Chapter 24: Training

Amari POV:

We've been sitting in my room talking for who knows how long. I'm just glad that we are having an opportunity to just talk. I’m mad not so much since we aired it all out

"I still can't believe you like choc-mint ice cream," I say chucking a pillow at him and he catches it

"It was all my mother ever bought so I learned to love it but you sweetheart like vanilla which is very boring if I must say" he smirks as he shrugs

"Not really cause with vanilla you can turn it into any flavor you feel like and that is amazing to me," I say falling back into my bed. Feeling contentment for the first time in a while I turn to him

"Xavier" I whisper out

"Don't push it" he says warningly

"My bad, Shadow," I say rephrasing it

"Yes sweetheart"

"I still know nothing about you or your childhood I just know the basics like your favorite book is The Laws of Power, your favorite ice cream is choc-mint, you love your mafia and you like me," I say resting my head on my arm facing him completely
