221. Looking Different

“Heidi…” Lucas called out, his eyes following each of her uncomfortable movements as she shifted on her chair. “Look at me at least.”

“What do you want, Mr. Harrison?” Heidi mumbled, not daring to glance up.

“Can you stop calling me that?”

“Stop calling you what?”

“Well, you can call me by my name…” he suggested.

Heidi's attention instantly turned to the food she'd shunned as the delicious aroma made her stomach grumble.

The fact that they ordered some of her favorite foods wasn't helping matters.

She hesitated, looking from her lap to the food, struggling to ignore its presence.

“Are you hungry?” Lucas's chuckles resounded in her ears.

Heidi sighed inside. She'd be damned to embarrass herself by saying yes.

He didn't wait for her reply though. He took a plate and some utensils and served the dishes for her.

“W-What are you doing?” Heidi asked, flabbergasted.

“Trying to feed you.”

“Huh?”
