Ivy followed Drake out to his SUV, she wanted to walk, she had more thinking to do, but that had to wait until she was home alone. She looked out the window, she was glad Draven didn’t say anything the entire ride to her house.
“Thanks for the ride.” She said getting out of the car.
“Wait.” He said getting out of the car. “I have to make sure he isn’t here.”
Ivy rolled her eyes. “He isn’t.”
“Drakes orders, we don’t need to lose you.” He said opening the door before she could say no. “Wait here while I check the place out.”
Ivy didn’t do what he said, she walked into the
They had a nice dinner, Drake kept Ivy calm for the evening. He didn’t talk anymore about the Council. Ivy was more nervous about seeing Nick tomorrow. He was afraid he would accidentally mention Ivy to his parents and they would mention her to the Council and things would go south from there. She couldn’t sleep, so she got out of bed and stood by the window and watched the stars and the moon. She wished she could get her answers from someone that she trusted, but there was no one, and that scared her. “Ivy come back to bed,” Drake said opening his eyes. “You’re thinking too much.” “If you were in my situation, I think you would be the same way.” She said without looking at him. “I don’t want to go with t
“Who is he?” Ivy whispered. “One of the Council members on our side, so they might already know.” “Yes, they do know.” He said glancing back. “They also know what you are planning or planned to do.” He said as they continued to walk. “Where are we going?” Drake asked. “To meet the Council.” He said stopping at a black limo. “We’ve known about you since you were born Ivy. Your parents thought it was fine for you to be protected and kept in the dark, and they also thought keeping us in the dark about you was safe. That was mainly the reason they were killed, had they come to us we would have been more prepared to protect you.” &nbs
“Look Ivy I know you want to be this girl that wants to fight this, but they are going to make you do things you don’t want to do,” Drake said touching her face. “Please don’t fight them, the more you fight them the more they like it. Please just eat, they will let you leave this room if they see that you are giving them what they want.” “Fine.” She said dragging the chains over to the bed where the food was. “I don’t want you around me, you betrayed me Drake I fell for your lies, I thought you loved me but you are a pathetic person.” She growled. “Please just leave and let me eat in peace.” “I will do as you requested, but we will have to be together, we are bound as one just remember that.” He said before leaving her there to eat as she requested. &nb
After Ivy finished up getting a few things of sweets, she decided to head back to her room, she wasn’t sure if there was a curfew or anything and she didn’t want someone to come and find her. Laying down on her bed she wasn’t sure if someone would bring her dinner or if there was a place for her to go, she was exhausted so she decided to try and sleep, that was short-lived when someone knocked on her door. She opened the door. “Come with me, it’s time to eat,” Drake said. “I’m not hungry.” She spoke. “It doesn’t matter, they told me to bring you downstairs and if you refuse, they will come up here and force you down.” He said moving out of the way. “Please.” &nb
$Chapter Chapter 32 9 months later Ivy was two days past her due date, every day seemed to go like a blur. She didn’t care to live, she avoided people, she avoided anything about the dark dwellers. Quinn became overly protective of her and the baby. He wanted to make sure the baby was cared for, and he wanted Ivy and the baby secured so that no one could take them away from him. He had plans for them. Ivy would be forced into making a blood pact with the dark dwellers, he wasn’t going to let her go, she was too precious to them, her blood alone could make them stronger, she could produce more dark dwellers, the baby a boy could bring forth an army of strong men that could destroy the white dwellers without even knowing what to do. “Ow,” Ivy said trying to stand but the pain was almost unbearable. &n
“Nothing,” Quinn growled. “I am trying to contain one of my dwellers that had a baby recently, and she is confused.” He said looking at the dwellers all around. “We don’t want to have this war right now.” “Seems to me she doesn’t want to go with you I think we’ll take her and the child into custody.” Nick snapped stepping beside Ivy. “Unless you rather start something that we hadn’t finished before Quinn.” “You know Nick, you and I have a duel to square why don’t you tell your other Dwellers to step down and let us duel and see where we end up.” He mused. “I seem to remember the last battle I won.”
