Joanna's POV
"Damn, am loving that smile." Harmony winked at her as she walked past us.
"I could swear that smile was for me." Tony scoffed.
"Nah, it wasn't." Harmony smirked.
"It was." Tony beamed, with a mischievous smile on his face.
I could see what he was doing, trying to rile Harmony up. I need to stop this before fists start flying, and trust me, it will. If you've been around these two for a while you would know am not joking.
"Guys," I called, no answer.
"Hey Guys," I tried to get their attention, but none gave me a listening ear as they were both busy arguing over a girl who didn't know they existed.
"Shut up children!" I yelled and offered them both a smack upside the head to get their attention, and from the way, they were both glaring at me, I guess I succeeded.
"What the---
"Children?" They both queried at the same time, scary expressions being sent my way.
*Shit am in trouble* I thought as I could see smoke rising from their ears. I did not think this through.
"How can you call this children?" Tony screeched, gesturing to himself, again.
*Why the hell does he always do that* I speculated rolling me eyes
"Babe, does this look like a child's body to you?" Harmony grunted. "Did you take a good look at this face, look at this face before saying such."
I moaned, already tired of their blabbering, "Alright, alright am sorry men, can we please go to class now?"
************
I have this class alone, no Harmony or crazy Tony, but at least I could rest my brain a bit, their arguments were actually beginning to get on my nerves.
I shook my head and walked to class, which I was already late for by the way because of those two morons.
As I walked into the class, I noticed, it was almost full except for one empty seat beside the new girl and in case you haven't figured am very nervous around new people because I don't know how they would react to my presence, remember when I sneezed in Tony's face on my first day, yeah that's a definition of how nervous I can be.
"Well, here goes nothing," I muttered, summoning courage and headed to the empty seat.
"Excuse me," I said to the new girl with a small smile. "Anyone here?"
"Nah, no one, you can have a seat." She gleamed.
I felt warmed to her already. "Thanks." I smiled and sat down.
The teacher immediately gave us work to do, which I loved, by the way, note the sarcasm, who even brought the idea of maths anyway, I just wished I could meet him or her and give that fool a piece of my mind.
I was done with mine in less than 5 minutes, cue the hair flip, I glanced by my side to see the new girl already done with hers, *wow she is smart too* I thought, amazed.
She twirled and caught me staring. *Great, now she'll think am crazy* I wondered, internally face-palming. Presently, you see what I mean when I said am not good at meeting new people.
She cleared her throat and gave me a look, "What's your name cutie?"
Surprised she wanted to know my name, I choked on my own saliva which had me coughing and at the same time scrambling for my bag to get the water bottle I carried around with me for this sort of emergencies.
"Are, are you okay?" She asked, bestowing on everyone a look to continue with what they were doing, even the teacher seemed, caught in the act, before proceeding with her lesson and didn't spare us another glance.
Still busy drinking the bottle of water, I nodded. After I had felt I had enough, I screwed back the cap of the water bottle and smiled at her as I answered.
"Joanna, Joanna Alex."
"Nice name." She smirked. "Pretty unusual though, I don't think I've met someone with that name before, by the way, am Tenda, Tenda Black."
"Same with yours." I giggled. "I didn't even know such a name exists."
"Yeah, I get that a lot." She chuckled, "my mom wanted a unique name and she said I was very little when I was born, I mean more little than normal and I looked so fragile."
"She wanted to name me Fragile though but Dad didn't agree so he suggested another relative word like Tender and Mom agreed to it so instead of it being Tender, I was named Tenda which actually sounds the same but just different last letters," She ended.
"Wow, that's an amazing story." I smiled, and at that moment the bell rang for lunch, I handed in my work and glanced at Tenda.
"See you around," I waved, and headed out of class.
"Nope, you ain't ditching me like that, am stuck with you for as long as we both are in this school," She told, blocking me afterward with a serious expression.
"Okay then, let's go to the cafeteria and meet my crazy friends." I blurted and showed her the way.
We stepped into the noisy room called the cafeteria which became silent upon our arrival with all eyes focused on us.
"Is it always like this?" Tenda whispered in my ear sounding amused.
"Not really, it's always like this on your first day though, plus they are just shocked to see you with me," I replied in a shrug as we ignored everyone and strode straight to get our food.
We then wandered to my usual table to see Harmony already eating or should I say swallowing his food because his mouth wasn't moving as he did so, just opened it, throws food in, swallowed it, and the cycle continues.
He perked up when he heard our footsteps and broke into a smile that was kind of disgusting because I could see the scrunched up food in his mouth which revealed he was chewing the food.
