I groggily opened my eyes and was greeted by the sight of a stark white room. The air was thick with a strange pungent smell, causing my nose to wrinkle in discomfort. As I attempted to sit up, a sharp pain shot through my head, making my thoughts feel hazy and my vision blur.

Taking a moment to collect my thoughts, I glanced around the room and noticed the cast encasing my legs and burns scattered across my body. Panic began to bubble within me, urging me to figure out where I was and what had happened. Ignoring the pain resonating from my leg, I mustered the strength to disconnect myself from the tangle of wires and needles, desperate to find some answers.

Just as I tried to stand, a door swung open and a woman in a crisp white coat burst into the room. Her eyes widened in shock as she took in my sight, clearly not expecting me to be on my feet. "Wh-what are you doing? How did you regain consciousness so quickly?" she stumbled, her voice filled with concern.