“Good, so we can do this in a few hours, you will stay here.” He said opening a door to a room. “After that, I will arrange a getaway, but like I said you will have to keep going otherwise Quinn will find you.” “Okay.” She said walking into the room with Evan. “I will be back in a little while with another Elder to help me, after that, I will have to summon Quinn and Nick to be witnesses, unfortunately.” “They have to be here to see it?” she said with a frown. “Yeah, I am sorry.” “But it was only Dr
Ivy’s eyes jerked open, Nick cradled her. She looked down at the dagger still in her stomach, pulling her out she healed her wound. “Ivy you're alive!” Nick said touching her face. “He must never know.” She said before disappearing and reappearing at the train station. She wasn’t sure where she was going, she remembered what Drake said, she had to keep moving. She had to run as long as she can. She knew Quinn would find out she was alive and would come after her, and when he did they would fight and she would have to kill him, or he would succeed and kill her this time. She prayed that her son would be safe and grow up not knowing he was a Shadow Dwe
Samuel didn’t want to answer him on that one, but he was right. If the dark dwellers surrendered to the white dwellers then it would be over for everyone. But hell he didn’t care; he was tired of this game. Ivy listened to the fighting; it was dying down so she knew it was almost time for her to die. She didn’t want to, but she wasn’t going to have a choice in the matter. “Quinn?” she whispered, hoping he was still alive. “I’m still alive, are you okay?” “I’m dying slowly still but something is coming and I don’t know what it is.” She said wanting to touch him but h
Ivy wanted to get up and kill him; if it wasn’t for him she would have had a safe life. Well, it was her fault since she wanted to go out and take a walk. But she only was out for a little while. She didn’t do anything wrong that night, and he just happened to be there. “So your greed is what made you kill my life.” She said getting to her knees again. “So I am going to give you a little reminder of what you’re not getting.” She said sitting up. “You see my son bound my powers.” She said almost wanting to stand but her body was gone. “Oh look she might have some fight in her.” He laughed. “Don’t bother, because they are coming now.&
“You seem so sure for yourself.” Elder John growled. “But yet no one has come around to try and stop me from doing what I have done to you.” He said looking down at her. “You are almost ready to go outside, once there the war will start. Everyone will come and try and take you this is going to become a fun and entertaining game.” Ivy wanted to show him that she was stronger than he gave her credit for, but she was still strapped down to the table, and he wasn’t about to let her try and get up. Her body burned from all the torture and she was already coughing up blood. She knew her time was limited. She wanted to reach out to Quinn to tell him this was all a trap and that he would die if he came to her. She didn’t want to see another one die for her. She felt powerless but she didn’t want a
Ivy tried fighting Samuel when he strapped her down to the table but he was stronger than she was. Ivy tried biting him, but Samuel was a lot faster than he was and he was able to finish strapping her down before Elder John came downstairs. “She strapped down?” Elder John asked coming down with a few more people. “Yeah,” Samuel said moving away from Ivy. “She awake?” he asked touching her face. “Good I want her to experience every painful moment.” He said checking her eyes. “Stay with us, Ivy.” He said putting the dagger next to her head. “I want Quinn to feel this too; you said he bound himself to her correct?”&nb
Ivy still was afraid about what was coming; she wasn’t sure where they were going to do this ritual and who was going to be there. She wanted to be strong, but she was alone in all of this, she wish she had the strength to run but she couldn’t. Samuel touched her face, he wanted to kiss her, something about her made him attracted to her. Closing his eyes, he had to stay focused; he knew Elder John wouldn’t allow him to feel for her. “Are you ready to go and see Elder John?” Samuel said moving away from her. Ivy looked down at her hands, she didn’t want to face the beast, but she knew he wouldn’t wait for her all day. She had to go through this whether she was willing or not. Closing her eyes she thought about her life before this. She
Ivy jerked her eyes open, the sun was shining through the window. She wasn’t sure what time it was. She sat up, the room was still spinning so she didn’t bother to try and get out of bed until Samuel came into the room with the tea. He didn’t come for a few hours and when he did he didn’t say anything. She drank the tea without much effort; Samuel helped her out of bed. She managed to walk down the stairs with help, but she still felt like crap. She tried to reach Quinn but he didn’t respond to her. The house was a lot less noisy today, she didn’t mind that. She wanted to go outside and see if she could get some air, but she knew she wouldn’t get that, so she didn’t bother to ask.
Ivy’s hands trembled; she didn’t want to do what they wanted. She wanted to get up and show them that they had no control over her. But her body was weak, she was weak. She was barely able to drink the tea without help from Marcie. Marcie hugged Ivy, “I’m sorry they are doing this to you.” She whispered. “Then help me get out of here, help me get to your son,” Ivy whispered. “Get up.” Samuel grabbed Ivy pulling her to her feet. “You need to eat something and you need a bath.” He said pulling her out of the room. “We’re going to the kitchen; today you are going to eat something more than the soup.” He said impatiently. “I
Ivy opened her eyes; the room was bright, meaning the sun was up. She was still weak but she was able to sit up on her own. “Quinn?” she quizzed to see if she could hear him. “Yeah love, are you okay?” he questioned. “I feel weird still, but was I dreaming?” she said looking around. “No, I don’t know what they have planned for you, but you need to get away from them as soon as you can. I will let Nick go, but you have to come back to me.” “I still don’t trust you either,” Ivy said pushing the covers off o
Ivy opened her eyes; she wanted everything to be a dream. She wanted to be lying next to Nick and everything to be back to normal, but she was in a dark room. She wasn’t sure if she would have enough strength to get out of bed, but she needed to find out if they found out any more information on the whereabouts of Nick and if Quinn had tried to attack them again. Getting out of bed, the room started to spin, so Ivy sat down for a moment to regain her ground. She wasn’t sure why she felt drugged but it didn’t matter. Getting to her feet she felt for the wall, and then for the doorknob. Slowly pulling open the door, the house was dark and she didn’t hear anyone moving around or talking. She still felt very weak, but she continued along the wall in hopes
