Heidi couldn't help the guilt inside her heart. She sat on the chair beside Isla who was deeply asleep on the bed.

“I need to tell her…” She looked at Lucas.

“It might only worsen the situation,” Lucas responded. “You'd better keep quiet about it.”

How could Heidi remain quiet, letting the guilt eat at her heart?

But Lucas was right. Telling Isla might only worsen matters. Isla might not only hate Lucas but also her.

Standing from the chair, Heidi sat on the couch beside Lucas. “How about we tell Killian about it?”

Lucas looked deep in thought. “What if he doesn't care? Won't the truth hurt?”

“Killian should have been honest with her. He shouldn't use her and just toss her aside.”

“You know the reason why Killian is marrying your cousin. Besides, he might not be in love with your assistant.”
