Rafaela knew that if she didn't leave immediately, she would end up vomiting in front of all those people.

"Excuse me," she said to Ethan, standing up and leaving immediately.

Ethan stared at her seriously, not understanding her sudden change of mood as she hurriedly left, as if she were running away from something. Even if he wanted to say something, he couldn't, because she was already far out of sight.

Entering the nearest restroom, she immediately started vomiting in the sink, emptying everything in her stomach. Of all the moments to start feeling the symptoms of pregnancy, this was the worst. How would she return to the table if just thinking about the dish served made her stomach turn again?
