Gabbie's POVThe morning light from my window was my constant alarm clock but not this morning. I felt something sore and heavy below my blanket and that's when I was brought back to reality. In just a second after that, all the happenings last night, one after one, run through my mind. Every detail was very lucid and every feeling remains on me being the pain as the most haunting.I moved my head to see the empty space on the other side of my bed as well as the noiseless and neat surroundings of my room as if everything is accustomed. It's the same morning I wake up to, the same color, the same interior...I am the only one who's not anymore the same.I tried to lift my legs but with every move, the ache intensifies and I couldn't do anything but endure it and climb down the bed still covered with the whole blanket because I am dirty naked. I stood up and noticed the bloodstain on the bed covering. The last night's havoc appeared vivid once more. My heart sinks as if drowned in a deep
Gabbie's POVI wanna go home. I miss my brother. That brat has not called me even once since my wedding. What a cold-hearted kid. Gwyneth must be busy taking care of my father, too. I hope they are all doing fine. Tomorrow I'm going back to school. I miss Leia so much and I'm so excited to end the day. But it's 7 am at the moment and I heaved a deep breath.Another day of sorrow.I got up and went straight to the bathroom. I must have a limpid mind to cope with everything. An early knock on my door had me hasten my actions to respond to it quickly. I went out of the bathroom, wiped myself clean, and opened the door only to see Belle that is clad with her bright smile."Good morning Ma'am. I'm here to tell you that Sir Xander wants to see you. He is in his office," she declared and I replied nicely. Her tone was very calm. Little did she know how terrifying that summon is. But it's not like I can do something about it. Albeit my heart instantly raced after hearing his name in the earl
Gabbie's POV"G-Good evening, Sir." I stammered while walking step by step towards them. I was double thinking whether to join this conclave or to stay out of it."Come, sit," he confirmed so I obediently sat beside Xander on the couch, facing Mr. Alejandro on the other side. I was calculating the distance I should give to Xander when I sat on his side. I settled on two feet but to my surprise, he held my waist to pull me closer and kissed the side of my head.I gasped but was unnoticed since he spoke immediately after kissing me. "How's your day, my wife?"I looked at him with my half bewilderment. It's because I can somehow smell what he is trying to act. I met his eyes and finally substantiate my thoughts. His eyes say it all behind his grin."Great! I had a great day," I said while looking into his eyes.He widen his smile and caressed my waist. "Good to hear," he ended."I can see you've adjusted to each other very quickly." Mr. Alejandro shut the sudden eye battle between me and
3rd Person's POVThe swaying reeds on the roadside are fanning cold air to the inside of the car. They kept the windows open throughout the drive just to lessen the pressure that smother them, particularly Gabbie. She has been silent ever since they pound the pavement. Meanwhile, the man in the driver's seat was constantly receiving calls from people Gabbie doesn't have an idea of. Yet, from the way Xander was addressing them, she perceived them to be close acquaintances."Of course! That would be fun! Ok cool. I'm in!" those are a few of his answers to someone on the line. Gabbie does not seem to care and would never ask about it either.Rule number three of the contract: Don't intervene with my business and personal life. There were a few more phone calls Xander entertained that eventually gave sound to their quiet journey, at least. It would be so much of an awkward silence if there were none. Gabbie could only sigh. Not so long after, they finally arrived at the vacation house. Th
3rd Person's POVA week had passed after that vacation that turned nightmare. They returned home and returned to how they were. But the girl has become so restless for the whole week doing her proper jobs, or should she say slavery.Every morning, she'd wake up at dawn to check the roses, wear the custom-made apron that Pauline made her in assisting in the kitchen, the apron was so cute anyway, she would also remove specks of dust in every corner of the lounge area, purify the pool water, and prepare Xander's bath. While Xander is in the bathroom, Gabbie would sneak to his walk-in closet to prepare his suit. The stylists sure taught her but she cannot possibly master that, so she matches Xander's outfit based on her taste. The man sometimes changes some stuff such as the color of his necktie or watch. But whenever Xander goes down wearing the exact outfit that Gabbie prepared, she would feel very proud. She can become a stylist in this state. When Xander finally leaves to work, Gabbie
3rd Person's POVGabbie wore her 4-inch shining silver heels as the last touch. Everyone in the room has the same look of amazement and awe at the woman's radiating beauty. She is now facing the whole body mirror, examining herself. She is clad in a bloody red off-shoulder gown with a slit up until her thighs. Her hair is a curled plait braid that shows off her fancy silver dangler earrings. Her lowered sweetheart gown neckline also reveals her collar bone and her silver infinity-designed necklace. It's totally appealing yet the girl can't seem to gather her confidence and sporadically deepens her breathing."You're such a gorgeous lady, Ma'am. No wonder Sir Xander had gone head over heels for you," the main stylist teased the woman but she did not believe one bit of it, of course. They are hearing lots of rumors for sure."I'm sure Mrs. Evans is a lot more beautiful from the inside. Sir Xander must be thanking the stars for sending him an angel," the assistant stylist added and they
3rd Person's POVIt was a tranquil Saturday morning. Gabbie is sitting on a dock above a pond and enjoying the activities of some tiny and brightly-colored fishes."It looks peaceful in there," Gabbie catches sight behind to check who was coming and she saw a familiar man in his formal suit walking towards her. He was the man whom she talked with on her wedding day."Jameson, remember?" That just confirmed her thoughts."Yes," she answered without frills and the man sat on the empty chair beside her. They are both looking over the pond."Though you don't ask, I am here to get some files from Sir Xander's office on his request," he glimpsed at her side quickly and so was Gabbie. She beamed at him and nodded."I see," It's the weekend but Xander must be in the office to deal with unfinished businesses but Gabbie is not someone who would ask about that in detail. If she was a loved wife then it would give her a little spine to act as one and use her privilege to ask what she's baffling a
3rd Person's POVXander was called to the Chairman's office, to his father. It was the first call he received in the early Monday morning. He went straight there and already prepared himself for the worst. His prospect was somehow worth it as the moment he stepped a meter apart from his father, he received a hard slap. He was unmoved from where he stood and the chairman slapped him again on the other side.Serving him right, is what his father thinks. Those slaps are too little to be a rebuke for the imprudent thing he made. But Xander was not repenting one bit. That jerk deserves it, he believes."How can you lose control like that? You're such an idiot, you know that?" his father pointed to his forehead and pushed it hard multiple times, amplifying foolishness."How should we explain that dispute, Xander you tell me!" He is getting so enraged the more he thinks of what happened."We don't have to explain," after saying that, he received a kick that caused him to fall to the ground.
