Chapter 32 - Twist of fate

**VITO’S POV**

Hearing the gunshot and seeing Juno fall, at that moment made me freeze. I couldn't move my feet, it seemed like my heart had jumped right out of my body. In my eyes, it played like it was all in slow motion. One minute I was witnessing her smile the next she was dropping to the ground. The very one time she smiled at me was going to be the last?

Being able to finally recover from the shock, I ran to Juno’s side and all I could see was blood which made my heart hammer in fear.

Searching around for the culprit, my eyes suddenly landed on Hugo on the ground, apparently his legs looked damaged and he still had the gun in his hands. Without wasting any more time, I shot him straight in the head. Although it felt a little bit satisfying to get rid of that bastard, I wasn't feeling okay still.
