NARRATORJason looked excited and distressed as his hand moved across the screen of his iPad, scrolling through the pictures on the screen with so much concentration that one might think that he was balancing a million dollar account. He was so lost that he didn't notice when a slight knock sounded on the door before it was pushed open."What are you doing?" he heard a familiar voice and quickly looked up at once. A smile crept up his face, abandoning what he was doing to focus on his brother, who had a dark conflicted expression on his face. "Look who is here. Is it going to rain today?" he let out, as he stood up and rushed over to the window, flipping the blinds to take a look. "What are you doing?" Rock asked, furrowing his brows.Jason looked back and smiled, "Checking if the weather has changed, oh, it has." he said, pointing at the cloud. "I'm sure it will rain soon. I can't believe you came to my office for the first time since I started to work here."Rock sighed with a ro
NARRATOR Resting his muddled head against the car's seat, Rock sighed while closing his eyes. The meeting with Mr. Gilbert had just ended and it had taken him so much effort to endure the agonizing duration of the meeting. He couldn't concentrate as his attention was divided, and all he could think about was his wife. He was grateful that the meeting had ended perfectly without any problems thanks to his professionalism. He would've canceled the meeting, but he couldn't because it was very important. So he had to give all his best, irrespective of his personal issues. At some point, he became so impatient and couldn't just wait for the meeting to end. All he thought about was his wife. She probably didn't know that he was already aware of her affairs. She must be in the store smiling at the customers like usual. He wished he could just see her face right now, but that could wait till after he had met Greg. Greg was holding back some piece of vital information from Rock and had r
"What are you doing here?""To see you, of course."Rose walked over to a couch in her office and sat down while crossing her legs, arms folded. She looked so elegant, calm and collected like nothing was happening. It was as if nothing could affect her. "I'm listening, make it snappy. I'm a busy person," she barked, glaring impatiently at Katherine. Katherine couldn't help but roll her eyes inwardly, she was irritated beyond imagination. Rose's calm demeanor when the storm was obviously approaching was so baffling and unnerving. And God knows that she has had enough of her nonsense. She wanted to know if the lady would remain calm and unfazed after hearing what she was about to say. "Before you keep pretending like nothing is happening, do you even stop to ponder over what would happen if your husband finds out about you and Alex?" she asked, her hands emphasizing how serious she was."Who knows? Why do you ask?" Rose shrugged. "Go ahead and tell me why you're here," she said, as s
NARRATOR Alex inhaled sharply upon the sight of Rose. He closed and opened his eyes, but she was still there and he was doomed. Rose gasped, taking some wary steps back as she saw the faces that weren't supposed to be there. That was when she realized she'd actually done something unreasonable, she'd done this, not even stopping to give Alex a call. How was she supposed to know that her husband was already one step ahead of her? She just stood there at the entrance, heart racing in her chest, not knowing whether to take a step into the room or turn back and make a run for it. She felt like the ground could just open and swallow her. The look on Rock's face showed how disappointed, disgusted and angry he was and, at this point, she knew the man could do anything to her. She'd been careful, discreet and calculated with her moves all these years only to mess up at the end. Her situation rightly fits the saying 'everyday for the thief and one day for the owner'. "I'm screwed" was
"Hey, what are you doing here?" Katherine looked up, her brows furrowed as she stared questioningly at the young man standing before her. He just smiled at her, before sitting opposite her."It's you that I should be asking the same question. What are you doing here, Ms. Whites?" Eric smiled, folding his hand to his chest while leaning his back against the chair. He looked intently at Katherine, who seemed to be immersed in sadness."How did you know that I was here?""Have you forgotten that you called me?""Oh that's true, I called you.""I assume the spicy food you're gulping down made you forget, and I will try to ignore the liquid in the bottle. Why are you here looking so moody and sad?""Huhmm..." Katherine sighed loudly, dropping her spoon, while she picked up the glass of whiskey from the table and drank. She placed the glass back on the table after downing the drink. She then looked up at Eric, who had a confused expression on his face."When I left that luxurious store tha
The dark sky slowly fades like a foam, and the daylight eagerly takes over. It was the dawn of a new day!"Ahhh..." Katherine groaned, rolling onto her side, while she held onto her head as a piercing headache hit her. She slowly sat up, squinting her eyes, as she slowly scanned the room, sighing in relief when she realized she was in her room. Then the events of yesterday began flooding into her head. "Hmm?" she gasped, covering her mouth with the palm of her hand when she realized she was in her pajamas. Her face instantly flushed from embarrassment, as she gritted her teeth in regret. She quickly grabbed her phone, dialing the number of the only person she could remember spending the previous evening with. "Hello" a raspy voice was heard from the other end of the call. "Hey, that you're gay doesn't mean you should take off a woman's dress without her consent. How dare you look at my body without my permission?" Katherine wasted no time in voicing her disappointment and anger.
KATHERINE One whole week had passed and my boss’s attitude towards me remained the same. If anything, it had worsened, his poker face and chilling Aura had increased tremendously. Scary. Once again, I'm back to the old times; forcing myself to put up with the stressful and draining atmosphere while working. I'm now subjected to pressure, while making sure that I do my job carefully and diligently to avoid getting scolded or reprimanded by my sudden strange and angry boss.I sighed, as I leaned back on my chair, letting my mind wander a little. However, the only memory that came flooding my line of vision was one certain day which I won't forget easily. I shuddered, shutting my thoughts immediately. On that very day, I had been so careless and in haste, that I omitted some vital information in the review which I gave to him and he had given me the scold of my life with so much rage. Although I have been getting all the shouting and scolding in abundance from him lately and it
Rock got to the terrified woman and paused as he slowly knelt before her. His lips curled slightly as he threw her a scary smile, frightening her the more. He knew exactly how he looked at the moment and the effect his appearance had on her. She was afraid of him. He couldn't help but wonder why she never considered this moment when she decided to throw her slutty self into another man's arms."Did you ever love me, for once in the past three years? All those times you professed your love to me, those smiles and kisses, those memories. Was anything from you ever real? Was it all an act to keep deceiving me? " He suddenly asked, pain in his voice as he stared curiously at her. "Yes," Rose nodded firmly. "I did love you. Not all the memories were lies," she said, while Rock just chuckled with a shake of his head. Although Rose was trying hard to make her voice sound as believing as possible, she knew that he didn't buy the lies."I'm really sorry," Rose continued to plead. "I real
