Asher pov
As we ventured deeper into the warehouse, Sophia's scent grew stronger with every step. We approached a corner of the warehouse, and suddenly, a loud, multiple laughter echoed through the air. The three of us stared at each other in shock.
"Are you hearing that too?" Loid whispered, his voice trembling.
"Put your voice down," I whispered back, my tone low and angry. "I am hearing it too."
Loid started to protest, "Don't tell me to put my voice down, we are all entering into a very dangerous place which we don't have a plan and—"
But I quickly interrupted him, holding my hand over his mouth as we heard approaching footsteps.
We slipped into a dark shadow, watching as two men, whom we sensed were werewolves, walked by. One of them turned in our direction, standing still as he tried to sense us.
"What's wrong?" his companion asked, tapping him on the arm.
"Oh, nothing," he replied. "I thought I sensed something."
As they turned to leave, we emerged from the shadows, breathing a sigh of relief.
"When I say shut up, you do just that," I said, staring at Loid.
"Let's just go and find your luna," Johnson said, leading the way to the noisy area.
We reached the noisy corner and hid behind an abandoned tractor, peeking out to see what was going on. To our greatest surprise, Sophia was dancing in the midst of a group of dangerous werewolves, completely drunk.
My eyes widened in shock and horror as I took in the scene before me. Sophia, my luna, was dancing in the midst of a group of rough-looking werewolves, a bottle of liquor clutched in her hand. She was clearly drunk, stumbling and staggering to the music.
"What in the world...?" Loid said, trailed off, his eyes fixed on Sophia in disgust.
Johnson's face was grim. "We need to get her out of here, now." He said.
I nodded, my mind racing with a plan. We couldn't just barge in there and risk a fight. We needed to be strategic.
But before I could come up with a plan, Sophia stumbled and fell, laughing hysterically. The werewolves around her cheered and clapped, and one of them, a burly man with a cruel grin, reached down to help her up.
My instincts flared, and I growled low in my throat. That was it. We were getting her out of there, now.
I took a step forward, my eyes fixed on Sophia and the werewolf who was helping her up. Johnson and Loid followed close behind, their faces set with determination.
As we approached, the werewolves turned to face us, their eyes narrowing in hostility. The burly man who had helped Sophia up took a step forward, his fists clenched.
"Well, well, well," he sneered. "Look what we've got here. The alpha himself coming to save his dear luna, and his bodyguards or friends."
I growled, my teeth bared. "Let her go," I snarled.
The werewolf just laughed. "Oh, I don't think so," he said. "She's having too much fun. And besides, she's not going anywhere until she pays her tab."
I took another step forward, my eyes blazing with anger. "You're not going to hurt her," I said. "Not while I'm here."
The werewolf sneered again, but I could see a flicker of uncertainty in his eyes. He knew that I was the alpha, and that I wouldn't back down.
Suddenly, Sophia stumbled forward, her eyes unfocused. "A- asher?" she slurred.
I rushed forward, catching her by the arm and holding her upright. "I'm here, Sophia," I said. "Let's get you out of here."
But as I turned to leave, the burly werewolf stepped forward, his eyes flashing with anger. "You're not going anywhere," he snarled.
I stood my ground, my eyes locked on the werewolf. "I'm not looking for a fight," I said, my voice low and even. "But I will do whatever it takes to protect my luna."
The werewolf sneered again, but I could see the uncertainty in his eyes.
Johnson and Loid moved forward, positioning themselves on either side of me. "We're not going to let you hurt her," Johnson said, his voice firm.
The werewolf's eyes flicked to Johnson and Loid, and for a moment, I thought he was going to back down. But then his face hardened, and he took a step forward.
"You think you can take on all of us?" he sneered. "We outnumber you three to one."
I smiled, a cold, calculated smile. "I'm not just any ordinary werewolf," I said. "I'm the alpha. And I will do whatever it takes to protect my luna and my pack."
The werewolf's eyes narrowed, and for a moment, I thought he was going to attack. But then he seemed to think better of it, and he took a step back.
"Fine," he said. "You can take your luna and leave. But this isn't over."
I nodded, my eyes never leaving the werewolf. "I'm counting on it," I said.
With that, I turned and led Sophia out of the warehouse, Johnson and Loid following close behind. We didn't stop until we were back in the safety of our pack's territory.
As soon as we were safe, I turned to Sophia and shook my head. "What were you thinking, Sophia?" I asked. "You could have been killed."
