Whether it goes into the woods or not. Who’s going to examine it? Soon, Caleb, Bianca, and the others are treated in the hospital. It’s not a big issue after some days. The school was careless and didn’t have an idea to investigate it. Things were back to normal. Lacrosse can’t practice in the school area until the construction work is finished. It’s ongoing, which will be done before the match. It’s pretty difficult to fix the crack in the ground. The principal announced that the crack isn’t anybody’s fault.

“How’s your brother?” Bill asked Care, leaning on the wall taking a break from work.

“He’s good. I was being stressed nowadays,” said Care, letting out a sign standing next to him. No call from Daniel worries her a little. But most of the stress is on her work. Care and Charlotte alone can’t able to pay for their life every day. She had already taken leave for a few days to watch her brother’s health.

“You are a strong woman. No need to worry about this. If you need any help, I am here to help you,” Bill assured her. She nodded innocently, looked up at him, and tried to smile.

“That’s the spirit. You are so beautiful when you smile,” said Bill, keeping his hand on her cheek. They both stared into each other eyes. When Care was about to turn, Bill caught her with a soft kiss on her lips. She's not sure of know what to do. She always thought of him as her close friend. Within a second, she kissed him back. It’s her first kiss. She just caught up at that moment. Her best friend is kissing her, which is shocking to her.

“Hey... someone ordered for a...” Clary entered the kitchen and stood still in her place.

“I think Iam interrupting you,” she muttered under her breath in shock.

“No” Care managed to say that word with a little embarrassment.

“Then who ordered what?” Bill asked like there’s nothing happened in the kitchen. Others are working without even noticing these two. They both didn’t talk about the kiss for the rest of the day.

While in the music studio located near Ruby’s house, people are getting autographs from Ruby and Taylor. That doesn’t mean she is very popular. It’s her step towards her singing career. They both working on a new song of their own.

“Iam so happy to meet you. You are my idol,” a teen boy excitedly spoke to Ruby. Sometimes Taylor gets irritated when Ruby has more fans than her. What’s special talent Ruby got than her? Taylor can’t able to find answers to that. But Ruby’s singing partner and her friend. A friend should be happy for their friend’s success. Right?

“Thank you. Thank you” Ruby smiled brightly at her fan. While signing, Ruby got a call from Chloe.

“Hey. Where are you?” Chloe nervously asked.

“You should probably know that,” Ruby spoke silently, getting away from her fans.

“I know it. But Sookie told she saw you in the school ground” Chloe asked in doubt. She believed what Sookie said. No one should enter the ground according to the rules.

“On grounds, it’s a nice joke. I am in my studio now. How can I be there?” Ruby calmly explained to her.

“Sorry if I disturbed you. Maybe my friends mistook you for someone. Iam coming there to see you,” she hung up the phone. Her friends should have probably told her to show Ruby is not following the rules. Maybe Chloe needs to start keeping a distance from Sookie and Sara. They always hate Ruby.

Soon, Chloe reached the studio to find Ruby. It seems like the fans have already gone home.

“Can I help you in any way?” A security guard asked her when she looked like a lost child.

“I heard Ruby is signing for her fans,”

“The session is over now. But there’s a concert is about to start now.” he pointed his hands towards the big hall.

“Yeah. Thank you” she rushed into the concert hall and bumped into someone.

“Ouch,” she looked up at a boy.

“Hey, Ian. You should be on the stage right now,” she asked. Three of them work together every time.

“It’s not a piano concert. They two going to sing. You are at the right time. We should probably find a seat.” Ian grabs her by her elbow and found a comfortable place to watch their friends. At first, Taylor came into view followed by ruby.

“Hey, guys. Thank you for waiting. We are going to sing a cover song. I think you are eager for it,” Taylor spoke to everyone boldly. There’s a loud cheer everywhere around Ian and Chloe. Some are shouting 'Ruby' and others are shouting 'Taylor'. Slowly, the music filled the hall, and the song began.

The song ended soon with loud applause. After the fans left the hall, Ian and Chloe made their way to their friends on the stage.

“It’s awesome. Young successful girls.” Ian praised them. But Ruby’s face was so dull, like she had been working the whole night without sleep.

“You seem tired.” Chloe keenly stared at her.

“It’s nothing. I had a fight with my mom yesterday and… why Caleb isn’t here?” she changed the question and looked disappointed.

“He got many pending works in school due to being absence for a few days.” Ruby nodded and headed out of the hall, waving to them. Chloe got worried about Ruby’s behaviour. She always stays alone with all her misery kept inside her. She is dealing with her weakness of not being able to survive in this world.

"I should go home. I have many pending works to do. It’s all because of Ruby." Taylor complained to herself after she left.

“Why?” Chloe asked her, annoyingly.

“She left the studio for a while, keeping her fans waiting for an hour. That’s the reason why the concert started late. Now I should be in home” Taylor glanced at her watch anxiously and left the hall. Chloe thought to herself, ‘where would Ruby bunk her singing session?’
