“I spent a lot of effort making it, Brother," Josephine said with a wounded expression.

Jay was unmoved. He scooped the soup and fed it to Angeline.

Angeline was surprised. "I want to try the food Josephine made, Jaybie."

Josephine darted Jay a smug look, but Jay declined in a tactful way. "Angeline, their food is uncooked and their vegetables were fried with dishwashing liquid. It’s not edible.”
