"Did you enjoy the breakfast, Kad?" Mom asked the man.
Kadmiel softly smiled at my mother. I snorted mentally. Plastic. Maybe he's just pretending everything about this setup is okay for him for only God knows what he really needs from my parents.
"I'm glad you did!" Mom clapped in enthusiasm. "Harisson and I will have a meeting with an important investor in a few. I'm afraid to leave you here with my daughter. Don't worry, she doesn't bite. You could use this time as a start to know more about each other."
I scoffed. I don't bite? Yes, that's right. But I kick an asshole's balls.
"No problem, Tita Kamila." Kadmiel answered but his eyes were on me. I raised a brow as a reaction and I saw a little stretch on the side of his lips before he looked away.
He calls my parents Tita and Tito. It's Filipino terms you can call adults or people older than you if you're casual with them and also as a sign of respect. Tita for females and Tito for males. Kadmiel is that close to my parents, huh?
My parents stood up. I was about to go with them but they stopped me.
"Stay here and entertain Kadmiel. We're leaving," Dad firmly told me before glancing at Kadmiel for the last time.
When finally my parents were gone, I immediately looked at Kadmiel. He was just standing behind his seat, arms crossed on his chest.
"Liar. Stalker. Freak." With so much controlled anger, I spat the words to him.
His left brow shot up. He put his hands inside his pockets casually, what I said didn't even affect him!
"Just tell me if you want me to go home now," he said in a low deep voice.
"You told me last night you don't even know me! And now you're here in front of my eyes, showing up as my fiancé? You stalked me inside the club, didn't you?! You planned it all! How does it feel to take my virginity away? Does it boost your ego, huh?"
Kadmiel's jaw clenched. I bit my tongue when I saw how his eyes flamed. It's like I saw a disaster pass right through his eyes.
"It's true that I don't know you."
"You know I'm your fiancée!"
"I know my fiancée by name, I'm not familiar with the face."
I smirked. "Such a good liar. How come, huh? I'm all over the internet! And there's no way you won't search me up upon knowing the marriage thingy. Don't fool me!"
He sighed.
"I'm not interested in searching you up. I agreed on what your parents told me without the interest to know you."
"Really? What if your fiancée is a psycho?"
He shrugged. "Are you a psycho?"
"Of course not!"
"Then there's no need for me to worry."
"I can't believe you!" I exaggeratedly gasped.
He didn't say anything. He pulled his chair and sat on it. His arms rested on the table without tearing his eye contact with me. I creased my forehead and glared at him.
"Stop looking at me!" I hissed.
"Sit down and we'll talk," he commanded. "Peacefully."
"What are you? My boss?"
He shut his eyes tightly. "Just sit down, Katriel. We'll talk about how to work things out. I'm not here as your enemy."
"I won't react this way if you didn't lie to me!"
"I did not lie. What I told you is the truth."
I scoffed. "Truth my ass."
"I'm sorry," he sighed. "Now, sit down."
"There! You finally admitted that you lied."
"I did not admit anything. I just said sorry," he answered.
"I fucking hate you," I said under my breath.
I sat on the chair aggressively, making a loud noise as a sign of my madness. I'm still glaring at Kadmiel who's acting oblivious. If he wants to donate some patience, I would gladly accept some. While he's there on the other side of the table remaining calm, I am here, almost exploding like a bomb with the shortest patience I have for him.
"Let's talk about our set-up," Kadmiel said after a long pause of silence.
"Let's talk about my plan and conditions," I answered.
He shot a brow. "Go on."
"First of all, I just saw an article a while ago with my pictures leaving the hotel w-where we d-did it." I paused and gulped. I don't want to talk about it but I need to tell him what I saw. "People are saying I have been doing it with different men I different hotels even though they have no other proofs."
"Then let's go back to that hotel and make sure we will be seen together going in and out of it," he said while puckering his lower lip.
I widened my eyes. "What will we do in the hotel?!"
"What do you want us to do?" he asked, chuckling.
"Fuck you," I hissed.
"That's what you want? Fuck me?"
"No! I was cursing you!" I groaned in annoyance. "I really hate you."
He chuckled. "We don't have to do anything. I can book a suite with two bedrooms. I can work there while you can do anything you'd like. It's not like we'll stay there in 24 hours."
"Right." He got a point, fine. "Okay, so when will we do that?"
"You decide."
"This Saturday. I want people to stop thinking I'm fucking every man."
"I want that too. I know the truth and hearing that speculation is weird."
I glared at Kadmiel. Why does it sound like bragging? Like he knows the truth that I've only ficked him. Gosh, he is getting more annoying! I want to end this conversation with him so bad.
"In terms of making people believe we are in a relationship, posting pictures on social media helps. But let's not rush it. Let's just go out fiesta and let people discover our so-called relationship," I told him, dismissing the previous topic. "Do you have a social media account?"
He nodded. "I*******m."
"How about F******k?"
"I only have i*******m," he replied with finality.
"Old," I snorted.
"I don't find F******k useful."
"And I*******m is useful?"
"My sister made the account for me. A lot of people are following me but I rarely upload."
