Party invitation

Shirley's POV

“Shirley, come I give you a ride.”

I look back and it was Ivan, a boy from my school. He owned a car his parents had bought for him for his birthday. There were only two children in their family, he was the oldest and their parents were filthy rich.

He stops his car and I had no option but to accept the ride. At least I will not ruin my make up by running.

“You look nice today, do you have a date after school” Ivan brakes the silence between us. I look at him and smiled.

He was handsome but not that much. He had brown eyes and hair. He had a cute smile and his teeth were so white any girl would not think twice about kissing his cute lips. He is definatly my type.

“Thanks. But I have just decided to dress up like this. I don’t have any special occasion today” I ended up saying while smiling broadly. I don’t have a boyfriend anyway.

“Well if you don’t have one I am inviting you to my party tonight. It's Friday anyway and tomorrow we have no school so you don’t have an excuse to say no to me. I also want you to look stunning just like you look now.” Ivan says.

To be honest I have never been to a party before and I was really afraid. How were my parents going to accept this? I am also a minor. I had some few months to go before I was an adult. Ivan really insisted until I had no other choice but to say yes.

“Bring your friends along.” He adds.

We reach school in about 5 minutes. I had a few minutes to finish my project before classes started.

“Thanks Ivan. You saved me today.” I say to him and I immediately rush to class. I find Kelly, my best friend, also doing hers. I knew she would not finish in time. She is always out partying in the clubs.

She was so free with her life, not like me. She was older than me. She was already 18 and was an adult now. Her life was interesting and on top of that she was so beautiful. I guess she was the most beautiful girl in our class. Making others so jealous of her, I too wanted a life like hers.

“Hello Shirley, you are late today girl I was waiting for you.” She notice me already immediately I enter class.

That girl was always so keen. I loved her. I shared all my secrets with her and she did the same I guess.

“I know and I am so sorry, I had some things to do that is why I am late.” I tell her. I sit beside her and start to finish my project.

The bell rings and immediately the teacher walks in. It was our history teacher. It was my favourite subject and I used to pass it really well.

My parents never appreciated my good grades sometimes. So I sometimes did not let my result slip to them. It was like no one ever bothered about me. I was at ease mostly in school. It was fun to be here. Laughing with Kelly and chatting with her made all my problems go away.

The teacher checked our projects, luckily I was already done before she walked in. Though it was not so properly done at least I was through with it. Some of my classmates had not done it completely and they were given a punishment. I was lucky, thanks to Ivan who was sent my way today morning. I was happy.

After classes we went for our lunch at the cafeteria. Some girls went out to eat good food but most of the time I had no money the same as Kelly. I did not see any problem with that at all. I was there to learn anyway not to have good food.

“Kelly do you know Ivan West.” I finally asked Kelly after keeping quiet about this since morning and I could not hold it anymore.

“That rich kid, how can I not know him? Everybody knows him and every girl is dying to be his girlfriend.” She says smiling.

“Well, he has a party tonight and he has invited me, he told me to bring along a friend and I only have one friend and that is you. So will you come with me?.” I ask her.

“I am surprised my friend, where did you see each other until he invited you” She asked me with a lot of curiosity. It is like she wanted to know every detail.

“He gave me a ride to school today. That is where he told me about the party” I answered her. It seemed like She was not look happy but she pretended to be happy. “We will go then” She says..

Ivan’s Pov

I see Shirley from far away and I decide to follow her and give her a ride to school. She was the most beautiful girl to me and I wanted to ask her out one of these days. I hoped she would not say no to me.

I consider myself one of the most hot, rich and classy boys at school. I even have my own car at such a tender age. No girl ever said no to me. They were all over me except her, Shirley. I notice today she was really pretty from that dress she wore.

“Shirley come, I will give you a ride” I say to her and she agrees It must be my lucky day today. I decide to tease her to see if she is seeing any boy from school and she says no. I am glad to hear that.

I invite her to my party tonight. I hope she will be there just like she promised. I will tell her about my feelings today. I drop her to school and she thanks me while running.

We were in different classes so sometimes I did not see her at all. I forgot to ask for her number again. I was afraid for her turning me down. I will just gain her trust little by little. Good things require patience so I will be so patient with her.
