There comes a time when we all must face the truth...
And also a time when we must look back into our life...
Because looking back is like collecting pieces of a puzzle...
A puzzle that leads you towards your future....

When i was a kid, i used to dream about having responsibilities of my own, go to work, have a career, hang out with my adult friends.... all the things i thought would make life awesome. But it was after i had my first job and voted in my first election that i realized being an adult sucks. It was when i grew up that i remembered being a kid was a sweet gig.
When you're a kid, all the big stuff never mattered and you are allowed to dream without limitations. When you're a kid, people took care of you when you get sick and you are sheltered from the cruelty that is this world. When you're a kid, all your friends wanted nothing but to olay with you and would tell you to your face whether or not the like you. But most of all when you're a kid, you dont want the day to end and you hate going to sleep because you have somuch playing left to do.
But it is when you become an adult that you realize that dreams alone are impossible to make a living out of, yoy have to suck up to all your mistakes and responsibilities, that nomatter how sick you are you have to keep working because you are your own care taker, half the people you call your best friends dont even like you, but most of all you cant wait for the day to end and rest yohr eyes before your alarm wakes you up for more tortue.
But my dream as a child broke sooner than those of my friends. Which is why i cherish my memories as a kid more that others..." thought Year to herself as she got near her stop back to her home town that she had left years ago which felt like a life time.
When the bus stoped and the doors opened, she looked through them wondering if she had made the right desicion on coming back.
But she remembered as she felt the leather of her case that she came here for a reason.
She came here to find the one who gave a a reason to look forward to tomorrow.

Year longed for this day for a long time now and it is finally here. She could hear her heart beating in her chest from both excitement and regret.
But since she was already there, she thought she could go through with it. She carefully stepped off of the bus and took her first step on the ground she had once known. She clench the violin case and gave herself courage to continue. The first place her feet led her to was the playground. It looked exactly how she remembered it. As she sat on the swings she had once played with for hours, she drifted deep in a sea of old memories. She was just a girl when she left but God, did she have fun in this playground. She remembered pushing her childhood friend Justin off this swing that she had sat on. She remembered being dominant in her days of childhood and how she was the playground master. 'White lita' they used to call her after one if the greatest female professional wrestlers 'Lita' who was well known for her ruthless skills in the wrestling ring. They added the 'white' because of her hair colour. She remembered how she would clime on top of tables and body slam anyone who would cross her. Where did that strong little girl dissapeared to? She wondered. She might have been small but she was never pushed around for her white hair or her weird name 'Year'. Why did my parents name me 'Year'? she would always wonder. She stood up from the swing and continued. The next place she went to was the bench she spent most of her time crying. It was on this bench she felt she could let her tears out. She never cared if people looked at her i wonderous looks. She sat there and looked back at all the christmass she spent on this bench because life was so unfair. She kept walking around, still diving deep in to her memories when she felt a hard push on her left shoulder that she hanged her back bag on. Who ever pushed her was well trained because she flew across the road and landed on her back. The man that pushed her, picked up her bag and ran as if he saw a ghost. She couldn't run after him because she was crawling to where her violin case was thrown. She quickly looked at the case flipping it in between her arm wondering if it was fine. Then she opened the case to see if her violin was ok. She took a huge breath of relief and looked around for her bag. And it hits her. her bag was stollen. Everything she needed was in that bag. Her money, her phone, her clothe... everything but her violin was stollen. She hit her forehead wondering why she had caried her bad with just one shoulder. She needed the bag and it was unlikely that the man who took it was going to give it back so she went to the police. But at the moment no one was able to help her. She felt like she had been right the whole time. She was wrong to come back to her hometown. She lost her pase. It's as if the man didn't just took her bag, he had stollen her brain as well. She didn't know what to do or where to go so she decided. It was time for her to go to her house. After a long walk she finally made it, the house she was born in but never felt like calling it home. The thought of walking in gave her chills. But she had nowhere else to go. Now all she had to do was convince herself to walk in.'What could go wrong?' she thought to herself she would be seeing her mother and father who never showed her any king of parently affection and she would see her big brother who was also her sworen enemy and her little brother who probably does even remember her face. NO! She turned around to leave. There was no ay she would ever stomach seeing them again. So she tried to escape before anyone saw her. And that was when she heard her name "Year" someone had called her. She