposed to hate my guts but for some reason this fool is okay sharing a bed with me. “You are the most unreasonable woman I have ever met,” his tired eyes made me feel a bit guilty, “I am going to sleep don’t bother me.” ‘Ugh… guess I will have to settle with sharing the bed.’ I tell myself, wow me being reasonable to someone other than Ophelia, ‘goo

[Dean POV] I know father was going to be asking many questions about this. “She is a friend, she slept over because had nowhere else to go.” My father glared at me angrily, “wow, so Jason is busy looking for a mate and you are busy sleeping around?” “Father I am not sleeping around; she just spent a night…...” "In your bed? Wow, your mother was right you might not be fit for the throne," he angrily scolded me, Avisa was clearly not happy about this, I had crossed my fingers that she doesn’t do anything stupid. “Yes, he shared a bed with me, and he was in his best behavior,” she says rolling her eyes, “and last time I checked his mother died.” Her last statement was uncalled for, she need not say that to my father as he really valued his current wife and would take any crap regarding her. “Little girl does not intervene this is family business,” he growled, “you are just some snacks he is going to bleed dry.” I felt my fist ball with anger, how dare he speak to her like that. [Third person POV] Jordan felt shiver down his spine as he exits his son’s room, bloodlust; he wanted to kill him, he wanted to kill his own son, the very vampire that took his wife. Many thought that his new wife would capture his heart, but she didn’t, instead he believed her because he believed his own son was evil. He believed Dean Stoker didn’t deserve the life he has now, for his lovely wife had to die for him to be alive, “your majesty, are you okay?” Dylan asks, Jordan looks at Dylan, tears couldn’t stop, “I hate my son Dylan, I hate Dean,” he says with a sad voice. “Your majesty,” Dylan shows sympathy. “It is not even his fault, his mother chose his life over hers, but it still hurt,” Jordan in between gasps, “I don’ want to hate him, he is my son, I should love him.” “Your majesty, you don’t need to beat yourself up, you can improve your relationship with him,” Dylan says, “I am happy you are able to admit that you are wrong.” “It is too late, he found his mate and t

[Avisa’s POV]Shock. I cannot make out what Dean was thinking, but I could feel the anger he felt. This stupid mate bond, I had felt the hate he felt when Anne hugged him, his anxiety when I left the room.He always acted like he had no emotions, but this man had so many emotions.Emotions I myself was having trouble handling.“What did you say?” he growled, “what did Penelope do to my mother?”Anne was filled with shock, “I…. I…… I was just trying to get a rise out of her.”“Don’t lie to me Anne, what did the queen do to my mother?” This mates sharing emotions thing doesn’t sit well with me.“I…... I…...”I rolled my eyes at her sorry state, she must be lying to make me angry, but still, she could be telling the truth.“What happened to the previous queen?” I whispered my compelling words, one of the best features of being a siren.Vampires couldn’t compel other vampires and mates could compel mates, but sirens could compel anyone with their voices. She started blabbing about how the

What is that evil witch thinking?“Okay Aloe, breathe have some water,” Avisa is busy calming the elf girl down.Wars are not foreign to shapeshifters; we have had our fair share of wars. But it was said that wars were banned after the end of the blood war, the Goddess had restored peace to all shapeshifters.Every shapeshifter has been given their own place where they need not cross over to the other territory, thus preventing wars.“What do you mean they want to start a war? There is no species that has angered vampires since every shapeshifter is in their designated area.”“Don’t yell at her,” my sweet mate growls. I am never going to get used to her being this casual with me.But was this casual? I still did kill her mother and she hasn’t even asked me about it.How? Everyone knew her mother was the most powerful being in all the oceans. Why? She doesn’t think I am a cold-blooded killer, does she?“Well, the queen said they want power, and to get pow

