226. Canceling The Collaboration

Heidi wanted to believe that her ears were playing pranks on her. She checked the phone's screen to make sure it was Natalie speaking.

“What loan are you speaking about?”

“Aren't you aware of it?” Natalie asked. “I thought you were the one who signed those documents. A huge amount of money is missing from the finance department.”

Heidi controlled herself from standing up due to the shock as she had almost forgotten she was inside a car. “Missing money?”

“I asked Zach and he told me he wasn't the one who gave out the loans. You guys are the only ones capable of giving such commands. How did the money disappear-”

A commotion came from the background Natalie was speaking, interrupting her. She cursed through the phone and said, “I'm sorry, Heidi. Let me handle something, I'll get back to you soon.”

After hanging up, Heidi's lips parted and she felt speechless, her racing heart refusing to calm down.

“Ms. Olsen…” Isla called her attention. “Is the Group in trouble?”

“Don't know… I guess s