"Hey ladies," he spoke, food crumbs falling off his mouth.
"Hey hun," I gagged, taking my seat, to smirk at him as he granted me a glare.
"Hy." Tenda waved and set her food on the table.
"What's your name baby." Harmony winked, this made me gag, again.
"The name's Tenda, and no I don't wanna hook up with you," She responded, smiling.
"Cough_Burn_Cough," I smirked as he put on an angry expression.
When I thought things were moving well as the three of us were laughing and enjoying our food the horses appeared and yes I called them that, you'll see why.
"Hey cuties, Harmony," Tony greeted and sent us all smile as he took a seat, in which Ifeanyi and Blake followed suit which gathered attention to our table.
"Why." I groaned gazing upwards as Tony wiggled his eyebrows suggestively.
"So what are you folks doing?" Ifeanyi quizzed, stealing a biscuit crumb from my plate that earned him a glare from me.
"You know, what they call eating?" I answered sarcastically, in a question.
"Feisty partner." Ifeanyi scoffed and sniggered at me.
"She is indeed feisty." Tony nodded in confirmation.
"Stop it, children," Blake mocked giving them both a warning stare. He is the quiet and thoughtful one in their midst and the one I was cool with.
Tenda chuckled beside me as she was currently being entertained by the drama playing before her.
I suddenly remembered she was actually there because for a moment I forgot she was by my side.
"Guys this is Tenda," I introduced while I munched on my food and glared at Ifeanyi as he made another attempt to take something from my plate.
"Hya people." She blushed, as Tony lent her a wink.
*Is that-- does she? well, that's cute* I thought and peeked at them strangely as I felt a tiny twinge of jealousy.
"Well, well, if it isn't Joanna," a voice squeaked behind me that had me sighing. I could recognize that voice even from a nine-mile radius because it had the ability to destroy your eardrums and it belonged to none other than the chief robot Stephanie Greene.
Her name suited her personality though hence she turned a dark shade of green whenever she was angry and by the way, Green is my nickname for her.
"Hello there Green." I gave a fake smile and waved.
"Do not call me that!" She screeched, *see? she hated it* This generated a snigger from me as I was sure it angered her more.
"Tony boo what are you Blake and Ifeanyi doing here sitting with these lowlifes?" She challenged, attempting to sound sweet but failed by the way because she sounded like a raccoon giving birth.
"Well let's see." Tony sighed. "One you ain't my girlfriend so don't call me that."
"Two, you ain't my mum which means I don't care what you say," Ifeanyi continued, with a smirk.
"And three you are turning green, Green," I added with a smirk.
"Burn!" Harmony shouted and high-fived me as the whole cafeteria burst out laughing.
"Lastly, no one loves you baby." Tenda laughed, together with Tony.
"Bye green." I waved at her and beamed when she screamed and stormed off with her fellow robots on her heels.
*Mehn... I love these people* I thought.

Thanks for choosing my book. It is well appreciated.
Joanna's POVSchool went on with much drama as it always does and before I knew it we were in our senior year or should I say final year of secondary school (high school) and that's if we pass our final exams, If not we have to stay back another year and retake the exams. In my country the final year students don't write the usual school exams, instead we write the West African Examination Council general exams or as we like to call it 'WAEC'.Final year students like us don't learn because this whole year is occupied with notes and practicals together with enough free time to read for the exams.Special well behaved students are given authorities at this level to control other students or as we like to call it 'Rule the School'.Most idiots struggle to get this position by all means but a girl like me who hates attention doesn't give a shot about that.&nbs
Joanna's POVLaying with the Love of my life which is my bed, I heard voices coming from downstairs..*Please stop, please, please stop* I internally begged trying to cover my ears the best I could and sleep in but no the sounds increased, as if it's possible. If you are wondering why am still sleeping maybe you can guess. Yeah it's saturday, oh yeah oh yeah. I silently sang doing a little happy dance, since the noise couldn't let me continue my sleep."Mom!" I heard Elvis whine from downstairs. He is an internal 3 year old trust me.Groaning, I looked at the time on my wall clock and noticed its still 12:15pm. Don't look at me like that I need my beauty sleep, but I don't get the chance to sleep long enough because of freaking school.I groaned again once more and got up from my bed as I promised it that I was coming back while giving it a kiss.
