“So, you pushed him away.”

My eyes fly up to his face. “What?” I feel a puzzled look on my face.

“Last night, Marcus told me he can’t live here anymore. He has feelings for you. I tried to tell him it was just with him being so involved and that he would never be invited to the room again.”

I glance at where Marcus is sitting. He looks hurt.

“He was adamant he did have feelings. I told him it made no difference. You wouldn’t do it. You’re with me. He asked if he could kiss you, now, before you scream and kick-off, I agreed because had you kissed him back and wanted it, I would have let you go. I don’t miss the looks and the way you look at him, so if you did, I would have been fine, and it was also to show him how you feel.”
