Chapter 67

***MICHELLE'S POV***

Fear grips my throat as I look around the room I have been kept in. I don't know how long I've been holed up here but this is not good. I shouldn't even have run away, but my conscience wouldn't let me stay there, knowing I hurt Summer so badly.

She could even die.

"No, no! She wouldn't," I let out, crying gently, letting all my tears run down my cheeks.

The house is a two-storey building and the surroundings are just grass and neighbors. I wonder if someone could hear me out.

This is one of those times I hate being a Sorvink because I get targeted. I've been threatened once and Dad put bodyguards on me. I don't know how long I kept resenting it until I couldn't do so anymore.

Now, I've been kidnapped. With tears running down my eyes, I walk over to the window and try opening it.

Of course, it has to be locked. No sensible kidnapper will leave the door open for their price to run away.