Joanna's POVGroaning and murmuring like a deranged monster I trudged as fast as I could which currently seems like a snails pace along the hallway of doom which you all know as the school's hallway."Hunie pie!" I cringed inwardly as I heard Tenda say while she bounced energetically towards me. I love that bitch but sometimes her cheerful attitude can really get to me, especially at a time like this."Hey," I mumbled weakly, waving at her with the little strength left in me."Woah, Woah, Woah!" She exclaimed to which I just smiled."What the hell happened to you," She asked gazing at me with concern written all over her face."Mother nature happened," I replied, wincing as I felt another cramp pass through me."Awwwn, sorry babes." She sighed, before hugging me.I hugged her back patting her on the back as I heard

Joanna's POV "Thank GOD it's Friday!" Harmony yelled in a sing-song voice, that shattered my earbuds. "Dude! you're destroying my hearing capacity." I scowled while I rubbed at them in a bid to reduce the impact of his horrible tone. "What's with you bitch?" He questioned. "Why are you acting all grumpy this early morning, mother nature still disturbing you?" "Nah." I shook my head in reply. "It's just lack of sleep." "Why, did you have hot wild sex last night?" He wiggled his eyebrows. "I don't even know the reason." I shrugged. "And eeew, who the hell on GOD's green earth has sex during their monthly flow." "Well, since you denied it, place a smile on that pretty ass face of yours and dance with me," He spoke before he swayed his hips from left to right. I chuckled at his silly ways and joined him in singing. "Thank GOD i
Joanna's POVIts currently morning, I thought and groaned before I tried opening my eyes but it won't freaking open.Okay I'm currently blind, time to panic, I thought as I screamed."Somebody help, my eyes are stuck, they won't open!""Shut up bitch I'm trying to sleep, " I heard Elvis grumble from his room which was after mine.I rubbed my eyes which finally helped as it opened, but I regretted it later because of the brightness that streamed through the open window.
Joanna's POVWhat's in there? I asked after I shut the door behind her."Alcohol, nails, different colors of nail polishes, oh wait, all colors, 5 packets of pure bliss, 5 packets of that milky popcorn they sell at that junction which you love, strawberry and vanilla ice-cream and some clothes to exchange with you," She blurted all in one breath as she dumped the bag in the middle of the living room."Wow!" I laughed after which I stared at her, dumbfounded that she actually brought all this just for a sleepover. "You really planned this""Yep, I've been planning this for actually a week now which is why I didn't let you back out of it as I was sure you were about to," She spoke and gave me a knowing look.I rolled my eyes at her perky attitude and started unloading her duffel bag."Why is this place so quiet? She questioned as she took note of the silence. "
Joanna's POVWell----- I drifted off and tried to prolong the moment."Spit it out girl," She blurted, sounding impatient to which I rolled my eyes."Do you remember that guy you pointed out for me at the party? I asked hesitantly as I hoped she wouldn't remember."Yeah, the one with dreadlocks who looked like a model right? She winked."Yeah, that one," I confirmed with a nod, a bit disappointed that she remembered."So_"So_"Don't make me squeeze it out of you young lady because trust me I will," She growled with a scary look on her face which scared me because I knew she would."Okay psycho, calm down." I laughed, "I talked to him, and then we danced."Details Jo, I need the details," She groaned."It wasn't just any dance, I grinded on his groin," I s
Announcement!!I've received several comments about what transpired in Chapter 2 (Ignoring Hoes)Some are saying I took it too far, others are saying that's unrealistic, while few others said I should delete and rewrite it as it seems harsh. What I have to say is, I'm not deleting or removing that part, becauseFirstly: It's my story.Secondly: I've edited in, and that's as far as I can go with it.Lastly and importantly: It is the only original part of my book. Meaning, it happened to me back in my high school days, sadly, I couldn't stand up for myself, which is why I wrote that and made Joanna speak up and put the teacher in her place.Shit happens in this life, most things you find unbelievable are taking place in areas you don't know about.I'm sorry if it seems disrespectful to anyone, but it's staying that way.If you a
Joanna's POV"Come over here you two." I smiled and motioned over the two most protective friends I had and still have. They didn't blink or waste a second after I spoke because in a flash I was in the middle of an emotional hug as Harmony kept whispering sweet things in my ear while Tenda sobbed on my shoulder."I love you both so much." I sighed and gave them each a kiss on their foreheads as my heart squeezed in affection. They pulled away a little over a minute later and Tenda wiped away her tears before she tried to give me a stern look as she spoke."Never do that again young lady, or I swear I would journey to the beyond and drag you back here to spank your ass, got that? She glared with fresh tears breaking through once more, to which I nodded and pulled her for a hug of mine."Pave way for the future sister in-law." Fahvour grinned as she walked over to us to
