Lily

There are worse things than being stranded outside your college and getting scolded by your mother . For example , I would have been forced to apologise when I was not even wrong. Yeah that would have been the worst .

But just because things could be worse didn't mean they didn't suck .

" I won't listen to any of your bullshits this time , when are you going to act more like your sister huh?" my mom shouted nearly making me go deaf .

" Mom, chill , we are in front of the college, relax , lily will you explain what happened , for you to get a serious warning on the first day of your college." and here comes Kiara , the ideal daughter of my parents and my elder sister .

" It wasn't my fault mom , that boy was taunting me , I tried to ignore but then he crossed the line and started insulting my family so I just taught him a little lesson." I huffed tired of this bullshit .

" Seriously , which little lesson includes a handprint on a cheek , swollen eye and a broken finger?" she exclaimed sarcastically .

" My little lesson includes all of this mother ." I can clearly see her being more pissed at me , which I don't care about. I was in no fault.

" Will you please shut up? Mom is trying to control her anger , which you are putting fuel to by showing your attitude rather than apologising."

" Why would I apologise I did no wrong , he was the one to start it all he should be one to apologise not me " I replied in my defence.

" Just apologise and end this already " Kiara glared at me. My anger boiled and before I could stop it my frustrations spilled out .

" Well he shouldn't have done such things if he didn't have any balls to bear the outcome of his actions " I said and ran away from there and away from my sister .

She'd always been the Ms. Popular , overly sweet , honey dripping from her every single word and rarely gets angry like a girl who everyone falls in love with.

I am her opposite . Not unpopular but people mostly don't approach me. The first reason , my bitch of a serious resting face and the second reason my anger issue.

The ability I have, to be brutal and cruel with both my words or beating someone up. It is scary for most people and the one of the reasons that I never had a relationship before , but hey who cares I love my own company .

I was walking through corners of the market , I somehow ended up in, while daydreaming. When suddenly I bumped into someone and we both fell on our butts.

I was about to shout at that stupid person when I saw her , it looked like I was looking in a mirror.

I heard before that everyone in this world has seven lookalikes , but damn I never thought I would meet one of mine. Before I could say anything she looked at me in horror grabbed my hand and in an instant , the next moment I know I was running somewhere while holding her hand .

" What the actual fuck is happening right now , why you look like me , who the fuck are you and why in the fucking world we are running "

" Look I know this is super weird , and I am sorry but right now I am in trouble , look at the back " she whispered .

I did as she said and looked back , only to find five hulk type bulky mens in suits chasing us , they looked like professional bodyguards you watch in movies .

" What the , why the hell they are chasing you , look if you are some drug dealer , fraud or thief leave me right now "

" Hey , I am not some drug dealer , fraud or whatever they are my bodyguard catching me since I ran away from my home. And look at yourself you look exactly like me, if you don't run with me they will catch you instead of me " she replied while pressing her lips together in a apologetic smile .

" Catch her up you idiots , we can't lose her again "

I stumbled and nearly fell on the ground of the crowded market , as I heard one of the men chasing us shout. I looked towards the right side , at my doppelganger.

Like is there even a word that describes someone who looks so similar to you. I tightly held her hand and started running even faster .

" Wow , amazing, like my day wasn't going any bad enough , will you run faster or you want to get caught? " I almost shouted out in frustration .

" Sorry I am trying , it's not like I run a marathon with men chasing me daily."

" Well neither do I Ms. Lookalike."

Finally after what felt like running for an eternity , we were able to escape the sights of those mens and after confirming that we finally lost them. That girl took me to a hotel room.

The second we entered her hotel room , I immediately fell to my knees. Grabbing the cold water bottle from the nearby small fridge. I gulped down the water like I was thirsty from ages .

I then looked towards that girl who was still making sure no one was around .

" Chill Ms. Lookalike there is no one don't worry , what is even your name ? I am Lily Singh for your info. " I said, grabbing her attention .

" Oh sorry I have to make sure and double check that it's safe. By the way I am Mia Mancini and well , I am sorry for the chaos you had to go through. " she said with the sweetest smile which actually lifted my bad mood a little. She is nice now I am super curious about her .

" Oh no , no it's ok I am fine." I said while passing her a water bottle , which she drank in an instant .

" To be honest I still can't believe what is happening , I mean it's just so weird and like I can't even explain." she said with an unbelievable look on her face.

" Don't worry I am feeling the same , umm I kinda want to know more about you like , what are you doing here , who you are , why did you run away from your house and like so much more. " I said breathlessly

" Same " she replied , “ I also can't stop thinking about such things. I mean we look so similar like we are twins or something , but at the same time there are differences if you look closer.” I chuckled at her face as she described her excitement. So I told her everything about myself .

“ Wow you are strong. I wish I was even ten percent as strong and brave as you are . I still can't believe that you just beat a boy up a few hours ago only." She looked like an amused little puppy .

Oh God I agree we look similar but we are so opposite. She looks so innocent and cute even her resting face is smiley, unlike mine .

“ Mia I , I wanted to ask you something.” I said hesitantly

“What is it ?” she replied with confusion all over her face .

“Look I know it may be your personal matter but since we have such a similar face I guess I should know who those men were and why they were chasing you around.” At first she paused for a few minutes.

Then after taking a long breath she told me everything .

What the actual fuck was the only thing I was abel to process .

“ Woh , woh man your life is a living tv drama seriously. And for god sake why are you so weak and fragile if it would have been me, your cousins , aunt and especially that guy. What was his name again , yah Dante all of them will not even be able to look at you forget about bullying you.”

As I said that Mia came towards me and suddenly hugged me tight with tears in her eyes. Wait, is she crying but why? Did I say something wrong or did I scare her?

“ Mia I am sorry if I said something to make you sad please don't cry.” I said panicking.

“ I am not crying because I am sad, I am crying because I am happy it feels like my granny is talking.”

Aww listening to her I also got emotional. I may seem and act very tough and brave but from inside I am also very sensitive like mia.

The difference is just that I am not as naive as her and knows how to take a stand for myself and I can also slap while crying and she can't.

“ Why is our life like this? I hope I was a little more sweet so my mumma could be at ease for a moment.” I said

“ So true. I also wish I was brave enough to stand in front of Dante or my family and take my stand.” She replied and hugged me more tightly and that was when my evil mind started planning some evil plans.

I suddenly wiped my tears away, breaking the hug with Mia. I praised my mind for such an amazing idea .

“What happened?” Mia asked in puzzlement.

“ I have an amazing idea that can actually solve both of our problems. And we can also chill , away from our homes for a while.” I said as Mia looked curiously towards me .

“Let's switch our life's with each other”.