"You won't mind posting my pictures in the next few weeks, right?" I leaned on the table and smirked at him.
"Not at all. You're pretty."
I almost choked up with my own saliva. His fucking mouth has no filter at all!
"I know that," I replied, trying to regain my composure. "So, the schedule of our dates will depend on you. I'm free anytime."
His brows met. "Isn't it the other way around? My time is flexible. I can cancel any schedule. While you… you are a student. As far as I know, you're only free during weekends."
"I always go out after class, though." I rolled my eyes.
His eyes darkened but didn't say anything more.
"We can date anywhere. But I prefer clubs," I giggled. "And by the way, about skinship. You can hold my waist, we can hold each other's hand while walking, but please no kissing."
He shifted his position from his seat and leaned on the table. He glared at me for a while before his eyes went back to being cold.
"You kissed every man in every club you go to and didn't mind the photos taken by random people. And yet I'm not allowed to kiss you? Kissing will make it more convincing."
"Really?" I narrowed my eyes on him. "Or you just wanna score on me?"
"I mean kissing you on your cheeks or just giving you a peck on the lips, Katriel. We don't have to french kiss or make out." This time, he was the one narrowing his eyes on me.
I rolled my eyes. "Fine. But I'm a good kisser, you know."
"So you really want to french kiss in public places?"
"No! I even said no kissing but you insisted. Don't be full of yourself, Candelon."
"Sure." He smirked.
"Annoying," I hissed. "Anyway, that's all. Public dating and subtle flexing in social media is the main plan to make people believe we are something. But please, Kadmiel. No other woman. People might brand me as the "other woman" even if I'm not!"
"I'm supposed to be the one to say that," he said. "No other man, Katriel."
"Of course!"
That ended our conversation that morning. I went back to my room and locked myself inside. I can't believe I'm doing this for the sake of my parents' corny plan. And I can't believe a successful bachelor like Kadmiel is doing this too. What did my parents do to him?
I sighed and changed into more comfortable clothes. Kadmiel doesn't even seem affected. He just looked at me from head to toe once and that's it. He wasn't even Intimidated by how much skin is showing from me.
I scoffed.
That's probably because he has already seen a lot of women. I really don't get why his name is so clear about having women. He's such a good sneaky boy!
After changing into an oversized shirt and dolphin shorts, I jumped on my bed, bringing my phone with me. I opened my i*******m and noticed someone famous followed me.
kadcandelon | 2.9M followers | 24 following
I gasped. It's Kadmiel. With 2.9 fucking followers! My followers didn't even reach half of it, what the freak?
I closed my eyes and calmly clicked the follow back button. His displayed photo is a silhouette photo of him on the beach. He only uploaded a total of 9 photos and they're all about nature.
I noticed the mixed hues of pink and orange around his displayed photo. I clicked it and almost gasped again.
It was me. Well, my face isn't seen so no one would suspect that it's me. No one can actually tell who the girl is. It was just my back, only half is seen while the whole photo was consumed by the garden in my background. When did he take this photo?
Good thing I didn't take a photo of that outfit in our garden. I don't want people to eventually find out about "us." I want to see how people get curious over a hot bachelor's love life. I want to witness their thirst and hunger.
I smirked and replied to Kadmiel's story.
aldredakat: Aw, my fiancé is fast & sweet.
My brows met when I immediately received a reply. He's active here, huh?
kadcandelon: I am fast and sweet. Proven & tested, right?
My cheeks heated upon realizing what could be meant by that. I threw my phone and screamed frustratedly. I hate his mind and guts!
Damn you, Kadmiel.
I bit my nails as I tried to understand my professor. His subject is business tax, and I hate it. I hate everything about tax lessons. I just have to thank my parents for giving me their smart genes because thankfully, I easily understand the lessons. My ass wouldn't survive in this course if my laziness was paired up with stupidity.I heaved a sigh when finally, the class was over. I put the sling of my bag on my shoulder and prepared myself to leave. I glanced at Anna, a blockmate, who made her way towards me."Hi, Katriel!" she flashed me her annoying smile. I don't like it when she smiles. She has braces on her teeth, plus her gums always show. It just doesn't look right."Hi." I faked a smile."Is it true? That you and Kadmiel Candelon are a thing?" Her eyes flamed in jealousy. She was smiling but her eyes told otherwise. Plastic.I raised a brow. "You're asking me because?""I'm just curious! You've had your ex-flings before. And… you were just on headlines, you know. You're jus
Days swiftly moved on and the news about me and Kadmiel being in a relationship grew wider. People from that club saw us and even captured us secretly. I still receive harsh and bitter comments from some people and it doesn't affect me at all. I know they're just jealous of me! They fantasize about Kadmiel so much and they hate the fact that I got him."We will hold a conference next week. We'll announce your engagement with Kadmiel. I think it's time, since your issues died down and there are a lot of people who believe that you two are in a serious relationship."I just silently ate my burger while listening to Mommy. I honestly don't care about their plan anymore. I just hope for a smooth journey until we reach the end of everything."Will Kadmiel go here today?"I didn't answer Dad nor even looked at him because at first, I thought it wasn't me he was talking. I just found out when he called my name sternly."Katriel.""Huh?" I blinked my eyes. "I don't know? He didn't say anythin
