The music was loud as the wind whipped around us but Katerina didn’t seem to mind. In fact, a few of the songs she sang along with me. As much as it pained me to think about, I was pretty sure I got my musical side from my father. Poor Katerina could hold a tune. It tickled Raine to no end. Mostly because this she-wolf was the picture of grace and beauty with a dash of rebellious nature. She was almost too perfect. This made her a little more down to earth.

I slowed the Thing down after a couple hours, knowing we were coming up to the territory border soon.

“This was fun.” I looked at her. “If they allow you out again, I wouldn’t mind hanging out again.”

Her smile was so bright it was almost blinding. “I would love that too, Sky”

There was no wiping the grin off her face now. I slowed up to a stop at the same place I stopped last time I was here. A figure came out from behind the trees. It was easy to know who it was just by the ridiculous frown and slumped shoulders.
