Chapter 12

I went home with a heavy heart.

The maid welcomed me with a smile and somehow, it warmed my heart. She asked me what I wanted to eat but I refused. I don't feel like eating snacks.

I went to my room and changed my clothes immediately. I want to do something that could take away the heaviness from my heart. Something that would push and stretch me to continue life despite how fucked up it's getting be. It's draining at the moment, but hopefully worth it in the end.

I went straight to the kitchen and saw the maid cleaning the counter.

"Hi…" I smiled. "Can you teach me how to cook Adobo? I want to cook it for dinner. I really want to learn and cook for Kad."

"Of course, Ma'am!"

"Thank you!" I beamed.

She started preparing the ingredients we need for the Adobo. Adobo is a Filipino dish I've been wanting to learn ever since. I don't know but it feels like you're such a good wife if you mastered cooking it.