I know my father hates this union so much he would kill my mate here. And I am supposed to hate him, I do hate him, I hate this man.“Are you okay,” Dean’s voice rings, his grey eyes shining with nothing but sincerity.“You killed my mother, and now I am stuck with you for life. How do you think I feel?”“I asked you Avisa!” he yells, “ I asked you if you were serious about us bonding and you said yes.”His voice now gentle and delicate, “I…… what did you want me to do, Dean? You are my mate.”He looks at me both angry and confused, “the same thing we agreed to do.”“Wow, so you wanted to reject me so you can go mate with that Anne chick?”The way I pounced on him probably confirmed what my father has always talked about.Greed, I was a greedy woman, “you are mine Dean Stoker, you hear me,” I growled at

[Third person POV]The waves roared and the seas cried. It was unheard of. In all their lives, this was an abomination.“What? Surely, she is no longer fit to be heir.”Elder sirens complained when the news that the princess had found her mate, may rejoiced. The man or woman was supposed to keep her grounded, keep her from her rebellious ways. But it seems the kingdom was doomed from the moment she was born.“Aran is still going to be king; he is strong and very mature.”“You think the king will allow that? That man who can’t see his daughter is nothing but a bad pimple to this kingdom.”“She should stay with the vampires; she clearly fits the criteria.”But if the princess is not to take the throne, who will? Many didn’t trust Aran was strong enough after the humiliation he suffered recently. They had never had a weak ruler, even the previous empresses were strong, and the current king, who was the first

Why? What is the Goddess thinking?” all the elderly mythical shapeshifters of the enchanted forest grumble.“What is going on? Why did the dead tree glow?” the fairy princess asks.“It is to prepare for blood shed,” one of the elders said, “it also prepares for the death of a kingdom.”The princess is both bewildered and terrified, though shapeshifters in the enchanted forest are more mythical creatures than they are shapeshifters, and they rarely go to wars and their kingdom is never challenged. It was worrisome, because though it was brief, she befriended Avisa, who went on to rescue h

[Third person POV] Dylan rushes to the king’s office, today seems to be gearing up to be a bit more chaotic than usual. “Your Majesty, a word,” Dylan says. “We are busy here mage, you will have a word with him later,” Kyrtos interjected. “But your majesties, this concerns both of your kingdoms,” Dylan says. “What is it, Dylan?” “Well, the prince and princess have mated,” the sudden silence that hits, it is clearly the calm before a storm. Kyrtos could feel his blood boil, this is not how he thought this would go. He knew his daughter was one to hold grudges, she would have killed Dean the moment he gotten close to her. “How?” he asks in disbelief, “how is that possible, they were busy fighting just now.” “I am not sure how myself because they had told me they would reject each other during the blood moon,” Dylan says, he is trying to act shocked. • Siren's blood   Chapter 31 – Bonds and traitors.

[Third person POV]A mate is one of the most important things in the shapeshifter world, those who never met their mates go on to wander the world with lost souls as their mates are supposed to complete them. Those who meet their mates are lucky, especially if they are of a different race, because after the blood war, many shapeshifters went into hiding refusing to meet their mates and wandering lost in the world. When two mates meet, and agree on mating, the two would mark each other before being intimate.“Avisa!” Dean moaned, trying his best to restrain himself. This is not what she wants, he knows very well this isn’t what she wants, he cannot bond with her, it would be unfair to do so.But Avisa’s manner of testing his self-control and patience seemed to be working overtime this instant. The way she moaned his name like it was the only thing she knew, “you don’t want this,” he whispers to

  • Siren's blood   Chapter 30 – “Fight back!”

[Dean’s POV] Fate sure was funny, the way her voiced cracked as she asks me, the way her prideful face falls in sadness when I confirm I had indeed killed her mother. I now understand why she hated it when I spoke of the queen, I didn’t even protect myself when she attacked me. “Fight back!” she screams, her beautiful eyes filled with tears, her whole body had adorned in beautiful blues scales, scales I used to hate when they were attached to me. Her sharp fingernails cutting into my flesh effortlessly, but it didn’t hurt, it didn’t hurt because I had already experienced the most hurtful thing when I found out my soulmate was deprived of a wonderful mother because of me. “Fight back! You are the all-powerful vampire prince, fight back,” she screams, everyone had stopped to look, no one wanted to intervene, rightfully so this is between me and my mate. “I don’t have the right to,” I calmly say making her angrier, releasing and even a greater wrath unto my skin, she had continued