Joanna's POVThey both whipped around, till their eyes landed on me."Where have you been young lady," Mom scolded with a glare I didn't take to heart, due to the happiness I saw dancing in her eyes."A hug would suffice." I chuckled, seeing as I had already expected that reaction from her."GOD I've missed you," She croaked, and immediately pulled me in for a hug."Its okay mum." I laughed into her neck when I felt her squeeze me tight."Hey Dad," I called in a wide smile at him over mom's shoulder, to which he responded with that same look Francis had on his face when my eyes landed on him <disbelief>."It's okay Dad, am real," I voiced out, and I guessed that was all the reassurance he needed because the next thing I knew, I was being hugged by the two most important people in my life."My beautiful da
Frank's POVIf I didn't catch sight of her beautiful brown eyes as she blinked, I would have dismissed it, but instead, my heart froze, my breath hitched, I was afraid to move, breathe even, because of the fear that I could wake up and realize it was all a dream or my imagination. It seemed she guessed my turmoil, hence her eyes flew open once more, and this time it stayed that way. I saw her lower them from where they were focused, on the ceiling and then slowly, they found its way to my face."Oh my GOD, oh GOD." I sighed in gratitude and relief as my body relaxed when the realization of her being awake hit me."Oh my GOD, Oh GOD, you are awake,Ana you are awake. Oh GOD I've missed you," I spoke, in a bid to confirm I was in no way dreaming and buried my face into her shoulder as I hugged her, after her eyes remained on me, those beautiful eyes I missed
Frank's POVI nodded in response to the doctor's question as my brain shifted back to space mode while I watched him do his normal routine check up."Any news? I asked curiously, my voice emotionless."She's fine." He smiled, "The shock has passed, so she's all good. It's left to her to wake up on her own whenever her brain decides to""How about her memory? Elvis questioned, to which the doctor sighed."I can't say, its a 50/50 issue. Medically there's nothing wrong with her brain but there's a possibility that the brain kind of shut down as a result of too much information and flashbacks," He blurted."But on the bright side, it might just be a way for the brain to absorb the much information it received, resulting in the temporary shut down. So there's a possibility of her still retaining her memory. Like I said it's a 50/50 issue, it'
Frank's POVI regained consciousness a little over an hour later according to the nurses and was told I had a panic attack. When I asked about Joanna, it was relayed to me that she was admitted in the same hospital but in a different room.I immediately traced my steps to the location after I was told the room number and went straight in search of her, despite the protests of the nurses and other patients in the same ward with me, to have some rest. Now there I was sitting beside her bed as she lay still, the steady rise and fall of her chest plus the lack of wires connected to her, the only assurance she was asleep and not in a coma.I had been sat in that same position for hours. I refused to speak to anyone no matter how hard they tried, the nurses, the doctor, her parents,Elvis, even her friends, I spoke to no one. They tried to find out what happe
Joanna's POV. The first day I met him when he came home with Elvis from school. How he fought a boy in my class for calling me a stammerer when Elvis wasn't in there. How he accepted my friends and joined us in our every activities. Even when it was against his class he would be on our side, which would make Elvis happy and angry sometimes.I also recalled he would smile when he saw me and his eyes shine a bright colour. As little as we were then, he always made me feel special. He would always gang up with me during hide and seek games plus other activities against the others and that day wasn't an exception. From what my little brain could take note of, it was a good day, we all ca
Joanna's POV"You good Ana? He asked as he glanced briefly at me when he noticed my silence."Yeah," I replied with a shrug. "I'm just lost in thought""Okay then, get your head out of those silly thoughts, let's eat." He smiled. This shocked me as I looked around and realized we were already at the hotel. "Wow! That was fast!" I exclaimed"What are you waiting for, come on." He grinned, to which I shook my head and giggled when he held my hand after I had stepped out of the car."Why are you gigling? He questioned. "What's funny"I scoffed in response, in which he rolled his eyes and left me to go place our order while I looked for a good spot for us to sit as we entered the restaurant area of the hotel.I spotted one, and walked over. I got comfortable in my seat beside the window that overlooked the fun part
Joanna's POV"Umm, hmm." I cleared my throat not able to co-ordinate words to say."Umm, why are you putting on a suit in this blazing sun? I questioned, finally able to say something tangible. He didn't reply, rather he stood there grinning from ear to ear."What are you doing? I asked, my voice a bit louder and clearer this time."We my lady are going out on a date," He voiced out, and let himself in."Date? Why? I questioned a bit flustered as I tried to hide my blush."Follow me if you want to find out." He smirked, his words having an underlying meaning that I couldn't comprehend."Alright," I blurted out hesistantly. "Can you wait a bit while I put on something reasonable to wear?"You look fine to me." He winked, and I felt the invisible butterflies in my stomach begin their gymnastics.