begged God that it would be no one from her family as she slowly turned around and saw a handsome man standing infront of her.The handsome man looked at her close and carefully as he walked towards her. "Year?" he called out again as if to make sure that his eyes weren't playing any tricks on him. But as soon as he was sure it was her, he leaped over and wraped his arms around her.Startled by the actions of this man she tried to remember who could be so excited to see her in this town. He pulled away and stared at her with his blue eyes. The way he looked at her, the way he smiled and the tiny mole under his left eye gave her a clue as to who he was. It was him, the boy she had once loved and played with, the boy she had thought she would never see again, the boy whom she had pushed off of the swing... it was him. Her childhood friend..."Justin""Justin"As soon as she said his name, both of their faces light up. It has been ten years since they have seen each other and yet he recognized her. Of course, how could he forget? He had lived close to her for 14 years until the day her parents sent her away. He looked at her up and down in amusement. She had grown a little taller that she was before but she was still small. She dresses just as she did when they were kids. She wore over sized T- shirt that always hides her body under a hoody jacket and black pants with white chuck- tailers. Her hair, still white as milk and her eyes, black as coal. Her cheeks were as chubby as always and had always taunted him to pinch then between his fingers. Her beautiful smile with her perfectly shiny teeth was as he remembered she was. He on the other hand had changed more. His childhood face was still there but his jaw line had sharpened. His hair, dark as the night and his eyes blue as the sea. His style was also still the same but
She was close. She could feel it in her bones. It was finally time to unmask the man she had been looking for. It took her three years to get to this point. Year glanced over to her violin case and then back to her notebook. She opened to the part where she had written about him. Secret santa: the title reads. She didn't know who it was but it was finally time to meet the person who has been gifting her Christmas for the past four years. Fourteen years old Year stood up and walked over to the board that she used to track her progress on finding her secret santa. She had been going block after block, apartment after apartment, house after house searching for a man that would fit the description for the last three years. Her town might not have been that big, but looking for a single man was like looking for a needel in a haysack. But she kept looking. And after three years she had two more houses left, assuming that the person does live in town. She ran out quickly and went t
Year sat on the bed and stretched her arms above her head to relax her muscles. She looked over to the violin case as she let her hands down. She had mixed feelings. Year didn't know whether is was excitement or nerves. It was the same feeling she had when she was heading over to the last house ten years ago. But she knew, today she was not going to fail. As she was swimming deep in her thoughts, the scent of food snapped her out of it. She got out of bed and let her nose lead the way. She walked down the stairs and into the kitchen. The marvelous kitchen was filled with scent of egg. It was she when laid eyes on the food that she realized how hungry she was. Her mouth watered as her nose filled with the wondeful smell. She swallowed the scent as if she was eating it when a voice startled her."Good morning!" Justin said with a smile."Good morning!" She replied as she pulled her eyes off of the food and onto him. His hair was messy and wet as it laid on his forehead. He s
The house was getting torn down. Year's jaw dropped out of disbelife. She walked closer to one of the construction workers. "why are you tearing the house down." She asked. The construction worker looked at her up and down wondering who she was. "May i ask who you are?" He asked in a firm tone pushing his eyebrows together. "Oh, i'm sorry, a friend of mine used to live here." His frowned face relaxed. "The new owner is building a new center." "The new owner? What about the old owner?" Year asked almost speaking to herself. The man looked at her in a curious look. She looked at the man and cleared her throat. "Then can i ask who the new owner is?" The man looked at how desperate she was and took a sigh. He turned around and called one if his men and asked for a business card. "The new owner gave me this. Here. I hope it helps.Year took the card and thanked the man for helping her. The business card was from a company in town that produces and sells music instruments un
Justin ran after year cussing himself for exposing her to Austin. He opened the door and looked into the house. He wasn't even sure if she was at home. But then he heard it. A sad yet angry crying scream filled the house. Justin followed the sound to her bedroom door. He wanted to knock but his hand stopped right before hitting the door. Her voice was filled with dispair. She was heartbroken and he could hear it. It made him flinch where he stood as he felt his heart ache as she cried. He wanted to make her feel better but for now, all he could do for her was let her be.*** The next morning, Year woke up with a shooting headache that with every move traveled up and down her body. How long did she cry to feel this way? As she made her way to the bathroom, she caught a glimpse of her face and she looked horrible. Her eyes were red and swollen. Her face was pale as if she was drained of her blood. Her messy white hair made her look worse. She started to untangle it with her hand