Sophia looked up at me, her eyes unfocused. "I'm sorry, asher," she slurred. "I just wanted to have some fun and again you and your mother provoked me and I wanted to clear my head."
I sighed, feeling a mix of relief and frustration. "We'll talk about this later," I said. "Right now, let's just get you home and safe."
I helped Sophia into the car, and Johnson and Loid followed, their faces still tense with concern.
As we drove back to the pack house, Sophia leaned against the window, her eyes closed. I could smell the alcohol on her breath, and I knew she was going to have a rough morning.
When we arrived at the pack house, I helped Sophia out of the car and into her room. I sat her down on the bed and pulled off her shoes.
"Sophia, you need to be more careful," I said, looking at her sternly. "You can't just go out and get drunk with a bunch of strangers. You're a luna of this pack, and you need to start acting like it."
Sophia looked up at me, her eyes bleary. "I have already said I'm sorry, asher," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "I just needed to get out and have some fun. I didn't mean to worry you or anybody and after all you didn'tcare about me in the first place."
I sighed, feeling a loud of guilt. I knew Sophia was still hurting from our argument with my mothet, and I shouldn't be so hard on her, not even now that she was drunk, she would say things that would only make things worse.
"Just get some rest, okay?" I said, standing up. "We'll talk about this more in the morning."
Sophia nodded, and I could see the exhaustion taking over. I turned out the light and left the room, feeling a mix of concern and frustration.
As I walked to another room, I couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. Sophia's behavior was getting more and more erratic, and I didn't know how to help her.
I lay down on the bed, staring at the ceiling. I knew I had to do something to help Sophia, but I didn't know where to start, and soon i wouldn't be able to take it anymore and ask for a divorce...
Asher povIt was the break of day, and I had rested well, thanks to being the first night I didn't share a bed with Sophia. I rushed out of the house to avoid any drama with her.As I drove, my phone rang. I checked the screen and saw that it was my personal assistant. "Hello?" I answered, picking up the call with one hand while steering with the other."Am on my way to the office, what's the problem?" I asked."Sorry, sir, for disturbing you on such short notice," she replied, her voice low and professional.I waved my hand dismissively. "Never mind, I'm listening.""You have an important conference meeting with some high-profile business owners," she said, the sound of her typing on her laptop keyboard audible in the background. "I've already booked a flight for you in an hour."I slammed on the brakes, finding a place to park. "An hour? What? Why didn't you inform me?" I exclaimed."I'm sorry, sir," she apologized. "It was a last-minute arrangement, but from my research, these peop
Asher povI walked into the big hall, but behold I saw something that shock me, i was Aurora As I watched her approach me with so much confidence, all I could do was just stand there like an ice-cold structure, not even a reply from me as I heard my name. What I could keep doing was to stand there as I wallow in my imagination. In a matter of seconds, so many thoughts came to my head, and different types of flashbacks of us together. As I kept on lost in different thoughts, I felt a touch that brought me back to reality, a cold, soft, and gentle palm that I haven't felt in a very long time. And behold, she stood in front of me with her good loving blonde hair, her cute-looking blue eyebows match with her eyebrows, and her gorgeous dress with her high heels, and with all that, I began to wonder what a transformation she has really made for herself, because this is not the Aurora I knew years ago, she has had so much confidence in her. she waved with constant repetition. "Like, is th

I stood there for some minutes, then gained some courage to go talk to her."At least, what is the worst that might happen? And again, I just want to apologize about what happened earlier with Sophia. Even if the two of them are feeling so proud to apologize to each other, it's the best I could do after all, because of me, they both quarreled earlier," as I said to myself. As I walked towards her, I could still sense some kind of fear in me."Good day, Aurora," I greeted with a deep breath. she nooded as she looked so confused and kind of angry."No! Asher pov I stood there with a pen, waiting for her to write. She could not talk, since she was mute, but her notepad served as her way to communicate. But it stayed shut, and her pen was tight in her grip."Come on, write something," I said, looking at the notepad. "Tell me if you agree."Yet she just stood still, not moving, as the wind softly rustled the leaves."Alright, I'll wait," I said, reaching for her hands, which she pulled away.Taking a deep breath, she turned and walked off, her head lowered. I was left with many thoughts racing in my mind. After she had walked some way, she glanced back at me, her face showing irritation. The event started, and a speaker went up to the front. "Good evening, everyone. Asher povMy eyes widened in astonishment as I