3rd Person's POVIt was a tranquil Saturday morning. Gabbie is sitting on a dock above a pond and enjoying the activities of some tiny and brightly-colored fishes."It looks peaceful in there," Gabbie catches sight behind to check who was coming and she saw a familiar man in his formal suit walking towards her. He was the man whom she talked with on her wedding day."Jameson, remember?" That just confirmed her thoughts."Yes," she answered without frills and the man sat on the empty chair beside her. They are both looking over the pond."Though you don't ask, I am here to get some files from Sir Xander's office on his request," he glimpsed at her side quickly and so was Gabbie. She beamed at him and nodded."I see," It's the weekend but Xander must be in the office to deal with unfinished businesses but Gabbie is not someone who would ask about that in detail. If she was a loved wife then it would give her a little spine to act as one and use her privilege to ask what she's baffling a
3rd Person's POVXander was called to the Chairman's office, to his father. It was the first call he received in the early Monday morning. He went straight there and already prepared himself for the worst. His prospect was somehow worth it as the moment he stepped a meter apart from his father, he received a hard slap. He was unmoved from where he stood and the chairman slapped him again on the other side.Serving him right, is what his father thinks. Those slaps are too little to be a rebuke for the imprudent thing he made. But Xander was not repenting one bit. That jerk deserves it, he believes."How can you lose control like that? You're such an idiot, you know that?" his father pointed to his forehead and pushed it hard multiple times, amplifying foolishness."How should we explain that dispute, Xander you tell me!" He is getting so enraged the more he thinks of what happened."We don't have to explain," after saying that, he received a kick that caused him to fall to the ground.
Xander's POVI am the worst human being and I mean it when I say that. Ever since I heard about Kiel whom she loved all these times, my blood couldn't stop boiling. I absolutely hate it. I doubt that she plans to run away with that man but I still felt insecure, possessive, and obsessed!I fucking forced myself on her. I fucking raped my wife. Shit! I keep on banging my head above my desk. I deserve all this torment my brain gives me coz I don't have the right brain to start with.I woke up early that day, or maybe because I didn't fall asleep at all. I felt so jerk albeit I am always a jerk, especially at that moment. What the hell did I just do to this innocent angel? She fell deep asleep due to exhaustion. Her face was soaked with sweat and her breathing was not calm at all. I slowly caressed her hair out from her face. I got some tissues from the side drawer and smoothly wiped her face, making sure it would not wake her up. Observing her sleep gave me a little serene though I know
3rd Person's POVIt's been a week and Gabbie has not been talking to Xander. It is not like they always talk and this is new, but her silence is especially bothering Xander in a way.Since the incident with Clyde and after Gabbie went to her room that night, the two didn't have any proper interaction at all. Gabbie wakes up so early to do her daily job and sometimes leaves for school earlier than Xander. She will then arrive home early to work again and then lock herself in her room after dinner. They are not having their meals together as usual. Sometimes when they run to each other in the kitchen at night, like when Gabbie goes down to quench her thirst, or when Xander goes down to get himself some coffee for overnight work, none of them initiates a conversation, both doing their own thing.Xander was always the one surrendering and would break the ice but the woman was rather cold and answers him only with simple gestures. There is one time when Gabbie was alone baking some cupcake
3rd Person's POVXander barged into his father's office without any notice. He doesn't care. He even beat up some guards that tried to stop him. His father was staying in his hidden place an hour distant at a regular speed from the Evans public-known mansion. But Xander arrived there less than half an hour. His father sensed something bad already from the way his son came that almost tore down the walls. "Explain to me, everything," he commanded without a bit of respect. His father wasn't moved at all and sat there on his chair as comfortably as before."What is there to explain?" he asked. Xander knew that his father knew he was coming that is why he didn't even winced when he came uninvited.'Fuck Brandon!'"That was right, Brandon fucking harassed Gabbie's mother eight years ago. I was the one who took care of the case that's why until now, Gwyneth hasn't found the suspect," he explained without a scrap of conscience. "But I see, they've met." Now he seemed distraught. "Why must y
3rd Person's POVEIGHT YEARS AGOThe bell rings three times and children squeak upon going outside their rooms. They rushed to the large dining area where ten tables were all set. They formed a queue from the counter as they are given a bowl and spoon for lunch.A young lady in her early 20s is serving the children pieces of meat while wearing her kindest smile of sympathy. The children do not have families anymore to feed them. The young lady is just too jovial to be someone who can help even with this simple act.She has been working in this orphanage for a year now. She is the newest lady in the said place that is far from the urban area. The orphanage is located deep down in the forests and that is making the atmosphere more relaxing for her. The organization that built this home for homeless children is constantly supplying the kids with everything they need. The ladies working there also have their rooms and are also given salaries for taking care of the children. Gwyneth didn't
3rd Person's POVThe house was silent when Xander arrived home. He arrived particularly late tonight because he cannot find the courage to go home and see Gabbie clad with her innocent eyes. He can't bear thinking of the fact that he is hiding crucial news from her especially when he knew that the information would probably ease the long-term hole in her heart.Yet, even though he avoided seeing Gabbie, she is still the first person he thought of when he stepped inside the mansion. He missed her so much.Gabbie has not yet resided in her room because she felt like doing some pastries again. She cannot sleep because something unknown is bugging her. She is in the kitchen alone when Xander came there. He just knew where she is.They met eyes and Gabbie smiled at him, "Hi!" she said while mixing some dough.Xander didn't respond and sat by the stool facing the woman. He was planning to watch her do her thing. That would be enough for him to ease his anxiousness. Gabbie let him sit there
Gabbie's POVGabbie woke up early today. Thanks to the adjustment of her body alarm she can rise as early as five in the morning. She slunked off of Xander's room and went to hers. She prepared herself to start her regime. She went straight to the kitchen to cook some breakfast. The maids are already set for their morning work, too. Sometimes she wonder what is their waking time because they are always up before her even how early she is.She was entrusted with making Xander's breakfast meal for weeks now and today is no exception. She think her recipes are improving because Xander never once spat any of her dishes. Well, she ain't that bad of a cook to start with. She grew up feeding herself so she somehow mastered the basics. She decided to cook an omelet. 'I told you, I mastered the basics.' It's a good thing though, enough to give herself a hand. Eggs should always be a part of the diet because it's one of the simplest recipes to make that can turn into a plat du jour. She was so f
