Chapter three

In one of the highest skyscrapers in New York.

A young man in his late twenties sat in the executive swivel armchair in the board meeting. A worker stood at the other end in front of the projector giving her presentation with a forced smile on her face but with confidence radiating from her.

There was deadly silence inside the board room as everyone listened to her with absolute tranquility being maintained.

From time to time they turned their heads and look at the formidable boss who had been silent since the presentation.

His handsome godly face and gaze focused on the projector looking at the words and pictures that are in front of him.

His perfect jawline and sharp cheekbone were so outlined and perfect, giving a good shape to his handsome godly face.

His eyebrows furrowed a few times but he remained silent and had not spoken which was a hint of surprise for his employers and board members.

" The resort location and its evaluation is in downhills of the mountains...." he suddenly spoke in a cold low magnetic voice trying to analyze the flaws but

" Boss," his assistant entered Into the board room and whispered something into his ear which made his expressionless face crake a little.

After the assistant left with a troubled expression on his face.

The whole people held their breath and waited for their boss to comment on the project in fear. This was the first time they are seeing his expressionless face almost crack.

Brian Wilson suddenly stands on his feet and wiped his gaze across the room and said in his low magnetic.

"The meeting has been adjourned and you" he pointed out to the project manager which made the man almost pee on himself being pointed by his formidable boss.

" You should do better, I want a perfect project by the next board meeting."

" Yes sir," he replied bending his head slightly.

Brian looked at them once again before scrolling out of the room.

His absence made them have sighed with relief.

"Frank!" Brian called out to his assistant as he stepped out of the board meeting.

" Yes boss," he rushed towards Brian and stood beside him.

" What did the old man say?" he asked and scrolled forward without looking at his assistant who was almost running to keep up with his pace.

" Sir, Mr. Wilson asked you to come back home before ten minutes, and boss he sounds quite angry," he answered and looked at his boss's face which remained expressionless.

Brian clenched his fist and unclenched it after a second. ' This old man is stepping on my nerves.' he thought.

He adjusted his suit and took out his phone which buzzed in his pant pocket as they stepped into the elevator.

" Hello?" he said after he answered the call.

" Brian Wilson Alfonso, I want you back to the mansion within ten minutes." the voice of an old man vibrated from the phone.

Brians furrowed his eyebrows and took a deep breath before sighing.

He looked at the elevator which has opened as they reached the exit and stepped out with his left hand still holding the phone.

" Did you hear me!" Mr. Wilson's voice rang out in anger when he could not hear a response from Brian for a second

Brain took a deep breath as he answered and stepped into his personal garage.

" Yes grandpa, I will be back," he replied and cut the call before he could hear any other word from the old man.

" Boss!" the chauffeur greeted as he opened the back door of the car for Brian.

Brian looked at him and grunted in reply before sitting down in the back seat.

The chauffeur closed the back car as Brian entered the car. His assistant entered the passenger seat.

" To the old mansion!" he spoke to his chauffeur

" Okay, sir!"

" Frank, make an appointment with the Amodon company and tell him that, I have accepted their proposal."

Frank looked at his boss surprised but he still replied without any obstruction.

" Yes, boss."

Brian leaned back and closed his eyes. He massaged his tired eyebrows and decided to take a short nap. For the past few days, he hasn't slept a wink.

" Sir, we are here!" the chauffeur announced as he drove into the big castle.

Brian lazily opened his heavy eyeliner and looked outside at the beautiful scenery with a glomming and solemn gaze.

He opened the door and stepped out, looking at the big mansion. No! he will rather call it ' the castle. '

A place he once called home, the beautiful memory, all of them seem to be nothing but a lash to pain now. he closed his eyes after sometimes he opened them wiping away all emotions radiating from his eyes.

Before he could even breathe probably, two women came rushing to him.

" Welcome home young master," Brian looked at the old workers in the mansion and grunted in response.

Before he could step into the porch, twenty workers lined up in two rows and bow down a little bit in greeting.

" Welcome home Second young master!" he looked at them and ignored their greeting. He paused in his step and looked at them. Many faces, he could not recognize. Only a few among them

were old workers.

Irritation was clear in his eyes as he looked at them, he snorted and scrolled inside making the new workers look at each other with one thing running across their minds ' So cold like the rumors, No colder than what we heard.'

The old workers were not surprised by his attitude because they knew, he has been like this since the event that happened in the past but it became worst after the last event that occurred last five years which has become taboo to mention in the mansion. The second young master has become colder since then and he moved out and hasn't returned except today.

Immediately he stepped into the great beautiful luxurious and exquisite sitting room, he saw his grandpa sitting down on his usual head-arm golden-designed golden king chair.

" Good afternoon, grandpa." he greeted in a monotonous tone.

" Hmm, welcome home Brian. Do want to have lunch with me?" the aggressive man that spoke on the phone was gone.

Brian did not respond but rather sat down on the golden and silver dragon-made couch " Why do you invite me here. I have a lot of things to do!" he went straight to the topic, he did not want to stay a second here.

" Okay, Brian. I want to know how you are handling the Douglas Alfonso group of company!"

" I don't understand what you mean grandpa. How I handle it has nothing to do with you," he said with a straight face

"Brian!" he said in an agitated voice and knock his stink on the ground. No one has ever spoken to him in that way. He is a man of unshakable power.

" Grandpa, the company is going fine, have you forgotten that I manage two different companies and their branches alone. I have my own company to run and also have to think about your own company. If you don't trust my judgment and leadership, why don't you call my brother to call back and take back the affairs of the company?

Mr. Alfonso looked at his youngest grandson in silence, after some time. He changed the topic to the reason why he called him.

" There is a bug that has been trying and discomforting our system. I want you to look into it and I expect you to do a clean job."

Brian looked at the old man and nodded, only the two of them understood what he was talking about.

" Brian, I think it's time for you to get married. I will arrange a marriage for you. I don't like the recent news. I have been hearing about you."

Brian's body shuddered at the mention of marriage. His face turned deadly terrifying.
