FIFTY ONE

THIRD PERSON’S POV

Alexa’s eyes sprang open and the recollect of last night came flooding back, and for reason she felt enveloped by shame and indignity; she had literally begged him last night. She pushed herself to a sitting position wanting to leave at once but found that she wasn’t alone in bed today. And for a moment she just sat there staring down at Calan who seemed to be fast asleep, and though she could stay there forever and just watch him she wanted to leave before he woke up and found her here, she wasn’t sure she was ready to face him just yet.

But just as she began climbing out of bed she felt him hold her hand and she almost had a heart attack, she turned around quickly to face him once more but his eyes remained closed.

“Don’t leave”. He said to her. His voice was deep from having just woken up.
