Just who did he think he was? I pondered, finding it increasingly difficult to swallow the realization that I was on the verge of falling for him. All I needed now was to locate Kate and make a hasty exit. I had had enough.
Navigating through the crowd, I eventually spotted Kate. She giggled at something her admirer had whispered, tucking a few strands of hair behind her ears. As much as I longed to leave, I couldn’t bring myself to do it.
I didn’t want to spoil her evening. A vibration from my phone broke my concentration. Retrieving it from my purse, I noticed a missed call with my boss’s name displayed on the caller ID. I knew he would likely try calling again, but I also understood that I wouldn’t be able to answer it.
“Hi, gorgeous,” a deep voice purred from behind me. When I turned to face the source of the voice, I felt a wave of disgust wash over me as his eyes roamed over my body, accompanied by a lecherous smirk on his lips.
“Let go of me!” I demanded, forcefully pulling my hand from his grip.
He appeared taken aback, and I could sense the collective gaze of the other partygoers on both of us. His fists clenched, and it was evident that my rejection had humiliated him, but I remained unfazed.
“You have no idea who you’re dealing with,” he growled as we locked eyes.
“Whatever,” I retorted, walking away.
At last, I found my way to the restroom. As I approached one of the nearby sinks, I turned on the faucet, then reached into my purse to retrieve my phone. An incoming call from my boss appeared on the screen, as I had expected, and I reluctantly accepted it.
“Mr. Wright?” I nervously called, my heart racing.
Although I often portrayed indifference, the truth was I cared deeply about my job and dreaded the thought of being fired by my boss. Losing my job would mean I couldn’t cover my mother’s expenses. This made me aware that, by the end of the party, I needed to form a valuable connection or capture the attention of a wealthy individual.
“You’re fired!” his voice broke through the phone, and my heart sank as soon as I heard those words.
“Please, sir, grant me another chance. My mother…” I pleaded, but my words were abruptly cut off.”
Shit! My phone died just as I was pleading for my job. I knew I needed a place to charge it and a lot of convincing if I wanted to secure my position. Outside, the sounds of music and laughter still filled the air, but I couldn't bear the thought of returning to the party.
I decided to stay where I was, avoiding the risk of running into the blue-eyed man I had noticed earlier. He was undeniably handsome, but I didn't want to take any chances. My initial assumption that he was interested in me had been wrong.
Audibly sighing, I tucked my hair behind my ears just as the doorknob turned, grabbing my attention. My heart skipped a beat as I stared at the person entering through the mirror's reflection. It was the same man who had issued a threat. His eyes seized me up and down with a disturbing hunger, and he smirked, which filled me with disgust.
His cold, black eyes locked onto mine, and he started to approach, unfastening his belt, causing his pants to fall loosely to the floor. Dread washed over me as I realized the dangerous situation I was now in.
"What are you doing?" I asked in a panic as I instinctively moved backward until my back met the sink.
I knew all too well what he intended, and the horrifying realization that he was attempting to assault me right there and then left my legs trembling. There was no way I would allow him to touch me or violate my virginity. I had made the choice to remain chaste until marriage.
"Not so feisty now, are you?" he taunted as he advanced toward me, his gaze filled with lust, fixating on my chest.
His eyes radiated desire as he tried to grab my breasts, but I forcefully pushed his hands away. His gaze locked onto mine, and while I trembled with fear, he appeared to relish in it. Before I could comprehend his actions, he seized my chin and kissed me forcefully, his tongue invading my mouth. I retaliated by biting him.
"You...!" he cursed and slapped me so hard across the face that the taste of iron filled my mouth.
He seized my neck, causing me to struggle for breath, while planting unwelcome kisses along my neck. Tears welled up in my eyes as he started to tear my dress and pinned my hands against the wall. I attempted to push him away, but he quickly noticed and another sharp slap landed on my cheek. He was far stronger than I was, and I knew I couldn’t prevent him from having his way with me.
“Please, stop,” I managed to whisper, but he hardly glanced at me before grabbing my chin forcefully.
“I will fuck you so hard that you cum every last drop.” He swore as his lustful eyes rested on my lips.
"You heard the young lady, let her go."
Both of us turned toward the source of the voice, and a sigh of relief escaped my lips when my eyes met the blue-eyed man from earlier. I had never felt happier or more relieved in my life. Even though he stood mostly in the shadows, his eyes were unmistakable, and I knew it was him.
"Hey, why don't you go back to the party and forget about what happened here?" he suggested.