The cold breeze enveloped my skin as I went outside of our house. It was just 4 in the morning, it's still dark. Yesterday was the start of our semester break. Noreene, my only trusted friend, asked me where I would spend it and I honestly told her I'd marry Kadmiel. She couldn't believe it at first, because it wasn't that long since we announced the engagement, but I told her it's not a church wedding yet and we would want it to happen privately. "You must love each other that much, huh? You're that itchy to get tied with each other," Noreene was smiling on the monitor.I heaved a sigh. I still contemplated whether I would tell her the truth or not, but then I can trust her fully. There were numerous secrets I told her that she really kept to herself."Actually… Kadmiel and I…" I paused. "We're not a real couple. This is all just for a show. To clear my name. And erase my past scandalous issues from people's minds."Noreene's eyes grew wider. "So you mean… It's fake. But you're gonn
"Don't you have a boyfriend yet?" I glanced at Noreene who's busy with her phone. Her eyes moved to meet mine. "You know, you never introduced any. Not even a fling.""I don't need a man in life." She rolled her eyes and fixed her eyes on the phone.I shrugged. We are the complete opposite. That's why I still can't believe that we clicked and found the best friendship in each other. It was half past 10 when Noreene fell asleep. On the other hand, my eyes are wide awake. I anxiously held the ring on my finger while trying to digest what just happened today. I got married. At the age of 21, I married the bachelor every girl dreams to have. Oh. Everything that Kadmiel owns is also mine now, right?I scoffed. It's only mine in terms of papers. I still have no rights with his property and money because I'm not really her wife. We're only married by papers. Nothing less, nothing more.Trying to find something to do while I can't find myself to sleep yet, I decided to browse on the internet
I tried so hard to walk normally while reaching my room. Kadmiel insisted on walking with me but I refused. I don't want Noreene to see us together and give her any ideas. At least, walking inside alone can help me more to circulate a reason without Kadmiel getting involved. I bit my lips while trying to compose myself. I was about to open the door when it already opened before I could even lay a hand on it. Noreene's eyes were half-closed, and her hair is still a bit messy. I assume she just got out of bed."Where have you been?!" Her eyes are a bit widened. She scanned my body and I thought she's gonna say something more but she just pulled me inside our suite."Calm down, Noreene. I just went somewhere," I told her while secretly wincing. My center aches so bad and Noreene's pulling me, making me walk that makes me feel the pain more. When we reached the sofa, I silently sighed. Finally, I can rest my thighs that are close to giving up. Thank God it's not shaking because I don't k
We eventually went back to normal after we went back home. A day before my classes resumed, Mommy went to me. She was crossing her arms on her chest as she sat down beside me on the bed."What do you need, Mom?" My brows are knitted while looking at her."I'm proud of you lately, Katriel. I can see that ever since you started it with Kadmiel, people have come to like you."My face contorted. I know this is the plan and goal but I still can't help it to feel bad everytime I get reminded that I've only been liked by people because of Kadmiel. It's like saying that I can't clean my name without associating it with a successful, worthy man."That's our goal and it happened," I replied icily."Ah-huh. And in no time, people will know that you two are already married. It was private but I made someone take a few pictures of it to reveal to the media. So people would think you two are really in love and wanted a low-key married life."I gasped. My mom could be a writer or a director!"Okay,
"My family heard the news about our marriage."I slowed down my pace of chewing and looked at Kadmiel. We are having our breakfast together. It's been days since I moved in here. He always drives me to school but rarely fetches me because of his schedule. The news about our secret marriage also already broke out and it shocked a lot of people.I'm sure girls are now crying because they had no zero percent chance now to Kadmiel. Well, unless of course, they're desperate enough to chase after a married man."And?" I asked, after swallowing the food in my mouth."They have been wanting to meet you ever since they found out about our relationship. Especially my dad. . ." He paused as if he remembered something. "He idolizes your mom so much. And he can't wait to meet the daughter of his greatest idol.""Mommy?"He nodded. "Yup. He loves watching her films.""Wow. My mom is really popular, huh."Mom was a great and known artist during her time. Well, up until now, her name is still popular
"Kadmiel!"I stomped my feet as I became more problematic. We're about to leave and visit his family yet he's still not giving me any idea on what to bring as a present that his family would like."I said anything will do, Katriel.""I want a specific one." I groaned.Kadmiel sighed and held my waist as he pulled me closer to him. He's sitting on the couch while I'm standing in front of him, in between his thighs."My family won't mind whatever you will bring, Katriel. It's the thought that counts. They will be happy with anything. I swear," he calmly told me as he softly kissed my tummy."You better be right," I warned. I just felt him chuckle and didn't say anything more.We stopped by the mall as I opted to buy cake for his family. As we're heading to their house, my heart won't stop beating loudly. I am really nervous for some reason! "Relax." Kadmiel held my hand and kissed it. I didn't say anything. No matter how he tries to say it many times, my nerves won't just calm down!My