beheld Sophia standing in front of me."Have you been drinking?" she asked when she noticed the broken bottles on the floor."What do you want?" I snarled.Sophia's words were not true. "I'm not going to sit around and let everything we've ever struggled for slip away," she warned, pushing me into the room. She strode over to me, eyes burning with purpose; I retreated from her, backward in the direction of the bed.I could feel the intensity in her eyes as she walked up to me. She was out to have it with me over something, and from the look in her eyes, it was not going to be pretty. "Sophia, what is wrong?" I tried to stall. But she would have none of that. "Don't play dumb with me, asher," she said in a low, even tone. "I know all about your little infatuation with Aurora."Saying that, my guiltiness surged into my feelings, but I did the best to hold myself poised. "I have no idea what you are talking about," I lied, trying to sound a
Asher povMorning light crept inside the room, the passion of the previous night still fresh. I woke with a pounding headache-the remnants of the hangover still there. Lying beside me was Sophia, and a sly smile grew on her lips."Good morning, my alpha," she whispered, very low and seductive.I rubbed my temples, trying to ease the pain. "What was last night all about?" I asked, my voice filled with confusion and curiosity.Sophia took a deep breath before responding. "I'm the luna, and I know what my alpha needs at any given time."I raised an eyebrow, incredulous. "Sophia, I know that, but your behavior last night was unlike you. You didn't use protection or your pregnancy prevention pills. What's your game in all of this?"Sophia's smile never wavered. "Don't start this morning, asher. I know you enjoyed the passion, and I did too. Let's not spoil the moment. And if you're not satisfied, we have plenty of time this morning."I caught her hand, which was reaching to touch my chest.
Asher povI stood there, dumbfounded, my eyes scanning in every direction for the minutest trace of the mysterious figure; he had vanished into nowhere.I shook my head, trying to put together what was happening. I knew I needed to confront her, but some part of me just wouldn't take action.Maybe it was just some kind of setup. Maybe Sophia was totally innocent, and this phantom figure wanted me to think otherwise?Shrugging off my doubts, I went up to my hotel room with my mind swimming in questions and doubts. Asher pov As the tension was beginning to get intense I waited patiently for Sophia's response, in order to know the next step of what to do. I watched the clock as minutes turned into hours, with every tick of the clock giving me a heartbeat, my curiosity increasing. Finally, the maid came back, and as my curiosity couldn't allow me to stand and watch her come to me, I walked up to her."Any news?" I asked, my eyes widened in curiosity."Yes, my alpha," the maid said, bowing her head. "She accepted without hesitation.""Without hesitation?" I asked, standing there in shock. "That means she didn't even argue?"The maid just nodded, still with her head down."Wow, this is new," I said. "Thank you, you can go."I nodded for her to take her leave. I watched her take leave, with my mind occupied with worries. Could Sophia be telling the truth? Could she be truly pregnant?I didn't go and meet her all through the night, as I slept in another quarters. It was the break of dawn, and I was a
Asher pov Just when I was deep in thought, my phone rang. Upon looking at my phone screen, it was my mother. "What does she want?" I murmured in frustration."Hello," her voice was heavy on the other side of the phone, as I picked up the call."Yes, Mother. I am with you," I said, followed by a deep breath."What is this I'm hearing, Sophia again?" she asked, sounding worried and curious. "One of the elders just called, and with what he was telling me, he said Sophia is pregnant. How is it possible?""I understand you, Mother," I said, shaking my head in disappointment. "Even I am also confused about it.""What is it you are confused about?" she asked, sounding angry. "Isn't she your luna? You suppose to know all about this.""Mother, Sophia is very difficult to understand," I said, scratching my head in confusion. "And more so if she needs something, she will do whatever it takes to get it.""Son, we spoke when I came to your office," she said, her voice low this time. "Where you to

We shall take you to her."I followed the elders, my heart beating, ready for anything yet knowing full well that I had to face Sophia and bring the truth to the fore.Tension wells up inside of me as I approach Sophia's quarters, the anger boiling over, the confusion, but above all, the hurt which was how could Sophia do this to me? How can she lie to me and manipulate the elders?By this time, we were at Sophia's quarters. I pushed the door open and stepped in. She lay on the bed; white, almost weakened. But then I knew how great an actor she was; one way or another, anyone would yield for her. "Sophia," I rasped, sounding low and forbidding. "We gotta talk."She looked up at me, a weak smile on her face. "Asher," she whispered. "I'm so glad you're here. I have been feeling so unwell."I snarled; all my anger boiled then. "Don't play games with me, Sophia," I spat. "I know about your little scheme, the way you