The blue-eyed man didn't respond but instead stepped forward with a serious expression. "Do you know who I am?" he asked, and the man who had been holding me immediately released his grip.
"Mr. Alistair, I'm so sorry," he pleaded, much to my surprise.
I attempted to speak, but no words would come out. The name Alistair rang a bell. I knew I had heard it or read it somewhere, and he did indeed seem familiar. I racked my brain in an attempt to recall where I had encountered that name before but came up empty.
"What is your name?" Mr. Alistair asked as he approached the man who had nearly attempted to assault me.
"Please, forgive me," the man pleaded.
"Your name!!!" Mr. Alistair demanded, clearly growing impatient and annoyed.
The assaulter finally replied, "My name is Ryker," but my focus remained fixed on Mr. Alistair.
"Your family owns Evans Corp, right?" Mr. Alistair asked, and Ryker hesitantly nodded. "Good, now leave... I shall deal with you later," Mr. Alistair ordered, and Ryker hastily made his exit.
"I had it under control," I said to him, wearing a frown on my face.
His eyes studied me for a moment before he glanced around. "Clearly," he remarked and took a step closer. "Remind me, was it when he grabbed your chin so hard or when he slapped you?" he inquired.
"If you hadn't come in here, I might have taken action," I asserted, even though deep down, I knew there wasn't much I could have done.
"Hmm," he mumbled. "So you didn't need my help?"
"Yes."
"And yet you called for help," he remarked.
"I didn't call for help."
"So you moaned for help then?" he asked, much to my annoyance.
"You know what, I'm leaving," I said as I reached for my purse and attempted to move. My legs wobbled, and I stumbled, falling into his embrace, colliding against his chiseled chest.
He gazed down at me, a smirk playing on his lips. "Is it just me, or are you becoming rather desperate for my attention?"
"Desperate?" I muttered, glaring at him while he kept his arms wrapped around me. I made an effort to push him away and walk off, but his grip only tightened.
"Stop moving," he suggested as he looked into my eyes. He leaned in closer, and I could feel my heart racing and my throat tightening. "You're as naked as a new born," he whispered softly.
I suddenly realized I was without my clothes, which had escaped my notice in my curiosity about his identity. An overwhelming sense of embarrassment washed over me as he held me close, his warmth and a pleasant scent enveloping me. He kindly removed his jacket and draped it around me, while our eyes locked with one another.
ALISTAIR:A smirk played on my lips as her cheeks reddened with embarrassment. Even though she couldn't bring herself to admit it, I sensed a hint of relief in her. As I wrapped the coat around her, I gently released my hold on her waist, but she remained still.I raised an eyebrow, taken aback by her unexpected reaction. I had anticipated a punch coming my way, but it never came. Instead, her gaze bore into mine, as if trying to peer into my soul. Initially, she appeared lost, but suddenly, anger replaced her confusion, and before I could react...*Slap!*A sharp sting coursed through me from the impact of her slap. As I looked at her, all I could think was how remarkably bold and audacious she was. It wasn't annoyance that I felt; on the contrary, I was intrigued and fascinated. Throughout my life, I had been treated like royalty, and almost everyone had feared me, doing everything to stay on my good side. Yet, this stranger was an exception."What was that for?" I complained, but s
I woke to the sound of my alarm and noticed the beauty from the night before was gone. I knew she was indeed beautiful, even though I didn’t want to admit it to her. Jumping out of bed and grabbing a towel, I spotted my empty vodka bottle on the table. Despite my irritation at the staff for not removing it, I knew I was running out of time.I had to return home and prepare for work. While I trusted my assistant to handle things at my company, I preferred to be there myself. I had recently taken over the company under my name and needed to get to know my employees. As I passed the table where I’d placed my watch last night, I paused. Why?My table stood empty, completely devoid of any items. My wristwatch, however, was conspicuously absent. I began to wonder where it might have disappeared to, when suddenly, a thought crossed my mind. What if she had taken the watch? No, 'taken' didn't do justice to the situation. What if she had stolen it? I clenched my fist tightly, and a frown crept
CHLOE:Waking up, I shielded my eyes from the sunlight that peered through the curtains. A subtle yawn escaped my lips as I sat up and stretched. My eyes fell on a pair of men's trousers lying on the table, away from the bed, and my breath hitched. I wondered what in the world was going on before I heard stirrings from behind me. Turning around, I locked eyes with a man - the same stranger I had met last night, the blue-eyed heir to a billionaire. I couldn’t believe I was lying beside him. Though I wanted to scold myself for being in this situation, I couldn’t help feeling exhilarated. His eyes were the most beautiful I had ever seen, and I questioned whether everyone, including men, fell for his looks. My phone buzzed on the bedside table where it was plugged into the socket. It was a message from my best friend. She seemed to be freaking out, knowing she had left me alone at the party to have a fling with someone. To be honest, I was too surprised to be angry at her. I knew she wou
