Chapter 3

"Aunty daphne, what happened to me?? why am i here???" I staggered on trembling legs.

"Lara, calm down...you actually passed out in the morning and Den admitted you in the hospital..." She said in a gentle voice.

"Did he personally admitted me???" I asked her doubtfully.

She lowered her gaze and didn't answered me quite a while. I got my usual answer in her silence and i got used to it. He never cared for me even a bit for all these years and he will never do that in future. I smiled bitterly and drank some water and sat on the bed.

"Lara, drink some chicken soup. I personally prepared it for you.." She said and gave me a pleading look.

I can't refuse her because she was always kind to me and take care of me whenever I was ill. I always felt some comfort near her.

I asked her to hand me the bowl but she refused and feeded me on her own. I got some strength inside me after taking some delicious soup. Then i thanked her and slept for a while.

Aiden's POV

I hospitalized her and came back to the office. I finished all my board meetings and called aunty daphne to ask my so called wife's health contidition. After a few seconds she answered my call.

"Aunty daphne, did she wake up??" I asked her coldly.

"Dont worry.. she woke up just an hour ago and drank the chicken soup...." She replied in a low voice.

"What did the doctor say about her health?" I queried.

"As usual, she was complained for her poor health..." She sighed woefully.

This damn women....Didn't she take her healthy diet...what if granny knows about her health again...sure she would kill me....I should do something..now.....

I clenched my fists and gritted my teeth in anger. Then i controlled my rage and confirmed her "Aunty daphne, please don't share about her health to granny, I will take care of her personally...rest assured.."

"Den, this is the last time i forgive you for your reckless behavior...you are her husband and it's you...who is responsible for her health..." She taunted.

"Sure, you can trust me aunty..." I said her in a low voice.

"Aren't you coming to the hospital to see her..???" She sneered.

"I will take care of her after my office hours aunty...you can leave in the evening.." I told her gently..

"Well, come as soon as possible.." She replied.

"Aunty, did you told her the admission of the hospital...???" I asked.

"Den, why are pretending as if you don't care for her...?" She snapped.

"I don't like her...and i don't care for her..." I scowled.

"You are lying and fooling yourself den...just stop your egotism and give your heart a chance to love her..." She yelled and hung up the call.

Apart from granny, Aunty daphne is the only one who has the courage to cut off the call before me. Because she is the one, who cared and loved me for all these years other than my granny.

I loosen my tie and slammed the files upon the table...suddenly George opened the door and ran inside the room.... He collected the papers and files that fallen down and asked "Young Master....is everything...."

I cut off him and yelled "Leave me alone..."

He silently went out without uttering a word and closed the door.

Lara's POV

When i woke up, it should be midnight i think so...because the hospital was dark and silent. I got off from the bed and went to the restroom. I came out and looked around for aunty...but she was not there. I felt some emptiness in my heart as there was no one to care for me...except maggie. 

I sighed and walked towards the hospital bed to rest. Suddenly the door opened in a low sound. I was all alone in the ward and it made me to feel terrified. I was almost ready to shout for the help but a hot palm covered my mouth and slammed me against the wall. Force exerted by that person was strong and i felt a severe pain in my back.. I can feel that the person was muscular man and his scent seemed familiar to me. The only masculine scent i always felt familiar was him.

Yes..him...my ruthless husband...but what was he doing here in this hospital at late night???

After a few seconds, he slowly removed his hand from my mouth as i struggled to breath normally.

"Ouch!!!..... Those words came out of my mouth because i felt a severe pain in my back.

He pulled back himself from me and stood calmly. I was surprised by his actions and his gentleness because i never seen him quiet and docile. 

I iginited the lights in the room and  rubbed my aching back and asked " Why are you here at this late night..??"

He didn't opened his f**king mouth as if he was dumb. His silence wondered me and it was like a dream. 

"I asked you something.."I glanced him with some boldness in my voice.

" Aunty daphne told me to take care of you in the hospital.." He gritted his teeth and clenched his jaw.

A low smirk appeared in my face but I quickly suppressed all my thoughts not to piss him off. He glared me with his rage filled dark eyes  such as he was going to rip my smooth skin from my body.

My eyes locked with his cold gaze which sent chills down my spine and i clearly felt my heart pounding against my chest.

I quickly dropped my eyes and stubbornly said "I can take care of myself and there is no need for you to do all these unfamiliar things..."

He lifted my chin with a great force  to look deep into his dark eyes which gave me a intense pain. He slowly came near my face like he was about to kiss my soft pink lips. I distinctly felt his hot breath on my reddened cheeks. My eyes widened and my legs trembled with fear.

I pushed him back with the last strength left inside me and sneered "Aiden, have you gone mad???...what's wrong with you today????...."

He shook his head and left out of the room without saying a single word....
