Chapter 191: "Uncertainty"

I feel a tight pain in my chest. Xav and Ian are watching the news while Cara shows some concern. She tries to look like there is nothing to worry, but I can't dismiss the fact that there is a tight pain in my chest.

"Sis, look!" Ian calls my attention. "Mom is there, she is fine, see?" He points at the TV.

I nod. Watching mom between other people over there makes me feel scared, but relieved that they are ok. "Is Carl at the Command Center?" Xav asks Cara.

"He is there with Agape and Gideon. They are restructuring the defenses," She answers.

"I am going to go there and keep an eye on things. I can't stay here doing nothing," Xav says and stands up, I look at him worriedly. He comes to me and kneels in front of me, taking my hands in his. "Everything is going to be ok Sol, no one tried to attack any of the races directly in their territory…"
