"How was your day?"

"Good."

Kadmiel fetched from the school. I didn't welcome him with a hug nor a kiss, he didn't say anything about it though so I guess he's fine with it. He literally just sighed and watched me go inside his car independently.

"Really? You seem off…"

"I'm really fine," I replied, eyes on the road.

I felt his hand travel from my lap to my free hand. I didn't budge with his touch, I just let him hold it and kiss it softly.

"Do you wanna go somewhere else? It's still early. Let's date."

"I'm a bit tired from school." I shook my head. "And we don't need to date. Remember, Kad? We aren't real. We don't need to publicly show our relationship. The news about our marriage is enough."

Kadmiel sighed. His hand squeezed my hand before he put it on his mouth again to shower soft kisses.

"Tell me what's our problem, Katriel."