The car pulled up before a grand mansion, leaving me in awe at its sheer magnificence. I'd never witnessed such opulence before. Within the premises lay sprawling flower gardens and an expansive pool that seemed to stretch like a stadium. I marveled at the grandeur and wondered how long it took to create this beauty. The chauffeur opened the door, and I stepped out."Welcome, Miss Chloe," Jayden greeted as he approached. I'd become acquainted with him—Alistair's companion, always adorned in his black Italian suit.It had been three days since Alistair appeared at my house, informing me of my move to live with him as his girlfriend. He'd given me time to bid farewell to my friend and mother, presenting the ultimatum of either becoming his girlfriend or repaying the full worth of his watch—a debt I couldn't fulfill.Kate saw the situation positively, thrilled at the thought of me dating a billionaire. I omitted the document and the watch from her knowledge. As for my mother, I lied, exp
ALISTAIR: Seated in my study, the table hosting a bottle of rum, I exhaled a cloud of cigarette smoke before snuffing out the ember in a saucer. A pounding headache throbbed through my temples as I rubbed them, my gaze fixed upon the file report before me. Two days had elapsed since I tasked my assistant with uncovering every possible detail about her, the beauty whose disregard for my warnings disrupted a meeting out of pure curiosity. I had anticipated a background of wealth and prominence given her behavior at my party, yet the findings revealed her belonging to a lower social class. Nevertheless, it didn't alter the fact of her allure. While I knew several women who might surpass her in a beauty contest, there was something singular about her that captivated me. I couldn't comprehend the hold she had on me, but not a day passed without her crossing my thoughts. I wondered what she looked like, beneath all those fabrics and under the moonlight, in a stemming pool, with only lin
CHLOE: Waking to a sudden warmth, I was drawn to the window with a wide smile, feeling relief that winter was finally relenting. The snow had stopped a welcomed pause in its constant fall. But I knew the warmth was more from sealed windows and a cozy duvet. Stepping outside promised a chilling experience. My neck ached from an uncomfortable sleep, prompting a self-administered massage. I couldn't help but wish Alistair might arrange for a masseuse. A knock interrupted my thoughts as a maid entered with an expressionless face. We exchanged silent glances, neither of us willing to break the quiet. I questioned her purpose with my eyes, but she remained silent, almost as if sworn to frustrate me by her indifference. The unspoken tension between us left the morning tinged with unexpected emotions. "So?" I questioned, my brow furrowing in a mix of confusion and irritation. The silent maid had managed to successfully ruin my morning. "Mister Alistair instructed me to assist with your ba
Navigating relationships can be a wild ride. There's this one experience that sticks out. It barely lasted three days before he ended it via text, stating that he wasn't up for a non-sexual relationship. It hurt because I genuinely cared for him.I had a huge crush on him since fourth grade, and when he confessed his feelings after college, I was relieved. I thought he was the one I wanted to share my first intimate experience with, but when the time came, something didn't feel right, so I backed out. Now, with Alistair's unexpected comment, it felt different. Unlike before, I wasn't as annoyed. I couldn't tell if his question was a tease or something more genuine. I tried to respond, but the words just wouldn't come out.Alistair grabbed my right hand and slowly led it to his lower body, while he stared at me, his face an inch from mine and I could feel his breath on my face, literally taste it. My heartbeat ran faster as my hands trailed down his body until I felt his D**k in my gra
Gazing out the window, my fingers tapped rhythmically against the pane, accompanying the chirps of the birds. Noon had arrived, and soon it would be dinner, but my mind wasn’t occupied with thoughts of food. Instead, I found myself consumed by worry for my mother. As time passed, my curiosity intensified, aching for answers. If only he hadn't confined me, deploying guards and placing restrictions on my movements. I longed to sprint down the stairs, greet a waiting chauffeur, and storm into his office to confront him, even if it felt like a potentially reckless move.Though we were both lusting after each other, I knew for a fact that we both hated each other as well. Although I felt butterflies in my stomach whenever he was close by and the scent of his minty breath filled my nostrils, it was more of an uncomfortable feeling of being extremely close to him. It marked the first time I had engaged in something I never desired, yet, in a peculiar way, I couldn’t deny the wanting that lin
