Kiara:
“Well, Niklaus, how about you show me what you can do?” The man said looking at Klaus. Niklaus pulled me to stand behind him, his body tensing as he looked at the man who was suddenly standing in front of us, a smirk on his face. I couldn’t help but frown as my hands shook, this being the first time I’ve ever encountered anything like this.
Children from around us hid behind their mother, fear in their eyes, fathers and young men kept their women or children well hidden behind them, protecting them from this man who was smirking a calm expression on his face despite the fear he knew he was radiating. Niklaus kept his hand in front of me, telling me not to get closer. I didn’t move from behind him, knowing that whatever we were about to deal with right now was nowhere near being sane or normal.
“You finally came out of your hiding place” Niklaus said calmly, though I could tell that he was nowhere near being calm.
Alessio:“Uncle Xander, I really don’t know what your wife is planning, but she suddenly decided to claim that I needed a secretary” I said looking at my uncle, he ran his fingers through his greyish hair, shaking his head in confusion.“What is it this time? She always seems to complain about something, what did my beloved Nermine say this time?” Uncle Xander asked raising an eyebrow, I chuckled, he loved his wife deeply I had to admit, their daughter was away in the States for studies, they had sent her when she turned eighteen, I asked why when we had better universities here in England, but I never got an answer.“The girl is a monster, she has unmade eyebrows” I said in a cocky voice making my uncle laugh, we were both at his house, sitting in the garden and drinking tea after we’ve had lunch, Aunt Nermine was somewhere out when I arrived, therefore I haven’t seen her.“Yes, she is a monster
Eliana:“I don’t even know how to walk in these” I said referring to the heels Mrs. Nermine wanted me to try on, their red color enchanting, but I couldn’t walk in them.“What girl doesn’t know how to walk wearing heels?” Mrs. Nermine asked frowning in confusion, her expression genuine.“Me?” I answered, though my answer sounded like a question, she nodded at me and encouraged me to wear the heels, I looked at them with worry in my eyes, fearing falling in them or breaking them, I would never be able to pay their price if they broke.“We’re going shopping after this. You need to look your very best when meeting my Alessio” Mrs. Nermine said casually, her eyes on my ankles as I wore the heels. She nodded at me to stand up and walk in them, I hesitated for a second before doing as told and standing up, taking a step forward and almost tripping on my weight as I walked like some penguin.
Alessio:“What now Jennifer?” I asked annoyed, she entered the office looking furious, her hair platinum white. Wearing a white shirt and a black skirt.“Alessio, the girl you hired doesn’t even know your system. She doesn’t know what you want or don’t want done, how you want it done” Jennifer said looking annoyed. I raised an eyebrow at her and she crossed her arms over her chest. Taking a deep annoyed breath waiting for me to respond.“You didn’t know my system or how things were done when we first hired you, and here you are, knowing everything after a short period of time…” I said looking down at the papers which were in front of me, Jennifer’s presence annoying me more than it normally would at that moment, the fact that she was questioning me over a decision that I made. It annoyed me “if there’s nothing else you’re going to rant about, please let me finish my work i
Eliana:“I just got out of the building” I said into the phone, Mrs. Nermine was waiting for my call to see if I messed everything up, I wasn’t dumb to do so, I had a debt to pay and I sure as hell didn’t have the money to pay it, I don’t even think I’ll ever have the amount I took from her to pay her back for it.“And? Did he ask anything? You didn’t tell him about anything right?” Mrs. Nermine asked quickly, I rolled my eyes and sighed, did she really think that I was that stupid? The woman was clearly underestimating me, for known reasons, yes, I didn’t have a degree, and I took a debt from a woman I didn’t technically know, but I wasn’t that stupid.Okay, maybe I was.Don’t judge me!“Eliana?” Mrs. Nermine asked when I didn’t respond to her, too busy having my own mind battle to respond to the woman who was now speaking to herself as I tried to sort
“What? How are we going to get that amount of money?” I asked my brother. His head was buried in his hands, avoiding my eyes.“The only thing we have to sell is the house, but what are we going to do after that? We can’t live in a rent, and I still don’t have a job” I said looking my big brother in the eye, his eyes avoided mine and I sighed running my fingers through my hair. I walked toward the door, and opened it.“Eliana? Where are you going?” Nana asked looking at me, she walked toward the door. She had been the one to take care of us since we were little. Mum having left us at an early age and dad running away with his girlfriend.“I just need to get some air nana, I won’t be long” I said softly, I took her hands in mine and kissed them both. She nodded not saying a word, knowing that I needed to try and clear my thoughts on what Andrias did, I couldn’t process what he did, or how he w
Eliana:“Your job will be simple. You will go to the company as his secretary. I will tell Alessio that I hired you, you as a woman will do your best to make him fall in love with you and get him to marry you” Nermine said looking me in the eye. Her sky-blue eyes glistening making me gulp. I looked at the woman whose phone rang, she had made a call an hour ago and now she got another “you have one year to get everything done, if so, then your debt is paid”“And I leave after the wedding?” I asked to make sure. Everything in me told me not to trust the woman, but I was desperate and had no other option right now. Having no job, I couldn’t take any credit from the bank, and even if I did have a job, no bank would give me the amount Andrias needs to get out of this.“Yes, you don’t have to worry about anything after that. We’ll make sure that Alessio doesn’t follow you, as long as you don’t com
Eliana:“YOU DID WHAT?” Edward yelled at me catching everyone’s eyes as we walked.“Eddy!” I hissed at him to lower his voice. Anastasia’s eyes were wide in surprise at what I did and the sudden raise of tone from Edward.“Don’t ‘Eddy’ me. Are you out of your mind? Eliana, what the hell have you done?” Edward snapped at me and I sighed running my fingers through my hair. I understood his worry, he was practically my big brother. Therefore, I somewhat expected his reaction, I just didn’t really expect him to have it in public.“I had no other option, Edward! How on Earth did anyone expect me to leave my brother when the money was offered to me for this small task?” I asked Edward turning to face him. Anastasia took my hand in hers and gently squeezed it.“Eliana, it’s not that we don’t expect you to help your brother, but surely there was another wa
Alessio:“Do you want to tell me WHY I need a secretary Aunt Nermine?” I asked my aunt raising an eyebrow, my brown eyes looking into her blue ones.“Because, every business man needs one, she’ll organize your meetings, your schedules, you know, that kind of thing” Aunt Nermine answered smiling at me. I raised an eyebrow at her, trying to understand what she was going on about this time, especially since we hired a new girl two months ago. The thing about her was that she had her shares at the company, but her husband, my uncle, Uncle Xander, worked on them-ish, for her, who was I kidding, none of them worked for anything, my best friend and I did all the work, they technically got the outcome of it. Not that I minded though. But she’s lately been hiring the weirdest secretaries, always claiming that the other wasn’t good enough, one was too ‘old fashioned’ for her liking, one was not as thin as she needed to be, on

Alessio:“May I ask why the sudden change of decision?” Jennifer asked frowning, her brown hair straightened, more like burned, with a blow drier.“No reason, I felt like it was the right thing to do. Now, unless you want to lose your job completely, I do suggest that you go and pack your things to move to your new office” I said smiling sarcastically at Jennifer who looked like she was hit by a bus.The girl turned around and left the office without saying a word, I could tell that she was cursing me under her breath, but I couldn’t care less as I went back to reading the papers I had to sign today.“You told her, didn’t you?” Nick asked entering my office, he was the only one to enter the office without knocking the door or without giving any notice. But then again, he is my partner and best friend, he didn’t really need permission to enter the office. However, my eyes widened when I looked up at him
